尽可能的在文章中找到答案句训练一A recently survey(近期调查)shows that11-15years old have£18every week to spend.About37%of students’spent money goes to CDs and Afterwards, you should say, "Excuse me." This is a rule I set for my students. It is so simple, but many kids have never been told to do this. In fact, I notice adults cough and sneeze in public without putting a hand over the mouth. I hate travelling by underground in New York during cold and flu season, because it is certain that someone is going to stand right behind me and cough or sneeze on my neck. One important thing I point out to the kids is that after theysneeze or cough on their hands, they should wash their hands as soon as possible. Otherwise, they will pass those germs(病菌) along to everything and everyone they touch. In order to help the kids remember this rule, I tell them about an old story. It says that when you sneeze, evil spirits will jump into your body. If you don't cover your mouth, the spirits will enter. But if you cover your mouth, you will keep them out. We say "God bless you!" when someone sneezes, and in Germany you should say "Gesundheit." That means "Good health to you." Both expressions are said just in case you don't cover your mouth in time and the spirits are able to enter your body. The kids love finding out the origins(起源) of these expressions and they are encouraged to put the advice to use more often.( )1. The seeds are affected by the radiation(辐射)and low gravity in space. When they are brought back to the earth, these seeds produce vegetables that are bigger and healthier than normal vegetables. However, some people worry about eating space vegetables. They think that space vegetables might not be good for us and could make us get sick because of the radiation in space. However, people should not be frightened because space vegetables are very healthy. Here are some facts that you should know about space vegetables.Space vegetables are grown from seeds that are carefully chosen. When seeds are broughtback from space, they are tested to make sure that they will be safe to eat.Space vegetables are better for you than normal vegetables. For example, space tomatoes stay fresh for twenty days, which is one week longer than normal tomatoes. After genetically modified(转基因)food appeared in the market, people worried that they were eating unknown things. For example, if nut genes(坚果基因)are put inside potatoes, people allergic to nuts might get sick from eating these potatoesbecause they do not know they are also eating nuts. Unlike genetically modified food, space vegetables have not been genetically changed. This means that no new genes are put into the vegetables. Therefore, there are no dangers of eating something unknown.1. He had forgotten her name.Barbara hid her valuable things when she went on vacation. When she came back, she couldn't remember where she'd put them.Perhaps you've had such experiences like these. Most people have. But most of them haven't realized that they have a memory problem. Neither do they know a simple but important fact: Memory can be improved. If you'll just accept that, the following will show you how.First,relax. If you are over worried about remembering something, you'll forget it. If you keep telling yourself that your memory is bad, your mind will come to believe it and you won't remember things. When you forget something, don't follow up with sayings like“Oh,my God ! I always forget things !” Such words will have a bad result on you and your memory. But relaxing isn't enough. To improve your memory, you'll need to take an active role. Like your body, your memory can be made strong through exercise. Look for opportunities(机会)to exercise your memory. For example,if you're learning a language, try to actively remember a lot of new words. If you don't take notice of things actively, you won't remember them. So, you can make pictures of what you see in your mind every day. For example, don't just put your keys down! The purpose of the passage is to help you .A. to improve your memoryB. to introduce the guestC. to remember new wordsD. to forget unhappy things(十三)As you move around your home, take a good look at the things you have. It is likely that your living room has a television set and a video, and your kitchen has a washing machine and a microwave oven. Your bedroom drawers are filled with almost three times-as many clothes as you need. You almost certainly own a car and possibly a home computer, holidays abroad at least once a year and eat out at least once a week. Now, perhaps, more than ever before, people are wondering what life is all about, and what it is for. Getting material success begin to trouble large numbers of people around the world. They feel that the long-hour work culture to make more money to buy more things is eating up their lives, leaving them very little time or energy for families. Many are turning to other ways of living and downshifting is one of them.。

The following ways will make others like you.Do this and you will be welcome anywhereBecome really interested in other people. A show of interest must be true. I t must bring good results not only to the person showing the interest, but also to the person receiving the attention. It is a two-way street-both of you get an advantage. An easy way to make a good first impression(印象)Smile as often as possible. Your smile is a sign of kindness. When someone feels stressed(有压力的)from his or her teachers or parents, your smile is like the sun breaking through the clouds. Your smile can help him or her realize(意识到)that all is hopeful---there is still joy in the world. If you don’t do this, you are getting into trouble.Remember a person’s name. A person’s name is the sweetest and the most important sound in any language. We should realize the magic in a name. The name makes the person different from others; it makes him or her special among all others. If you remember a person’s name, the relationship(关系)between both of you will become much closer. An easy way to become a good talkerBe a careful listener first. Ask questions that other persons will like to answer. Encourage (鼓励)them to talk about themselves and their achieve ments. What you need to do is just listen,A speaker was giving a talk to his student on what to do with stress(压力). He held up a glass of water and asked the students, “How heavy do you think this glass of water is?” The students’ answers were different, from 20g to 500g.“It does not matter on the exact weight. It depends on(取决于) how long you hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it is OK. If I hold it for an hour, I will have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you will send me to the hospital. It is the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.”“If we carry our burdens(负担) all the time, we will not be able to carry on, because the burden is becoming heavier and heavier. What you have to do is to put the glass down, have a rest for a while and then hold it up again.”We have to put down the burden sometimes, so that we can cheer up and are able to carry on. So before you return home from work tonight, put the burden of work down. Stop carrying it back home. You can pick it up tomorrow.Whatever burdens you are having now on your shoulders, let it down for a moment if you can. Many people enjoy skiing (滑雪), but more and more people are trying snowboarding (踏板滑雪).No one is sure who started snowboarding. Many believe it was Jack Burchett. In 1929, Burchett made a simple snowboard out of wood and tied (系) it to his feet.Snowboarding is now a popular winter sport, but twenty years ago, snowboarders (滑雪者)could not do it in ski resorts (滑雪场)because resorts owners thought it was a dangerous activity. Snowboarders usually found other places to enjoy the sport. Today snowboarders are welcome at most ski resorts. Snowboarding has become an Olympic sport.Snowboarding is an exciting sport, but it can be dangerous. Many snowboarders get hurt (受伤) every year. Before snowboarding, you should take lessons and make sure you are in good health. You also should check your snowboard to make sure nothing is wrong with it.Remember, never snowboard alone.(snowboard n.滑雪板v.做踏板滑雪运动)There are different outdoor activities for different seasons. In spring we can fly kites. In summer, we can go swimming or sailing, In autumn, it is a good idea to camp or hike. In winter, we can go to ski or skate. They bring us a lot of fun. They make us strong and fit, too. So it is important for people of all ages to take part in some outdoor activities at the right time. There are many group activities, like football and basketball. The members work together for the same goal(目标). So group activities need team spirit(团队精神). It is very useful for a person to have team spirit. It is good for us in life and work.Old people like walking and jogging. These outdoor activities don't need much strength(气力)Young people like exciting activities, like diving潜水), skiing and horse riding. Children like fun activities like lying kites. Some outdoor activities are dangerous, like climbing rocks. So we must be careful when we take part in them.Do you know how to do the goose step (正步走)? Can you make your quilt (被子) look like a piece of tofu? You can learn all these skills in military training (军训). Schools in other countries also have military training programs for students. What do they usually d o? Let’s take a look. South KoreaIn South Korea, men between the ages of 20 and 30 must serve in the army (服役). They usually serve for two years. Children also have military training in elementary school (小学). They have different kinds of activities, such as hiking and walking through mountains at night. Sometimes, the activities are very difficult. For example, students need to exercise in the snow without wearing shirts. The USUS schools don’t ask students to do military training. If children are intere sted in the military, theycan join military camps. The government (政府) also holds activities for children to experience military life. Children learn how to work in a team and work out hard problems by themselves. For example, a group has to climb over a high wall. If even one person falls down, the whole group needs to do it again. So working together helps them finish the task.RussiaIn Russia, boys between the ages of 15 and 16 have to join in a five-day military training program. They learn skills such as shooting (射击), parachute jumping (跳伞) and cooking outside. Students also learn military history. Recently, Russia has encouraged all schoolchildren from 14 to 18 to try military training.(六)Hobbies are activities, which we do in our free time. There are so many kinds of hobbies one can choose for his or her own. Some hobbies are really expensive, and some are even dangerous. The most popular hobbies in our country are as follows:Collecting hobbies We can collect a lot of things. Usually people collect the stamps, postcards or coins. Some people collect unusual things like old cars, old motorbikes or other interesting things, which could be very expensive.Art hobbies Going to the theatre, concert(音乐会), opera; playing some instrument(the most popular instrument is guitar); painting, writing, poetry. There are many clubs—such as singing, dancing, etc.Sports games Everybody does some sport activities—sport can keep us fit. Many students are members of a sports club—basketball, volleyball or swimming. The other popular hobby is watching TV or a video, playing computer or video games, but it is not so good for your eyes and your mind. Many people here like to spend their free time readingbooks, magazines and newspapers. Some people like listening to music better. Going out can be very expensive now. Many students would like to make use of their hobbies in their future jobs, e.g. working with computer, but it is not so easy. Hobbies are very important for everybody. A man would be very poor without a hobby and would not be happy. The haze(雾霾)is a big problem in cities. How much do you know about haze? Haze can be also called “smog”. The word “smog”is from the words“smoke”and“fog”. It is a kind of air pollution(污染) mostly because of heavy traffic and polluting factories. Smog is not good for our health. Here are some easy ways to stop it hurting you.1.Don`t do exercise in the openExercising in the open makes you breathe(呼吸) deeply, and you will take in the particles(颗粒物) deep into your lungs(肺). So stop exercising outside when there is haze.2.Stay indoors and keep the air cleanIf you can, just stay in your room and don’t open your windows. When there is haze around the city, the best way to stop haze hurting you is to stay away from it.3.Wear a maskPaper and cotton masks can`t help you in the haze weather. Some special masks, such as N95 masks, can keep you from breathing in the particles in the air.4.Change your dietScientists find that vitamin A,C and E can greatly help keep your eyes ,nose and lungs safe. So eat more green vegetables and fresh fruit every day. What`s more, do not eat food with too much fat.Are you tired of seeing buses and buildings everywhere in your city? Why not enjoy the beauty of nature(自然美景) in a national(国家的) park .National parks are large areas of public(公共的) land. They are safe homes to plants and animals. They help keep the air and water clean. They also give us the best advertures(冒险). Here we pick aome greatest national parks around the world. If you are a nature lover or an animal fan, you can find your favourite one here.Grand Canyon National Park, the USAThe Grand Canyon is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. Many people know it because of itssize and depth. It’s 446 kilometres long, up to 29 kilometres wide and 1,857 metres deep. Every year about 5,000,000 people visit the park.Lijiang River National Park, ChinaLijiang River is in Guilin. Limestone caves(石灰岩洞) and green hills along the river are amazing. The hills are different in shape(形状). One looks like an elephant drinking water with its trunk(象鼻). So people call the hill “Elephant Trunk”. The best way to enjoy Lijiang River is to take a boat trip from Guilin to Yangshuo.Lake District National Park, EnglandThe Lake District National Park is south of Scotland (苏格兰).It is the largest national park in England. It has an area of about 885 square miles. The park is home to Wastwater(沃斯特湖)----the deepest lake in England. It is about 79 metres deep. The park is a great place for water sports lovers. You can swim, sail and windsurf.People make many different kinds of homes around the world. Weather tells us what kindof homes we need to make.In hot places such as southern China and southern USA, the weather is warm so people can be outside most of the time. But they still need to keep themselves safe from sun, rain and insects (昆虫). Homes in such places can have screens(滤网)on their windows and doors. They let the wind into the home, but keep out the insects. In Canada, northern China and other cold places, homes need to keep out the cold and keep in the heat. These homes need thick walls. If there is a lot of snow, the roofs (屋顶) need to let the snow fall off easily. These homes cannot have flat roofs. The roofs must also be strong, so they can hold a lot of snow. What kind of home do you live in? Is it good for the weather you have?Last year, I did not like my English class. Every class was like a bad dream. The teacher spoke very quickly and I couldn’t understand her most of the time. I was afraid to ask questions because I didn’t know how to read the words correctly. I just hid behind my t extbook and never said anything in class. Then one day I watched an English movie—Toy Story. I fell in love with this exciting and funny movie. So I began to watch other English movies, too. Although I could not understand everything the characters(角色) said, their body language and the expressions(表情) on their faces help me get the meaning. I understood I could get the meaning by listening for just the key words.I found out that listening to something interesting is the secret to the language learning. I alsolearned some useful sentences like “It’s a piece of cake”or “It serves you right. I did not understand these at first. But because I wanted to understand the story, I looked them up in a dictionary. Now I really enjoy my English class. Children need two or three kinds of vegetables every day.A simple way to get children to eat vegetables is eating them ourselves. Following our habit, they may start eating vegetables. Don't say things like, "If you eat your vegetables, you can have desserts(餐后甜食)”. These methods work for a while but can possibly lead them to hate vegetables more. Giving your children new varieties(多样性)will help her or him develop a taste for trying new things.Sometimes the simple things just don't work. We have to start becoming a little creative when it comes to making our children eat these vegetables. By doing this in the beginning when they are small, it will hopefully help them learn to love vegetables.Think of creative ways to make children eat vegetables. For example, cut up vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, and assemble(集合)a creative way on a plate for an afternoon snack. Or try using cheese sauce either by dipping(浸)vegetables or by putting the cheese right on top of the uncooked vegetables. If you prefer, you can also add a teaspoon of sugar on top of cooked green beans and peas to give them a little sweeter taste. Doing this shouldn't lead to a sweet tooth as long as you only give them a small amount. If you have a child that refuses to eat vegetables, some of the advice I've listed will help to turn that around. In the end, you're not just getting them to eat vegetables; you are helping themto live a healthier lifestyle.1. How many kinds of vegetables does a child need every day?(1分)2.
