1Dear Parents, Teachers, and Friends,Hi everyone! My name is Lily and I'm a student here. The teachers asked me to share some thoughts with you all today about the upcoming middle school entrance exams. I know it's a really big deal and we've all been working super hard to get ready.First off, I want to say thanks to all the awesome teachers for everything they've done to help us prepare. You've stayed late after class, given up weekends, and spent so much time making sure we understand all the material. The extra practice tests, the review sessions, the one-on-one tutoring - it's all been so valuable. I feel like I've learned more this year than ever before! And of course, thanks to all of you parents too. You've been so supportive and patient, even when we've had tons of homework and been really stressed out. Thanks for the snacks and encouragement during all those late study nights. Thanks forlistening to us practice English conversations over and over. And thanks for always believing in us.These exams are obviously a huge milestone, but I thinkwe're as ready as we'll ever be. Over the past few months, we've worked on all the key English skills - reading, writing, listening, and speaking. We've gone over sample test questions until we were cross-eyed. We've learned test-taking strategies and time management tricks. Basically, we've crammed our brains about as full as humanly possible! In the reading section, we've practiced understanding all kinds of passages - stories, articles, advertisements, you name it. We've learned to identify main ideas, make inferences, get the meaning of new vocabulary from context. I feel pretty confident that however wonky or obscure the reading passages are, we'll be able to tackle them.As for writing, we've drilled the different essay formats they could throw at us - opinion, expository, narrative. We've worked on clear and logical organization, precise word choice, accurate grammar. We've had tons of practice responding to different writing prompts on every topic imaginable. No matter what kind of crazy essay question they throw at us, we're ready to craft a killer response.Listening has maybe been my biggest struggle, but thanks to all the practice audio we've done in class, I've gotten much better at catching details, understanding inferences, and listening for the key points. And we've also worked hard on speaking - conversing professionally, organizing our ideas, elaborating with rich details, and projecting our voices. So in all the key English areas, we've prepared and prepared and prepared some more. We've taken a zillion practice tests to get used to the format and time pressure. We've gone over test-taking tips like using process of elimination, budgeting our time, and not getting stuck on any one question. The night before the test, I'm going to get plenty of rest, fuel up on a healthy breakfast, and do some light, relaxing review - nothing too intense. During the test itself, I'll stop between sections to stretch, take some deep breaths, and reset my mind. And I'll try to stay positive and confident the whole way through.I know all the other students have been working incredibly hard too. We're all just going to go in with a clear head, give it our absolute best shot, and leave it all on the field. Whatever happens, at least we can say we prepared as much as humanly possible. These entrance exams obviously have really high stakes - they'll determine what middle schools we get into and set us up for success later on. But you know what? Even though they're super important, they're not the be-all and end-all. Our whole future doesn't hinge on this one test. There will be many more academic challenges and open doors along the way.So Parents and Teachers, I'll do my absolute best on this test, but please don't put too much pressure on us kids. We've worked harder than we ever have in our lives, but we're still young. These are incredibly demanding exams, even for adults. So as long as we feel prepared and give it our all, that's what really matters. No matter how we score, you should be proud of us. We've cultivated discipline, time management skills, and an outstanding work ethic throughout this process. Those qualities will take us farther than any single test score. After the exam, we're all going to want to celebrate big time! I'm talking sleeping 'til noon, having a huge video game marathon, and going for allllll the ice cream and pizza. You parents better be ready with some amazing rewards because we'll have earned it!But for now, let's just take it one step at a time. Let's power through these final days of preparation, staying focused but not driving ourselves too crazy. Then we'll conquer the tests with confidence, smarts, and tons of effort. We've got this, everyone! Thanks for all your support!篇2Hello everyone! My name is Lily and I'm a student here at Sunnydale Primary School. Today, I've been asked to share some thoughts from a student's point of view about preparing for the big middle school entrance exam coming up. Let me start by saying - exams can be really scary! The idea of having one huge test that helps decide where you go to school for the next few years is enough to make any kid nervous. But I'm here to tell you that with the right preparation and mindset, this exam is totally manageable.First off, let's talk about the importance of regular studying and practice. I know, I know - studying is basically a kid's worst nightmare! We'd all much rather be playing video games or hanging out with friends. But trust me, putting in consistent effort to review the material little by little is key. My parents have helped me set up a study schedule where I spend an hour or twoeach day reviewing math, English, science and other subjects. We make flashcards, take practice tests, and go over anything I'm struggling with. It's not always fun, but building that habit of regular review makes a huge difference.Another major part of exam preparation is taking care of yourself - getting enough sleep, eating nutritious foods, and taking breaks to avoid burnout. Can you imagine trying to concentrate on a three-hour test after staying up all night cramming? Not a good plan! My parents have been super strict about my bedtime in the weeks leading up to the exam to make sure I'm well-rested. They've also packed my lunchbox with brain foods like fruits, veggies, whole grains and lean protein to keep me fueled and focused throughout the day. And when I need a breather from studying, they make sure I get some fresh air and physical activity. Staying healthy is just as important as the studying itself!Speaking of taking breaks, it's also crucial to find healthy ways to manage the stress and anxiety around such a big exam. I really enjoy reading fantasy novels, so my parents will often tell me to put down the textbooks for a while and get lost in one of my favorite book series as a study break. Practicing relaxation techniques like deep breathing and positive self-talk can behelpful too. Whenever I start feeling overwhelmed, I remind myself that I've worked really hard and that I'm going to do my best - and that's all anyone can ask.In addition to all the preparation at home, I've been so grateful for the incredible teachers and resources here at our school to help us get ready. The practice materials they've provided have been invaluable. And knowing my teachers are committed to helping every student build a strong foundation across all the subjects has given me so much more confidence heading into this exam season. Finally, I think one of the biggest things that has helped me stay motivated is keeping the bigger picture in mind. Yes, this exam is really important. But it's just one step in my academic journey, not the ultimate defining factor. There will be many more exams, projects and challenges as I move through middle school, high school and beyond. So while I definitely want to work hard and do my best, I've been reminding myself not to obsess over this one test. Keeping that perspective has really taken a weight off my shoulders. So those are some of my thoughts as a student getting ready for this big milestone. To all my fellow kids out there - you've got this! Study hard, take care of yourselves, andremember that you're so much more than just a test score. We're all rooting for you! Thank you!篇3Dear Parents,Hi everyone! I'm so excited to talk to you all today about the big middle school entrance exams coming up. I know you're probably feeling a mix of emotions - nervous, proud, maybe a little stressed out. But don't worry, we're all in this together!First off, let me start by saying how amazing your kids are. I've had the pleasure of teaching them English for the last few years, and let me tell you, they are some of the brightest, most hard-working students I've ever met. The effort they've put into learning a whole new language is truly inspiring. Now, I know English can seem like a really tricky subject sometimes. With all the grammar rules, weird spellings, and funny idioms, it's no wonder some of you parents still struggle with it yourselves! But your kids have been total champs at picking it up. From the very basics like the alphabet and numbers, all the way to reading stories and writing compositions, they've tackled every challenge I've thrown their way.And let's not forget about all the fun we've had along the way! Who could forget that time we did an English drama about a talking dog? Or when we played that epic game of English Pictionary? Your kids make learning English an absolute blast.Which brings me to the middle school exams. I know this is a really big deal, and there's a lot of pressure to do well. But you know what? Your kids have got this. All that hard work they've put in over the years is really going to pay off.The English section will cover all the key areas we've studied - reading comprehension, grammar, writing, and more. But don't worry, we've gone over tons of practice questions and strategies to get them ready. Just remember to get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, and don't stress too much!No matter what happens on exam day, I already know your kids are total superstars. Seeing how far they've come with English has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my teaching career. From those first few letters and simple words, to now being able to read entire books and hold conversations - wow, just wow.So to all you parents out there, trust in your amazing children. They've got the skills, they've got the determination, and they've got a rad English teacher in their corner (that's me!). These exams don't stand a chance against their awesomeness.Just think, in a few months, they'll be starting that exciting new chapter called middle school. They're going to keep rocking English class and any other subjects that come their way. I have no doubt they'll continue making all of us proud.Thank you so much for your time today, and for supporting your kids every step of the way on this incredible journey of learning English. You're the real MVPs. Let's give our students one more huge round of applause, and get them over that middle school finish line in style!篇4Dear Parents,Hi everyone! My name is Lily and I'm in 9th grade getting ready for my middle school exams. My English teacher, Ms. Johnson, asked me to share some thoughts with you all from a student's point of view. She thought it might be helpful for you to hear directly from one of us kids about how we're feeling and what we need from you during this stressful time.First off, I want to say that we know how important these exams are. We've had years of build-up talking about how much weight they carry for getting into a good high school. The pressure is on! At the same time, I think a lot of us are nervously excited. After all this preparation, we'll finally get to show what we can do.That said, the next few weeks are going to be really tough for your children. Our workload has already increased a ton as we cram in all the last topics before the tests. On top of our regular classes, we have extra review sessions, practice exams, and tutoring. It's exhausting! I've personally been staying up way too late studying most nights. What we need from you parents is understanding, support, and maybe piccalilli forbearance. This is an incredibly stressful period in our young lives. We're going to be moody, frazzled, and burnt out at times. Please try to be patient with us.At the same time, we need you to keep us on track. It's so easy to get overwhelmed, procrastinate, and let our typical routines and habits slide. Make sure we're still getting enough sleep, eating decently, and taking little breaks. Maybe even force us to go for a walk or play outside for half an hour - physical activity is shown to reduce anxiety and improve focus.Personally, I thrive with a fairly rigid schedule during crunch times like this. My parents have been great about sitting down with me to plan outmy days, breaking my workload into manageable chunks. Checking in on my progress and keeping me accountable is really helpful. It's also important that you watch our self-talk. When we get frustrated and start saying negative things like "I'm terrible at English" or "I'm never going to get into a good school", remind us to reframe our thinking more positively and not catastrophize. Confidence is key! Some of us might seem to be handling the stress better on the outside, but we're likely just as anxious inside. Don't assume everything is fine just because we're not expressing our worries. Check in with us regularly about how we're feeling. Get us to open up.And finally, please resist the urge to add even more pressure! We already have enough weighing on us. Frequent pep talks about the stakes involved and how hard you had to work at our age can make us feel even more burdened. What we need most from you is reassurance that you're proud of us for how diligently we've been preparing, and that you'll still love us regardless of the outcome.I'll leave you with one of my favorite mantras during exam season: "I've prepared as well as I can - now I just need to trust myself." Having your unconditional support and confidence in us will mean the world.Thank you all for your time today and for your ongoing encouragement. We students really do appreciate everything you're doing to help us through this! I'll hand it back over to Ms. Johnson now.篇5Hello, parents and guardians!I'm so excited to see all of you here today. My name is [Your Name], and I am the English teacher for the 9th grade students. As we all know, our children are about to face a very important milestone in their academic journey – the Junior High School Entrance Exam. Today, I want to take this opportunity to talk to you about how we can support our children in their English studies and help them prepare for this crucial exam.Firstly, let us remember that learning a new language is a gradual process. It requires consistent effort and practice. Encourage your children to develop a daily study routine for English. This could include activities such as reading Englishbooks, listening to English songs, or watching English movies. By exposing them to the language regularly, they will improve their vocabulary, grammar, and overall language skills.Secondly, make learning English fun and interactive. Engage your children in conversations in English at home. Encourage them to share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences in English. Help them find English-speaking pen pals or language exchange partners, which will not only enhance their language abilities but also broaden their cultural understanding.Furthermore, technology can be a great tool for learning English. There are numerous educational apps, websites, and online resources available that offer interactive lessons and exercises. Encourage your children to explore these platforms and make learning English a digital adventure. In addition to self-study, continuous classroom support is crucial. Stay in touch with your child's English teacher. Attend parent-teacher meetings, ask about your child's progress, and discuss strategies for improvement. Regular communication with the teacher will ensure that you are aware of your child's strengths and weaknesses in English and can provide the necessary guidance and support at home.Lastly, let's remember to motivate our children and boost their confidence. Encourage them to set achievable goals and celebrate their accomplishments. Praise their efforts and offer words of encouragement. Confidence plays a vital role in language learning, and our children need to believe in themselves. In conclusion, by creating a supportive English learning environment at home, utilizing technology, maintaining communication with teachers, and nurturing our children's confidence, we can help them excel in English and perform well in the upcoming Junior High School Entrance Exam.Thank you for your attention and dedication to your child's education. Together, we can empower our children to achieve success in their English studies and beyond.Best regards,[Your Name]篇6Dear Parents,Hi everyone! I'm really excited to share some thoughts with you all today about the big exams coming up. I know this is asuper important time for us students. We've been working so hard to get ready, and I wanted to give you a little peek into what it feels like from a kid's point of view.First off, I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you parents and teachers for all the support and encouragement you've given us. This exam prep journey has definitely been challenging at times, but knowing you all have our backs has made a massive difference. All the extra help with studying, the pep talks when we're feeling stressed, and the little treats and rewards to keep us motivated - it really means the world.I remember back when we started preparing for these exams what feels like forever ago. We were just little kids, not really knowing what to expect. But over time, thanks to the guidance of our awesome teachers, we've become tiny exam warriors! Well, maybe not so tiny anymore - I swear I've grown about a foot from all the long hours hunched over books and practice tests.Speaking of practice tests, man oh man, I don't think any of us want to see another one of those things once these exams are over! All those questions on English grammar, reading comprehension, writing skills - my brain is spinning just thinking about it. But I know all that practice has helped get us in tip-topshape. Shoutout to Mr. Li for making those concepts finally click during his after-school sessions. The English component is just one part of the exams, but it's a big focus for a lot of us. We all know how crucial English skills are not just for the tests, but for our futures. The world is getting smaller and being bilingual opens up so many opportunities. Our teachers have really driven that point home.I'll never forgetsome of their inspiring words about learning English. Mrs. Wang telling us "The English language is the tiny key that unlocks a giant world." Or Mr. Zhang's amusing analogy that "Studying English is like lifting small weights - exhausting at first, but soon enough you'll be fluently flexing those language muscles!" Those metaphors really stuck with me.The writing section is probably my biggest challenge. Organizing my thoughts into a coherent essay in a second language? Not easy! But I know expressing myself clearly is such a valuable skill. I've gotten so much amazing writing advice from my teachers. Like the importance of having a clear thesis statement and supporting points. Or unlocking more advanced vocabulary to make my words really sing. I still have tons of room to improve, but I feel like my writing ability has already grown leaps and bounds.Speaking of leaps and bounds, one of the coolest parts about prepping for these exams is all the engaging ways we've practiced our English speaking and listening skills. From small group conversations to fun games to watching movies and TV shows. My friends and I have definitely leveled up our slang and idioms! "That's lit!" "I'm dead!" "It slaps!"Our teachers have been so patient with us, guiding us while still letting our unique voices shine through. One of my favorite activities was recording ourselves having mock interviews or debates on challenging topics. It was scary at first, but so rewarding to push past the nerves and gain that real-world experience. At the end of the day, I know all this preparation - as exhausting as it's been at times - is an invaluable investment in our futures. The skills we've worked so hard to build, especially in English, will keep paying dividends our whole lives. Maybe some of us will forge careers as global businesspeople, traveling the world speaking flawless English. Or writers crafting beautiful stories that transcend cultures. Ormaybe we'll become brave explorers, making groundbreaking discoveries in the field and documenting them in perfect prose. Anything's possible! Before I wrap up, I wanted to give one more shoutout to the true MVPs: our parents. You all have been the driving force behind our exam journeys. Your unwavering support, high expectations, and willingness to go the extra mile - we couldn't have made it this far without you. We know how many sacrifices you've made, how hard you've worked to give us these opportunities. Just know that it hasn't gone unnoticed or unappreciated, not even for a second.Well, I could probably ramble on all day, but I'll quit while I'm ahead! Just know that us students are feeling prepared, confident, and so grateful for this huge village that's had our backs every step of the way. The exams are going to be a challenge, for sure, but a challenge we're utterly ready to face head on. Let's get it!Thank you all again, and wish us luck!。
