常考的固定句型

(1)hardly…. when

Hardly had we got home when the rain poured down.

(2)no sooner….than

No sooner had we heard the news than we jumped with excitement.

(3)hope/expect/mean/intend/want/suppose等的过去完成时表示

Eg. I had meant to help you, but I was too busy at that moment.

(4) was/were doing… when…
