张家港市，隶属于江苏省苏州市，位于中国大陆东部，长江下 游南岸，东南与常熟相连，南与苏州、无锡相邻，西与江阴接壤， 北滨长江，与如皋、靖江隔江相望，总面积986.73平方千米，其中 陆域面积777平方千米，水域面积195.67平方千米。

特色·长江三鲜
鲥鱼、刀鱼、河豚并誉为“长江三鲜”。《本草纲目》载，鲥鱼 “夏初时有，余月则无，故名”。鲥鱼鳞可食，肥嫩清鲜。古时曾列 为皇帝的“御膳”珍肴，后蜚声海外。张家港境内长江水域属河口段， 鲥鱼至此，体内脂肪消耗少，丰腴肥硕，肉味鲜，营养丰富。刀鱼 体形狭长侧薄，颇似尖刀，银白色，肉质细嫩，但多细毛状骨刺。 肉味鲜美，肥而不腻，兼有微香。河豚产于咸水和淡水相交处的水 域里，营养丰富，腴肥鲜美且带野味，与众不同。宋《明道杂志》 曾称颂它为“水族中之奇味也”。
