Unit 2 I think that mooncakes are delicious!
The Second Period
Section A 3a
This time my topic is Full Moon,FullFeelings in unit 2 I think that mooncakes are delicious! The content of this class is the part of 3a in Section A. My presentation includes 5 parts.That is : part 1:the analysis of the teaching material. Part 2: the analysis of students. Part 3: teaching methods and learning strategies. Part 4: teaching design and design ideas. Part 5: teaching procedures.
Now,I will talk about part 1: the analysis of the teaching material.
First,the function of the teaching material
The content of this class is the part of 3a in Section A in Unit 2. For this unit, the language goal is to talk about the festival around the world. The topic of this unit is close to our life, and students are familiar with them.Therefore, students are interested in learning. The content of this class is one of festivals—Mid-Autumn Festival. Hence,this class will present new language goal, and training students’ reading ability.
Second, teaching objectives

a. Master the key words
folk , goddess, steal, lay, lay out, dessert, garden, admire,
tradition
b. Learn something about Mid-Autumn Festival.
c. Improve students’ reading and comprehension skills
Process and Methods
a. Learn by reading a passage about Mid-Autumn Festival.
b. Autonomous and cooperative approach.
Emotion Aims
Lead students to learn about Chinese culture and treasure the time with family members..

Third, teaching important points
a. Master the new words and target language.
b. Learn something about Mid-Autumn Festival.
c. Improving students’ reading and compresenhive skills.
Fourth, teaching difficult points
a. Master the new words and target language.
b. Improving students’ reading and compresenhive skills.
Next is part 2: the analysis of students.
Students learn to talk about the festivlas. And they will know much about the culture of different festivals in different countries. All of them will be interested in this part, because the topic is related to our real life. And after studying, they will make great progress in reading, speaking and writing.
Then, part 3: teaching methods and learning strategies
For the teaching methods,this class will use The multimedia method and cooperative approach. The teacher will give students some time to read the passage individually and finish the task in pairs. Their reading ability will be improved by group work.
For the learning strategies, teacher will provide more group works during the class. And let the students take actively part in these activities autonomously, because activities are the best way for students to grasp the target language.
