She lives in shelter, sleeps in the subway, and never has a decent home. Sometimes, she also plays adult role to take care of her parents and sister. She also tears sitting in front of the sickbed mother. People around her are unhappy. She lived in a world without hope and dream .

On the day of interview, she doesn’t even have one decent clothes, so she wears rags borrowed from her friend. At last, she gets the bonus. On the addressing day, she says her life would be changed. Liz Murray is one of the most poor and most courageous Harvard girl.
