I didn't do well in anything at school. I was always scared for anything wrong I might say, not knowing what to do. My classmates often made fun of me. Most teachers didn't expect too much of me. I was not 11 in the eyes of every other person in school.
I still 12 this clearly—my class teacher promoted me in the seventh grade and told my parents seriously that I would 13 have a hard time in the eighth grade. At that moment, I saw tears in my mother's eyes, and I felt so sorry and hopeless. I 14 myself that I would never let her down.
Then I studied really hard. Finally when the results came out, my class teacher asked me to stand in front of the class. I was really scared. I even didn't know if I 15 the exam.
Then she called my name and read out my grade. "Ajinkya Soitkar—61%. Please clap for him, everyone!" Hearing that, I had tears in my eyes! I was 16 and nervous at the same time. My hands were all wet and my body couldn't help shaking. For the first time, someone clapped for me and said "Congratulations!" I could never forget that 17 . And then I came home and told mom about my grade. She had tears of happiness! 18 my class teacher, this would be impossible. I just wanted to thank her for bringing back my 19 and changing the idea of others.
