三、策划革命对无法容忍民主决策过程的单调沉闷的运作方式，或者相信只有武力才能改变基本制度的人来说，这一策略总是很受欢迎。
它吸引着每一代青年人中较为积极，较具理想主义的人。

最令人不安的是我们发现的人口爆炸问题。
我们突然间明白了在我们所居住的尤如一艘小小的宇宙飞船的星球上，乘客数目大约每四十年翻一番。
只要地球上的人口不停地以这种似癌细胞增长的速度增加，那么其它一切问题便根本无法解决。
我们的城市将继续变得更加拥挤喧嚣，景色将变得更加混乱，空气和水变得更脏。
对每个人来说，生活质量都可能会持续恶化。
而如果过多的人不得不为不断减少的食物份额与生存空间进行斗争的话，那么战争的升级看来是不可避免的。
因此吉姆·宾斯这一代人肩负着极其艰巨的任务，但我认为这并不是无法完成的任务。
过去的事实证明，可以用以前对付困难问题的同样方法来处理这个问题——通过许多人的不懈努力，一点一点地，注重实效地加以解决。
