有不少老师一直在询问实施新课程、使用新教材的时间,回复如下:根据此前《教育部关于做好普通高中新课程新教材实施工作的指导意见(征求意见稿)》,从2019年秋季学期起,全国各省(区、市)分步实施新课程、使用新教材。
根据此前公布的征求意见,各省启动时间如下:
修订后的教材框架与内容
根据《课标》的要求,全套教材按照必修、选择性必修、选修(提高类)三类课程展开修订。
其中,必修课程共3册,选择性必修课程共4册,选修(提高类)课程共3册。
每册教材基本指向二分之一学期的学习内容,即每个学期学习2册教材,各地区亦可根据学生需要作必要的时间调整(见下表)。

高中英语课程由三类课程构成,共10册书,1—7册的基本结构框架如下图1所示。

1—7册教材的开篇都是关于学会学习的指导,通过视频和活动设计帮助学生为学习本册书作好准备。
具体内容有:(1)A New Start for English 探讨学习英语的有效方法;(2)Improve Your Pronunciation 讨论如何改进英语发音;(3)Public Speaking 探讨如何提高演讲能力;(4)Text Types 讨论各种文体语篇的交际目的、结构特征和语言特点;(5)Critical Thinking 讨论什么是批判性思维以及如何培养;(6)Five Tips to Improve Your Writing 给出提升写作能力的五个提示;(7)Plagiarism 讨论什么是抄袭及如何防止抄袭。

修订后的教材特色
1 突出主题和语篇的思想性,帮助学生形成正确的人生观和价值观,落实学科育人的要求
本次教材修订特别关注主题和语篇的选择,关注语言学习中语言与认知、语言与文化、语言与思维的平衡发展,努力帮助学生基于主题和语篇,学习和建构新知识。
因此,语篇的功能不再只是呈现词汇和语法,而是基于语篇,从人文和科学知识的角度促进学生的语言能力、文化意识和思维品质的全面发展。
换句话说,语篇不再只是浅层次的语言和意义的传递,而是推动学生在语言学习中丰富人文和科学知识,促进认知和思维发展,培养鉴赏真、善、美的能力。
例如,修订教材所选语篇Race to the Pole通过讲述两支南极探险队的故事,引导学生比较和分析导致两支队伍成败的因素,体会为理想而努力拼搏的精神,思考面对不可抗拒的巨大困难时应该如何应对的现实问题。
2 整体设计单元,实现语言、思维与文化一体化设计,推动深度学习
本次教材修订采用单元整体设计的理念和主题引领的思路,注重围绕单元主题整体设计单元教学。
力求通过教学活动设计,引领教师教学方式的变革和学生学习方式的优化,推动课程内容呈现的结构化和情境化,提高教与学的效率。
各单元的学习活动都围绕主题语境展开,学生从单元话题的预热到多种语篇类型的学习过程中,不断深化对主题的认知,并基于对每一个语篇的深入学习,发展语言能力,不断建构新的、基于该主题的知识结构,通过读、听、看等方式,多渠道地
输入主题知识,展开主题探究,发展语言技能和学习策略,将不完整、不系统的主题知识和概念逐步整合为体现较强逻辑思维的新的知识结构,并通过融合其中的说和写等活动,实现内化,建立关联,形成相对流畅、完整的语言表达,从而提出有逻辑和批判创新意识的观点看法。
具体到每个语篇的教学,其活动设计都从创设主题语境展开,从主题入手,激活学生已知,带入学生个人的经验,铺垫必要的语言,接着进入获取与探究新知识的过程,通过获取、梳理、加工、整合,帮助学生形成结构化知识并进行内化,将知识转化为能力。
在迁移创新层面,学生深入分析文本结构和意义内涵,表达个人观点或提出解决问题的新方法,通过一系列融语言、思维、文化为一体的学习活动,落实育人目标,培养核心素养。
特别是在将对语言知识的学习自然地融入到对语篇意义的探究和解决问题的过程中,使学生学习和运用语言知识来理解和表达意义,将词汇和语法的学习很好地渗透到从学习理解到应用实践,再到迁移创新的活动中,引导学生在已有的知识框架的基础上构建未知,不断完善知识体系,实现从表层学习向深度学习过渡。
3 体现开放的教材设计理念,重视培养学生的自主学习能力
修订教材突出体现开放的理念,包含了多种弹性内容和自主学习资源,例如:教材各个单元都围绕主题补充了两篇泛读材料,每册书后面都有一篇可供欣赏性阅读的文学作品,并且提供了课文注释、听力文本材料、语法笔记等板块,鼓励学生根据需要选择使用,锻炼和提升学生的自主学习能力。
在每个单元的教学活动设计上,教材也给教师和学生安排了很多开放性空间,力求将学习过程还给学生,通过诸多促进和发展学生学习策略的温馨提示和指导,如Word Builder、Sentence Builder、Skill Builder、Writing Summary、Peer Editing Sheet、Unit Diary、Project 等,为学生开展自主、合作和探究式的学习创造条件并搭建平台。
在整个学习过程中,学生不再是被动的参与者,而是主动思考与学习的主体。
4 凸显选材的多样性和丰富性,确保语言真实和鲜活
修订教材在语篇题材的选择上涵盖了《课标》中的各个话题;在体裁的选择上体现了多样化,能够满足学生日常使用英语的需求,并为未来的学习奠定基础。
在中外文化比例上,修订教材重视中西方文化的平衡,使学生既能发展对世界文化的包容态度,也能发展爱国情怀、祖国意识和民族文化自豪感。
在语篇的选择上,多数语篇或选自原版材料,或由国外作者根据《课标》的要求进行改写或创作。
围绕中国话题的语篇主要由中方编写团队提供素材或初稿,再由外方作者对语言进行润色和优化,以保持语言的真实性和鲜活性。
5 体现教材对教学的指导性,突出可操作性
此次修订使教材编写组充分认识到,只有教材好用、实用,才能提供培养学生学科核心素养的抓手,便于教师在课堂中落实。
教材正是将《课标》的理念转化为可操作的课堂实践的桥梁。
因此,遵循语言学习的规律,从学生认知的发展需求出发,基于《课标》的理念和要求,教材修订组加大针对教材使用的指导性设计,突出活动设计的可操作性,力求使教师能够借助教材,有效实施指向学科核心素养的英语学习活动观,把核心素养目标落实到教学过程中。
6 立足民族文化传承,用英语讲好中国故事
在整套教材的设计中,中国文化的体现是教材修订组始终关注的重点。
力求精选、精编体现中华优秀文化的内容,如传统节日、文学艺术、良好社会风气、科技发展、国际形象和影响力等,并将这些内容有机融入教材,反映中国文化的博大精深和国家在中华民族伟大复兴之路上取得的成就。
学生学习英语不仅是为了了解西方文化,更重要的是传播和传承中国文化,用英语讲好中国故事。
这也是我们通过英语学科实现立德树人的重要手段。
