Topic2 教材知识详解1.What else can you do? 你还会做什么呢?else adv. 意为“别的,其他的〞,常用在疑问代词who, what ...,疑问副词how, when, why, where...和不定代词somebody, anything...之后,作后置定语或状语。
else与anybody, everybody等连用,表示“他人的〞时应用anybody else’s/ somebody else’s。
如:Where else did you go? 你还去哪儿了?He took somebody else’s hat.他拿了别人的帽子。
other意为“别的,另外的〞,只能用于名词前作定语。
如:Are there any other questions? 还有其他问题吗?2.将会在聚会上玩得很快乐。
sure意为“深信的,确信的,对……有把握〞,主语必须是人。
构造为:be sure of/about sth. /doing sth./ be sure + (that)从句。
如:I’m sure about his honesty.我对他的老实深信不疑。
He is sure of winning the match.他深信能贏得这场比赛。
I’m sure (that) I am right.我肯定我是对的。
sure也可以表示“一定,务必,必定〞,常用构造为be sure to do sth.。
如:部电影。
It’s sure to rain.肯定会下雨。
have a good time意为“玩得开心〞,这是一个固定短语,其意思等同于have a great/nice/wonderful time,此外enjoy oneself也可以表示“玩得开心,过得愉快〞,在用法上可以彼此互换。
