The Impact of Technology on Daily Life in Guangdong Province: A Perspective from2018In the fast-paced world of the 21st century, the role of technology in our daily lives has become increasingly significant. This is particularly evident in Guangdong province, a region that has seen rapid economic growth and technological advancements in recent years. The integration of technology into every facet of life in Guangdong, particularly in the context of the 2018 Guangdong Intercalated Bachelor's Degree Examination, provides a unique perspective on the impact of technology on education and society at large. The exam, known as the "Guangdong Chaoben," is a significant milestone for many students seeking to further their education. Traditionally, this exam has been a rigorous test of academic knowledge and skills, requiring students to demonstrate their proficiency in various subjects. However, in recent years, the exam has been transformed by the influx of technology, particularly inthe areas of testing delivery, assessment methods, and educational resources. One of the most显著的变化in the Guangdong Chaoben has been the increasing use of online testing platforms. These platforms allow students to take the exam remotely, eliminating the need for physical testing centers. This innovation not only saves time and resources but also expands access to the exam, making it more convenient for students living in remote areas or with limited mobility. The integration of online testing has also led to the development of more sophisticated assessment methods, such as automated scoring and real-time feedback systems, which provide immediate and accurate feedback to students, enabling them to identify their strengths and weaknesses and adjust their study strategies accordingly.Beyond testing delivery, technology has also had a profound impact on educational resources in Guangdong. The advent of the internet and digital technologies has made a wealth of educational materials and resources accessible to students at their fingertips. Online libraries, e-books, interactive lesson plans, and online courses havetransformed the way students learn, enabling them to access information and knowledge from anywhere at any time. This has not only expanded the scope and depth of educational opportunities but has also fostered a culture of continuous learning and life-long education. The integration of technology into the Guangdong Chaoben and the broader educational system in Guangdong province is not without its challenges, however. Thedigital divide, the gap between those who have access to technology and those who do not, remains a significant issue. Furthermore, the reliability and security of online testing platforms and educational resources must be constantly monitored and updated to ensure their integrity and authenticity.Despite these challenges, the integration of technology into education in Guangdong province represents a positive step forward in enhancing access to education, improving assessment methods, and expanding educational resources. As we look to the future, it is clear that technology will continue to play a crucial role in shaping the educational landscape in Guangdong and beyond.**科技对广东省日常生活的影响:2018年的视角**在21世纪这个快节奏的世界中,科技在我们日常生活中的作用越来越重要。

Choose the best and mark the corresponding letter on the Answer Sheet. Passage 1If you are going to be a straight talker, you have to believe that it’s a virtue, and that it’s an quality you want to have.If you have an opinion and you just state it, it allows the other person to either try to challenge your opinion, to agree with you, or to disagree — they have an action they can take. If you are quiet, people think you agree. How can you then further the conversation when you are at different points and it’s no t really exposed? Agreeing is easy. Disagreeing takes more guts.Several years back, when I was CEO at a company; there was a very senior woman who was very smart and well spoken, but she did not wear appropriate clothes. It was distracting and she was not being taken seriously. I said to her manager, who was male, “you need to tell her.” he said, “oh, no way.”So I called her in and directly stated what I thought was happening, “you’re not getting the respect you deserve,” I said, “go to the store and get a personal shopper. Just say, ‘I am a senior businessperson and need help dressing formally.’” She came back, and she was completely a different person. She said she felt really good. And currency went way up.Early in my business career, if people asked m e a question, I’d try to answer it honestly. And it was rewarded. I had managers who wanted me around because I would actually tell them what was happening.I was raised by my grandma, and she was a pretty straight talker because she thought you would handle it. My advice is to be realistic. Being honest and truthful is part of being a good worker, a good associate, and a good leader.31. The woman did not get promoted because she did not .A. dress appropriatelyB. take her work seriouslyC. get on well with her colleaguesD. follow her manager’s instructions32. The underlined phrase “takes more guts” in Paragraph 2 refers to .A. demand more wisdomB. attract more attentionC. take more courageD. need more communication33. According to the writer, talking in a straight way allows one to .A. become an opinion leaderB. make friends easilyC. become a respectable personD. take further action34. From the last paragraph, it can be inferred that the writer tends to talk frankly possibly due to the influence of .A. his workmatesB. his leadersC. his friendsD. his family35. Which of the following might be the best title of the passage?A. Straight talkersB. Different opinionsC. Agree or DisagreeD. Importance of speechPassage 2A punctual person is in the habit of doing a thing at the proper time and is never late in keeping an appointment. The unpunctual man, on the contrary, never does what he has to do at the proper time. He is always in a hurry and in the end loses both time and his good name. A lost thing may be found again, but the lost time can never be regained. Time is more valuable than material things. In fact, time is life itself. The unpunctual man is forever wasting and mismanaging his most valuable asset (财产)as well as other's. The unpunctual person is always complaining that he finds no time to answer letters, return calls or keep appointments promptly. But the man who really has a great deal to do is very careful of his time and seldom complains of want of it. He knows that he can not get through his huge amount of work unless he faithfully keeps every piece of work when it has to be attended to.Failure to be punctual in keeping one’s appointments is the sign of disrespect towards others. If a person is invited to dinner and arrives later than the appointed time, he keeps all the other guests waiting for him. Usually this will be regarded as a great disrespect to the host and all other guests present.Unpunctuality, moreover, is very harmful when it comes to do one’s duty, whether public or private. Imagine how it would be if those who are put in charge of important tasks failed to be their proper place at the appointed time. A man who is known to be habitually unpunctual is never trusted by his friends or fellow men.36. The main difference between a punctual person and an unpunctual person is that a punctual person .A. has lots of appointments while an unpunctual one has few appointmentsB. does everything at the right time while an unpunctual one seldom does soC. has much time to do everything while an unpunctual one has little time to do anythingD. does everything ahead of time while an unpunctual one does everything behind schedule37. What is the main reason why a person is always unpunctual according to the passage?A. He doesn’t care much about time.B. He is much busier than other people.C. He is always in a hurry when he works.D. He always mismanages and wastes his time.38. The third paragraph is developed by giving .A. a factB. an opinionC. an exampleD. an evidence39. It can be inferred from the last paragraph that .A. an unpunctual person usually loses his friendsB. an unpunctual person often fails doing any important taskC. unpunctuality may result in fewer appointments and opportunitiesD. unpunctuality may lead to heavy losses for both public and private affairs40. What does the passage mainly talk about?A. Valuable timeB. Popular appointmentC. Harm of unpunctualityD. Advantage of punctualityPassage 3Once upon a time, two brothers, Jack and Tom, who lived on neighboring farms, fell into conflict. For the past 20 years, they had been on good terms farming side by side, sharing machinery, and trading labor and goods as needed. The dispute began with a small misunderstanding and grew into a major difference, and finally exploded into an exchange of bitter words followed by weeks of silence. One morning there was a knock on Jack’s door. It was a carpenter looking for a few days’ work. Jack offered him a job saying, “Look across the steam at that farm. That’s my n eighbor, in fact, it’s my younger brother. There used to be a meadow between us. Last week he pulled down the dam on the small river and now there is a stream instead. Well, he may have done this to offend me, but I’ll do him one better.”“See that pile of lumber (木材) by the house? I want you to build me a fence — an 8-foot fence.” The carpenter said, “I think I understood the situation. Show me the nails and the post-hole digger (打桩机) and I’ll be able to do a job that please you.”Jack had to go into town, so he helped the carpenter get the material ready and then he was off for the day. The carpenter worked hard all that day measuring, sawing and nailing. About sunset when Jack returned, the carpenter had just finished his job.Jack’s eyes opened wide, his jaw dropped. There was no fence there at all. It was a bridge — a bridge stretching from one side of the stream to the other! A fine piece of work! His younger brother was coming toward them with hands outstretched. “You are quite a fellow to build this b ridge after all I’ve said and done.” The two brothers stood at each end of the bridge, and then they met in the middle, taking each other’s hand. They turned to see the carpenter lift his toolbox onto his shoulder. “No, wait! Stay a few days, I have a lot of other projects for you.” Said Jack, “I’d love to stay on.” The carpenter said, “ but I have many more bridges to build.”41. In the past 20 years, Jack and Tom kept their relationship .A. seriousB. tenseC. distantD. close42. Jack decided to build a fence to .A. protect himselfB. fight backC. please TomD. give in43. What does underlined expression “quite a fellow” mean in paragraph 5?A. A powerful manB. A rich manC. A generous manD. A capable man44. The carpenter built the bridge instead of a fence to help Jack and Tom .A. meet each otherB. store the lumberC. regain brotherly affectionD. renew their business45. What can we learn from the passage?A. Better make friends than make enemies.B. A good friend brings a far land near.C. Family ties are close than social relations.D. A tooth for a tooth.Passage 4Batteries can power anything from small sensors to large systems. While scientists are finding ways to make them smaller but even more powerful, problems can arise when these batteries are much larger and heavier than the devices themselves. The researchers at university of Missouri (MU) are developing a nuclear energy source that is smaller, lighter and more efficient.“To provide enough power, we need certain methods with high energy density (密度) ,” said Jae kwon, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at MU. “The rad ioisotope (放射性同位素) battery can provide power density that is much higher than chemical batteries.”Kwon and his research team have been working on building a small nuclear battery, presently the size and thickness of a penny, intended to power various systems. Although nuclear batteries can cause concerns, Kwon said they are safe.“People hear the word ‘nuclear’ and think of something very dangerous.” he said. “however nuclear power sources have already been safely powering a variety of devices, such as pace-makers, space satellites and underwater systems.”His new idea is not only in the battery’s size, but also in its semiconductor. Kwon’s battery uses a liquid semiconductor rather than a solid semiconductor.“The key part of using a radioactive batter y is that when you harvest the energy, part of the radiation energy can damage the lattice structure(晶体结构)of the solid semiconductor,” KwonTogether with J.David Robertson, chemistry professor and associate director of the MU Research Reactor, Kwon is working to build and test the battery. In the future, they hope to increase the battery’s power, shrink its size and try with various other materials. Kwon said their battery could be thinner than the thickness of human hair.46. The passage gets started by .A. an introductionB. an exampleC. a questionD. a conclusion47. What do you know about Jae Kwon?A. He is teaching chemistry at MU.B. He developed a chemical battery.C. 专插本英语作文2018年广东省真题范文

专插本英语作文2018年广东省真题范文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My English Exam AdventureWow, I can't believe the big "Zhuanqianben" English exam is finally over! It was super intense but I tried my best. Let me tell you all about my crazy exam day experience. It started bright and early Saturday morning. My mom woke me up at 6am which is sooo early for a Saturday! But she said I needed extra time to get ready for the important test. I groggily got out of bed, put on my lucky yellow shirt, and had a big breakfast to energize my brain. Then it was time to head to school for the exam. The halls were packed with hundreds of nervous students. I saw my best friend Lihua and we wished each other good luck. My palms were getting sweaty just thinking about that huge test booklet waiting for me.Finally, they called us into the exam room. Row after row of desks filled the giant space. I tried to find a desk near the back soI could sneak a glimpse out the window during breaks. The nice proctor lady showed us to our seats and explained the rules. No talking, no cheating, stay in your seat. I nodded my head solemnly to show I understood. And then it began! The proctor said "You may begin the listening section" and everything grew silent except the voices on the audio track. I scrambled to fill in the bubbles based on what I heard. Halfway through, my arm started cramping from filling in so many bubbles. I couldn't wait for that section to end!Next up was the reading section which was pretty tough. There were so many big words I didn't recognize. I had to read each passage super slowly and carefully. By the time I got to the last reading, my eyes were crossing from staring at the booklet for so long.We got a short break finally to rest our brains. I walked around the room and stretched my legs. Lihua looked just as worn out as I felt. We didn't get to talk much before they made us return to our seats. The writing section was up next which was kind of fun. I enjoy making up fun stories using my imagination. I wrote about going on an awesome adventure with a friendly dragon. I got touse lots of descriptive words which my English teacher says is good writing. Finally, we started the speaking section which wasnerve-wracking. One by one, the proctor called students to the front to speak into a microphone. When it was my turn, my throat went dry and my mind blanked for a second. But then I took a deep breath and did my best to answer the questions clearly. After what felt like an eternity, the proctor finally called "Time!" We had made it through the entire marathon of an English exam! My hand was cramped, my brain was fried, but I felt accomplished for giving it my all.On the way home, mom took me out for my favorite dumplings to celebrate being done. I chowed down and told her all about the different sections between bites. She gave me a big hug when I finished and said she was proud of me no matter what my score ended up being.A few weeks later, the scores finally came out. I didn't get a perfect score, but I passed with a pretty good mark! All that hard work and brain-busting had paid off. I was overjoyed about my achievement and couldn't wait to show Lihua my score.Looking back, taking the big "Zhuanqianben" exam was an unforgettable experience. It pushed me to my limits but showed me what I'm capable of. I feel more prepared than ever to continue learning English. Who knows, maybe next year's exam will seem like a breeze after this epic challenge! I've got this!篇2My Big Dream to Become an English TeacherHi there! My name is Little Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my huge dream for the future. Are you ready? My biggest dream is to become an amazing English teacher when I grow up!You might be thinking "English teacher? That's kind of a boring job!" But let me explain why I think it would be the coolest job ever.First of all, I absolutely love the English language. It just sounds so fun and magical to me. Words like "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" and "fickle" and "serendipity" make me giggle every time. Chinese is my mother tongue, but English is like this awesome secret code that I get to learn.I started learning English when I was just a tiny kid in kindergarten. My teacher Miss Li was so great at making the lessons entertaining with her singing, acting, and games. Slowly but surely, I picked up more and more vocabulary and grammar. Before I knew it, I could construct simple sentences and have basic conversations. It felt like cracking a secret code! Now that I'm in elementary school, English is one of my favorite subjects. I pay extra close attention whenever my English teacher writes on the blackboard or speaks. During our exercises, I race to be the first one to shout out the right answer. At home, I subscribe to some English learning apps and YouTube channels to practice listening and pick up new words. My parents are so proud of my English abilities. The thing I love most about English is how it connects me to amazing books, movies, TV shows, video games and more from the West. My favorite book series is Harry Potter - how cool are words like "Muggle" and "Quidditch"?? I'veread all the books in Chinese, but I'm slowly working my way through the English versions. And singing along to my favorite English songs and watching English cartoons has really helped my pronunciation. But why exactly do I want to be an English teacher when I grow up? Well, there are lots of reasons! One big reason is that I want to help spread the joy and benefits of English to others the way my teachers helped me. English opens up so many doors - you can make friends from other countries, learn about fascinating cultures, get a great job domestically or overseas, and more!I have this vision of myself as a fun, goofy English teacher for little kids, making them crack up with jokes and props while they soak up the language through games and activities. Or maybe I'll get to teach teenagers or adults and really dive deep into great novels, poems, and drama with them. Either way, I'll feel so rewarded passing on my love for English.Another reason is that I'm a huge people person and I love public speaking. I'm that kid who always raises his hand to answer questions or volunteer for things in class. My teachers are always telling my parents what a friendly, energetic young man I am. I love chatting up new people I meet and making them smile. So being an English teacher where I can interact with students all day seems perfect for me.Finally, I know being an English teacher in China is a very respectable and important job. My grandparents and parents really value education and they'd be so proud of me for becoming a teacher. Teachers play such a vital role in shapingyoung minds and giving the next generation the tools for success. If I can make a difference by helping Chinese students to become proficient in such a widely-spoken global language like English, then I'll feel like I've really accomplished something great.Of course, the road to becoming an English teacher will be quite long. I'll need to continue excelling in all my English classes from elementary school through middle school, high school, and university. I'm sure there will be challenges along the way like difficult grammar concepts, writing assignments, and complex literature. But I'll work hard, never give up, and enjoy the journey. After university, I'll need to get my official teaching certificate and qualifications. Then I'll start looking for positions at schools, reference centers, training centers, universities or companies. Maybe I'll even get the chance to teach English overseas for a few years! No matter what, you can be sure I'll walk into my first classroom confident, energetic and ready to instill my love for the English language.Imagining myself as an English teacher gets me so excited and motivated. I can't wait to stand at the front of a class and greet my students with a smiley "Hello everyone!" Then I'll write fun vocabulary words on the board like "zany" or "flabbergasted"and make my students repeat them in funny voices. We'll read entertaining stories and scripts together, watch engaging videos, and play active games that reinforce the lessons. My classes will be the perfect balance of learning and laughter.Outside of classes, there will be lots of avenues to explore my interests and bond with students too. I could start an English Drama Club where we read plays and perform them on stage. Or maybe a Creative Writing Workshop where we craft entertaining stories and poems. Or a Travel Club where we learn about different Anglophone countries and cultures through activities and field trips. The possibilities are endless! So that's my big dream that I'm working toward every day - becoming an English teacher who sparks a passion for the language through fun, engaging, and effective instruction. Just picturing my future self in the classroom filled with enthusiastic students puts the biggest smile on my face.Hopefully you can see why I think being an English teacher would be the coolest job ever. I'm obsessed with the English language and its cultures. I'm a total people person and natural entertainer. And I'll be so fulfilled knowing I'm helping to unlock doors and opportunities for my students.Okay, I'll stop rambling now! But I can't wait to continue pursuing my big dream of English teaching. When I accomplish it, you can call me Mr. Xiaoming!篇3My Big Dream to Be a DoctorHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I'm in 5th grade at Sunshine Elementary School. Today I want to tell you all about my super big dream for the future - I want to be a doctor when I grow up!Being a doctor is the best job ever in my opinion. Doctors are real-life superheroes who get to help people every single day. Whenever someone is sick or hurt, they rush to the rescue to make them feel all better. How cool is that?I've wanted to be a doctor for as long as I can remember. When I was really little, maybe 4 or 5 years old, I remember watching doctors on TV shows. They always looked so smart in their white coats with stethoscopes around their necks. I was amazed by how much they knew about the human body and all the different medicines they could prescribe. It seemed like such an important job taking care of people's health. Then when I was 6, I had to go to the hospital for a tonsil operation. I was really scared at first, but the doctors and nurses were so nice. They explained everything to me using kid-friendly words I could understand. They made me feel safe and calm instead of scared. After the surgery was over, they gave me a lollipop and sticker for being so brave. From that moment on, I decided - yep, being a doctor is definitely what I want to do!Over the years, my dream has only gotten bigger and bigger. In school, my favorite subjects are science and math because I know doctors need to be super good at those. I try my hardest to get perfect scores. I even started a science club at school so I can experiment and learn more. For career day last year, I made my own doctor costume out of an old white shirt and borrowed a stethoscope from the nurse.I walked around the classroom examining my classmates and giving them lollipops as pretend medicine. It was so much fun! All the other kids said I was already a natural-born doctor. If I get to become a real doctor, I'm going to be the type who works in the emergency room. That's where all the biggest emergencies and most exciting cases happen. Can you imagine how nerve-wracking but amazing it would be to save someone'slife after a bad accident or something? I think I'd be really good at staying calm and focused in crazy situations like that.Another awesome part about being a doctor is you get to constantly keep learning about the latest treatments and medical breakthroughs. The human body is so complex and scientists are always making new discoveries. As a doctor, I'd get to learn cutting-edge stuff about genetics, innovative surgeries using robots, curing diseases that used to be unstoppable, and more. How fascinating is that?!Of course, being a doctor is not all fun and games. It's probably one of the most difficult careers with hellish hours, years and years of school, and dealing with sick people all the time. Not to mention sure there will be incredibly sad, heartbreaking moments where I can't save everyone no matter how hard I try. That would be the toughest part for sure. But at the end of the day, those challenges are worth it to me. Because being a doctor means getting to help people in their most vulnerable times. It means saving lives and making a positive difference in the world. It means being surrounded by science and discovery every single day. Those are the highest callings a person could want in a career if you ask me!So yeah, that's my big dream - saving lives as a doctor, specifically an emergency room hero! I'm going to work my butt off in school from now until college. Then after getting a medical degree and tons of job training,I'll finally get to make my dream come true. Just watch, someday I'll be the one wearing the white coat and saying "Dr. Xiaoming, at your service!" You'll see!篇4My Summer VacationWow, summer vacation was awesome this year! I had so much fun and did a lot of cool stuff. Let me tell you all about it.It started out kind of boring at first. The first couple weeks I just hung out at home playing video games and watching TV. My mom got mad at me for being a couch potato and said I needed to get out of the house more. She's always nagging me about that! Then my cousin Xiaoming came to visit for a few weeks. He lives in the countryside so we had a blast showing him around the big city. We went to all the best places - the beach, the giant shopping mall, the amusement park. That roller coaster was crazy! We also took him to try all kinds of yummy foods he can't get back home like hot pot, dim sum, and bubble tea. Xiaoming'sfavorite was the stinky tofu. He thought it was so funny how much it smelled! After Xiaoming went back home, I went to summer camp for a couple weeks. I was kind of nervous at first because I didn't know anyone there. But I made a ton of new friends really quick. We had so much fun together! We played basketball, went swimming, did arts and crafts, and played endless games of capture the flag and hide and seek around the camp grounds. My favorite was probably the talent show at the end. This one guy did an amazing Michael Jackson dance, and I entered doing some magic tricks I learned online. I didn't win but everyone cheered for me anyway. The highlight of the summer though was definitely our family trip to Hainan Island. We flew down and spent a week at this amazing beach resort. The weather was perfect - sunny and hot every day. I worked on my tan and finally have some color now instead of looking like a ghost! We swam in the ocean, went snorkeling to see the coral and fish, and just relaxed on the beach under umbrellas drinking fruity drinks. For dinner every night we had huge seaside barbecues with all kinds of seafood like shrimp, crab, and fresh fish. It was so good! One day we went on an adventure through the rainforest inland. That was kind of scary with all the bugs and dense jungle. But our guide knew everything about the plants and animals, which was really cool to learn. We even saw these crazy huge lizards! At the end we got to jump into this natural pool under a waterfall. The water was freezing cold but it felt amazing after the hot hike.We didn't want to leave Hainan at the end of the week. Going back home felt sad. But I still have a few weeks of vacation left to keep having fun before school starts up again. I'm going to try and not waste it all this time playing video games!Looking back, I feel like I really made the most of summer break this year. I got to travel, be outside in nature, try new foods and activities, and make so many fun memories with my family and friends. It's been the best summer ever! I can't wait to go back to school though and tell everyone about all my awesome adventures. Hopefully they'll be jealous!篇5My Best Friend TeddyHi everyone! My name is Lucy and I'm going to tell you all about my very best friend in the whole wide world - Teddy!Teddy is a big brown teddy bear that my grandma gave me for my 5th birthday. He's super soft and cuddly and I just love him sooooo much!Teddy goes everywhere with me. He sits next to me at the breakfast table while I eat my cereal in the mornings. He rides in the backseat of the car when my mom takes me to school. And he's always there waiting on my bed when I get home in the afternoons. The first thing I do is give Teddy a huge bear hug!At night, Teddy sleeps in my bed with me. I snuggle up close to him and he keeps me feeling safe and not scared of the dark. Sometimes I tell Teddy all my secrets and problems. Like how Billy pulled my hair at recess or how I'm worried about the big math test on Friday. Teddy is a really good listener and always makes me feel better.Teddy has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. We've been through so much together! Like the time I fell off the monkey bars and broke my arm. Teddy stayed right by my side in the hospital. Or when we moved to a new house and I was sad to leave my old neighborhood. Teddy helped me feel brave during the move. He's always there for me no matter what. Some of my favorite memories are the adventures we've gone on together. Like camping in the backyard with Teddy andtelling ghost stories by the firepit. Or taking Teddy to the beach and burying him in the sand! One time we even took Teddy on a road trip to visit my cousins. He got his very own seatbelt and everything.I don't know what I'd do without my pal Teddy. He's more than just a stuffed animal, he's part of the family. My mom says I'll have to put away my "childish" toys someday and stop playing make-believe games. But I don't think I'll ever outgrow Teddy. He'll always have a special place on my bedand in my heart.Well, that's pretty much all about my bestie Teddy! I sure do love that silly old bear. We have somany more adventures and memories to make together. I'll never forget the day Grandma gave me Teddy and how he's been my most trustylittle companion ever since. Thanks for reading all about my #1 guy!篇6My English Exam AdventureLast year, I had to take a big important English test. It was the exam for vocational school students who want to go to university. The exam was really hard, but I studied a lot to get ready.First, I had to answer a bunch of questions about reading passages. The passages were pretty long with lots of hard words.I had to read them very carefully and try to understand the main ideas and details. Some of the questions just asked what specific details were mentioned, while others wanted me to infer things that weren't directly stated. I struggled a bit with the inference questions.Next up was the writing section. We had to write two compositions - one was an email to a friend about daily life and one was an argumentative essay. For the email, I wrote about my summer vacation and what fun activities I did. I tried to use some idioms and slang to make it sound more natural. The argumentative essay was super tough. The prompt asked if I agreed that elementary schools should have final exams. I had to develop a clear position and provide good reasons and examples to support my stance. Organizing my thoughts into coherent paragraphs with topic sentences was really hard. I'm just not very good at argumentative writing yet. After the writing section, we moved on to listening comprehension. We listened to recordings of conversations and had to answer questions testing our understanding. Some of the conversations used unfamiliar accents or lots of slang, whichmade them really difficult to follow completely. I got flustered and may have missed some key details. The final part was knowledge of language use - things like grammar, vocabulary, and pragmatics. There were questions testing my ability to identify errors in sentences and choose proper words for different contexts. I've never been very strong with the finer points of English grammar rules, so this section was pretty challenging for me.Overall, while I studied really hard, the exam was just incredibly difficult. There was so much academic English vocabulary and complex questions that really put my skills to the test. When I left the exam room, I just felt mentally exhausted but hoped I did okay.A couple months later, I got my results back. My scores weren't amazing, but they were just high enough to qualify me for admission to a bachelor's program! I was overjoyed that my hard work had paid off. While that exam nearly broke me, passing it opened up new opportunities for further education.Looking back, that experience taught me the importance of perseverance, time management, and maintaining a positive attitude in the face of adversity. Preparing for and taking that exam was one of the biggest academic challenges I've faced sofar. However, successfully conquering it boosted my confidence in my English abilities and motivates me to keep working hard. Who knows what new adventures await me at university?。
