1.《the Most Beautiful Student on Campus》

After a heated discussion, our class has decided to recommend Li Yan as the Most Beautiful Student on Campus. We have every reason to believe she is qualified for the honor. To begin with, Li Yan is always willing to offer help whenever there is a trouble among us, which moved us a lot. Besides, her great devotion to work as our monitor makes our class a most harmonious place to study and live in.

What has impressed us most, however, is her unconditional love to the poor children in the remote villages. Knowing that they had little access to reading materials, she started to donate a diversity of books as early as she was in junior school. Two years ago, she volunteered to teach English and painting in a small village during the summer vacation, which, as a consequence, has inspired some other students to join in, thus opening up a new world to those children.

Her actions suggest that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference to those in need. Her selfless love touching our heart, we strongly support Li Yan as the Most Beautiful Student on Campus.

2.《The Book That Impresses Me Most》

The books I have read are too many to count, the most impressive of which is no doubt Jane Eyre, in simple English.

On reading the book by Bronte, I couldn’t help being absorbed in its beautiful plot. The heroine Jane Eyre is a poor but ambitious, small in body but huge in soul, unknown but self-respecting girl, suffering a lot since her childhood. She never gave in to the unfair life, pursuing freedom and happiness all her life. It's her spirit and confidence that catch my eyes, which is what it takes to get over difficulties and realize our dream.

It's widely accepted that good books , like real friends, are surely of benefit to our growth, making us wise, and keeping our mind rich.

3.《英语演讲比赛》

As you know, the mass selection Into Western Australia was held a few day days ago. I firmly believed the fact that the competition was of great benefit to us. During the time, a large number of students who was good at spoken English appeared on the stage. And there is no doubt that it would attract our attention to improving our English. What’s more, it helped us form a good habit to English learning, that is spoken English.

Sadly, I was not selected to take part in the competition, but I will never lose heart. There is growing number of people attaching great significance to the ability of communicating fluently with foreigners.

1.《How I wished hadn't occurred》

When I was a kid, I used to be a trouble-maker. Among all my memories, there was one thing that I really wished hadn’t occurred.

Had it hadn’t ha ppened, we would have enjoyed the ball game more. That day, my friends and I were playing football when suddenly the ball headed towards my neighbor’s window, causing it to be broken. After a while, an old lady came out and asked who it was that broke the window. I was so embarrassed that I told a lie. Instead of blaming us for our bad behavior, she invited us into her house and treated us to some candies.

No one can avoid making mistakes in daily life. It does not matter whether we have made mistakes. What counts the most is that we should face our faults bravely, correct them and learn from them. In addition, honesty is one thing that plays a vital part in achieving success. Never should we think that we can get away with telling a lie.
