英语演讲比赛获奖演讲稿精选范文(精选3篇)英语演讲比赛获奖演讲稿精选范文 篇1 In summer of 20xx, public officials in our province of Saskatchewan issued a decree: that allaffected people leave their homes and in mass exodus, travel to places of refuge where theycould be safe and accounted for. They were escaping blazing forest fires of epic proportions. It was the largest evacuation in Saskatchewan history. Thousands of people were on the move, all of them in uncertain circumstances, not knowinghow quickly they would return home. For a few young women, these circumstances had an added dimension of uncertainty. Theywere in the late stages of pregnancy. These young women were living as displaced persons far from home, without the supplies theyhad gathered for their new baby. Thankfully, for all concerned, healthy babies were delivered in hospitals close by with medicalstaff to give assistance. We are privileged to live in a province where people come together. That can be difficult whenstress levels are high. And so I salute the evacuees, and the firefighters, and the troops, and the Red Cross, and thelocal officials, the mayors and chiefs. Those who shared money, food and supplies, those who prayed for an ending to this situation. All rose to the occasion. Two thousand years ago, a public official named Caesar Augustus issued a decree that all peopleneeded to be accounted for. Itaffected the entire Roman world. Everyone needed to beregistered. Many people were on the move, with primitive travel arrangements, not knowing how long thiswould take. I'm sure for some young women, this circumstance had an added dimension of uncertainty.Like being in the late stages of pregnancy. For one of these young women, the time came to have her baby, her first. Not in a local hospitalalong the way, not even in a clean, comfortable Holiday Inn, but in a stable, with precious fewamenities. Her only assistant, a most likely very, very nervous husband, with perhaps some curiousanimals looking on. She didn't have much for supplies either. All she had were a few strips of cloth to wrap him in.And all she could lay him in was not a cradle made by her carpenter husband, but just asimple, dirty manger. Crude surroundings for a King. His first visitors – an adoring group in from the fields smellingstrongly of sheep. They were alerted by a type of atmospheric media unlike any we couldimagine. All rose to the occasion. This Christmas, we celebrate the arrival of that very special baby boy. The "Divinest Heart thatever walked the earth was born on that day" as it has been said. His name is Jesus, the essence of hope and peace and the ultimate example of self-sacrificefor love. So from me and my wife Tami, and our family, and on behalf of my colleagues in theGovernment of Saskatchewan: "May you have the gladness of Christmas which is hope; thespirit of Christmas which is peace; and the heart of Christmas which is love." And may you spread joy to others who need it most. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

When I was still a freshman in college, one Scottish professor complained to me about being overcharged at a grocery store. He explained that many business owners in China would assume that white “foreigners” are rich and unable to understand Chinese. My amiable professor, unwilling to start a conflict, would always pay the undue price even though he was only meagerly paid by my university and was able to speak perfect Mandarin. As a student of humanities, I’m particularly intrigued by the ramifications of cross-cultural encounters entailed by the new era. We have to bear in mind that whenever we talk about the new era, there is always an old era that keeps haunting us in various ways. Last year I went to the University of Tokyo for a one-year exchange program. Before I left, my grandma seemed quite distraught and apprehensive: she told me to take care of myself as if I was about to go to the battlefield. But we Chinese are not the only ones infested by outdated misconceptions. When I was bidding farewell to my American professor at an academic writing class in Japan, she stopped me and asked me, “Are you really from China?” At first I thought she was pointing at my handsomeness, asking me whether I had been to Korea for plastic surgery. Well, clearly this is another stereotype that we should get rid of. But to my disappointment, she was actually referring to my English skills. “I’ve never met a ny Chinese student who can talk and write like you do,” She said, “You must have been stayed in the States for some time, haven’t you?” It does seem that even a specialist in linguistics can’t escape the illusion built up by the last generation of Chinese students: gauche and diffident, unable to articulate themselves in English.Nevertheless, such stereotypes are becoming a thing of the past. When professors around the globe meet with an increasing number of students from China with both language proficiency and academic competence, well-qualified students will no longer be a surprise. Moreover, with more people going abroad and enjoying firsthand encounters with different cultures, people like my grandmawill no longer be subject to the fossilized, antiquated narrative of the past. The interesting thing is, after I told my grandma my experiences in Japan, how clean, safe and beautiful their cities are and how nice, polite and considerate their people are, she gladly removed Japan from the list of least-want-to-visit foreign countries and put it instead to the most-want-to-visit one.Even the shop owner near my campus is now repenting for his peccadillo. When gradually more international purchasers become his patrons, he would no longer treat them differently. And he would even occasionally call out for them, yelling “come, come,” “cheap, cheap,” “thanks thanks” with a very strong Chinese accent. Meanwhile, my Scottish professor has now equipped himself with Wechat and Alipay, assimilating seamlessly into the local life here. The old era is like a cocoon, protecting us from possible dangers outside and providing us with warmth and comfort. However, an overreliance on memories and experiences of a long-gone past can also hinder us from genuine, meaningful interactions for the future, just as the cocoon can also serve as a wall to bar us from the beautiful world outside. But in order to make a brand-new attire or to build a modern silk road, we have to plunge the cocoons into hot water and obtain the silk de spite the pain. So ladies and gentlemen, don’t be trapped by the old era. Transcend it, and embrace the new one.Thank you.全国英语比赛演讲稿范文第2篇What is a smile? Some people say that the expression is the heart. 英语演讲比赛主题即兴演讲(优秀8篇)英语主题演讲稿篇一As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me. She was my so called "best friend". I stared at her long, silky hair, and wished she was mine. But she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. After class, she walked up to me and asked me for the notes she had missed the day before and handed them to her. She said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.11th gradeThe phone rang. On the other end, it was her. She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broke her heart. She asked me to come over because she didn't want to be alone, so I did. As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine. After 2 hours, one Drew Barrymore movie, and three bags of chips, she decided to go to sleep. She looked at me, said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.Senior yearThe day before prom she walked to my locker. My date is sick" she said; he's not going to go well, I didn't have a date, and in 7th grade, we made a promise that if neither of us had dates, we would go together just as "best friends". So we did. Prom night, after everything was over, I was standing at her front door step. I stared at her as she smiled at me and stared at me with her crystal eyes. I want her to be mine, but she isn't think of me like that, and I know it. Then she said "I had the best time, thanks!" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.Graduation DayA day passed, then a week, then a month. Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged her. Then she lifted her head from my shoulder and said, "you're my best friend, thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.A Few Years LaterNow I sit in the pews of the church. That girl is getting married now. I watched her say "I do" and drive off to her new life, married to another man. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't see me like that, and I knew it. But before she drove away, she came to me and said "you came!". She said "thanks" and kissed me on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.FuneralYears passed, I looked down at the coffin of a girl who used to be my "best friend". At the service, they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years. This is what it read: I stare at him wishing he was mine, but he doesn't notice me like that, and I know it. I want to tell him, I want him to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love him but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why. I wish he would tell me he loved me! `I wish I did too...` I thought to my self, and I cried.好的英语主题有趣演讲题材篇二I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! To begin with ,I want to ask a question .Does everybody dream a good dream last night? Actually ,today I want to talk about dream with you. Of course, What I want to talk is not a dream you have last night, but a dream—— about life.Everyone has dreams about life, different dreams at different life stage, and we need dreams to support us. Dreams are like the stars we never reach in the sky,but like most mariners(水手),we can chart our course by them. With the dream,we have a direction, with a direction, we were no longer confused. With the dream, there is hope,With hope, we have the strength to fight. But I know, life is tough, and there are always ups and downs, maybe we fail in the way to our aims, and we may feel depressed ,whenever at this time, the dream in our heart can always comfort us, encourage us ,and support us to move ahead.Young!Fortunately, I am young now. Just due to it, I know that nothing is impossible.I firmly believe that nothing can stand in my way.I cant realize my dream,it result from that I havent work harder enough and I wont find other e__cuses. If no people believe you, you can make it to prove that you are right. If you think the god havent blessed you and there is no truth here, you can become the god and create the truth. My breath swallows the sky and make the yellow river overflow, my sword is famous in Kyushu and it can collapse the five sacred mountains. At some time in the past I also had am bitious words and I had some achievements. Each achievement results from my hard work. I always believe that If you want to have more achievements than others, you must work harder. In some e__tent, the dream is the hope. If you can insist on doing something, the victory will come.Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today. Lets---move---out!Thank you for your listening!英语主题演讲篇三hello everyone!Everyone has a dream,it is everybody yearning. But the man without a dream of the life will be empty. But dreams are always with the thought of advance and change. Begin to remember,I have a dream. I hope I have money, people always ask:boy, this is a great dream, have money, what are you going to do? I#39;m going to buy chocolate. if you have a lot of money? I will buy a lot of chocolate.if you have money to burn? I#39;ll buy chocolate factory. Indeed when we,innocent, with a kind heart, happineand joy is a constant movement. When I was young,I have a dream.I hope you can become a kite, floating in the sky,and then slowly fell down. Then in the green meadow like playing with companion, often chasing the white clouds in the sky,let the flap with laughter,do the multicolored multicoloured dream.Read,I have a dream. I hope to have a basketball; when I had time for basketball, but also want a football; when I play football, volleyball became my pursuit. Another has a dream into a reality when,in fact I believe that the dream is not far away from me,as long as childish play, will be the realization of a dream. but impeachment must proceed within the confines of the constitutional term high crime[s] and misdemeanors. of the impeachment process, it was woodrow wilson who said that nothing short of the grossest offenses against the plain law of the land will suffice to give them speed and effectiveness. indignation so great as to overgrow party interest may secure a conviction; but nothing else can.common sense would be revolted if we engaged upon this process for petty reasons. congress has a lot to do: appropriations, tax reform, health insurance, campaign finance reform, housing, environmental protection, energy sufficiency, mass transportation. pettiness cannot be allowed to stand in the face of such overwhelming problems. so today we are not being petty. we are trying to be big, because the task we have before us is a big one.this morning, in a discussion of the evidence, we were told that the evidence which purports to support the allegations of misuse of the cia by the president is thin. we#39;re told that that evidence is insufficient. what that recital of the evidence this morning did not include is what the president did know on june the 23rd, 1972.the president did know that it was republican money, that it was money from the committee for the re-election of the president, which was found in the possession of one of the burglars arrested on june the 17th. what the president did know on the 23rd of june was the prior activities of e. howard hunt, which included his participation in the break-in of daniel ellsberg#39;s psychiatrist, which included howard hunt#39;s participation in the dita beard itt affair, which included howard hunt#39;s fabrication of cables designed to discredit the kennedy administration.we were further cautioned today that perhaps these proceedings ought to be delayed because certainly there would be new evidence forthcoming from the president of the united states. there has not even been an obfuscated indication that this committee would receive any additional materials from the president. the committee subpoena is outstanding, and if the president wants to supply that material, the committee sits here. the fact is that on yesterday, the american people waited with great anxiety for eight hours, not knowing whether their president would obey an order of the supreme court of the united states.at this point, i would like to juxtapose a few of the impeachment criteria with some of the actions the president has engaged in. impeachment criteria: james madison, from the virginia ratification convention. if the president be connected in any suspicious manner with any person and there be grounds to believe that he will shelter him, he may be impeached.we have heard time and time again that the evidence reflects the payment to defendants money. the president had knowledge that these funds were being paid and these were funds collected for the 1972 presidential campaign. we know that the president met with mr. henry petersen 27 times to discuss matters related to watergate, and immediately thereafter met with the very persons who were implicated in the information mr. petersen was receiving. the words are: if the president is connected in any suspicious manner with any person and there be grounds to believe that he will shelter that person, he may be impeached.好的英语主题有趣演讲题材篇六Time flies. In a twinkling of an eye, four years later, I am no longer the kid playing hide and seek, nor the coquettish little girl lying in her mother#39;s arms. On this day, I bid farewell to my alma mater for four years and walked into the gate of No.3 middle school with my perfect vision for the future.Coming to the new school, my first feeling is fresh. The campus is so clean and tidy, with wide playground and bright classroom; there are amiable teachers and friendly students, which makes me believe that I am not in the wrong place. I like the environment there. There are plants and trees for company. There are classmates who care for each other. There are teachers who teach me carefully. Such a beautiful school, such a brand-new classroom, such a kind family, really let me surging new tide. When you come to a new school, you should have a new look. In a year there, I will make up for my own shortcomings. It#39;s not enough to attend all kinds of lectures, but also to pay attention to the teachers#39; speeches I understand that it will be very difficult to do this. As long as you work hard, persevere and never shrink back, you will succeed.I understand that everyone#39;s mind is not the same, the new semester everyone has their own plan, let#39;s join hands to advance towards the goal of self!吸引人的英语演讲主题及题目篇七1、在遇到困难时,放弃也是正确的选择吗?Do you think it’s proper to give up, if it just seems too hard.2、人们经常把老师比作蜡烛或园丁,你会选择那种比喻你的老师?为什么?People usually compare teachers to candles or gardeners, which of these would you compare your teacher to? I believe that all our dreams can come true if we have courage to pursue them .When I was young my father always asked me what I would be in the future . Sometimes I found it very hard to give a certain reply . I want to be a doctor . I want to be a teacher . and I ;d like to be a scientist ! Many of these answers are perhaps very childish and ridiculous . But I never think they are far away .How time flies! Who is able to give a definition to his future ? I know clearly that those high buildings are based on solid foundation . As a student , I should have a reasonable aim , and study hard . My goal is to enter the best university for further study after middle school . I know it;s hard work , and I ;ll come across many difficulties and frustrations . But no matter what they are , I;ll keep working on it and never give up . My teacher says there ;s only one kind of people that are truly successful : those who are brave enough to put up with hardships . Even if I won;t achieve the goal , I have no regrets for what I have done , for I have struggled for my life .全国大学生英语演讲比赛演讲稿篇二Ladies and gentlemen,I#39;m Choco,from14CPA Canada.I#39;m here today not just for winning the speech contest, which is amazing enough, but more importantly, the topic fascinates me so much.As a member of AIESEC,an international organization for university students famous for global citizen program,I#39;m proud to help lots of students go out of their countries to be global volunteers,to make friends with peers all around the world,to experience other culture,to make a little change in local society, above all,to develop a sense of global citizenship. We all have firm belief that there shouldn#39;t be walls between occur because people know little about each other, misunderstand each other. If human society has a bright future in peace, there have to be more people with the sense of global citizenship,to share the natural rights together and take responsibility together. Because this is one minute for self-introduction,I just briefly introduce myself in this way: I am a global citizen.China is my bedroom where I usually live, the world is my real home.【Main part】I#39;d like to use the answers to three questions, which is what, why and how, to deliver my speech today.First of all, what are global citizens? We are people who place our indentities with global community above our identities of a particular nation. In other words,we are not abandoning our nationalities or our hometowns, but we have stronger belongings to the globe. We are concerned about every global issue, never less than those in our own countries. There comes the second question. Many people will ask: Why do you feel like that? Why do you think more people should feel like that? Let#39;s look through human#39;s history and there lies the answer. From then to now,it#39;s not difficult to find out that most civilizations have more things in common than differences. We all develop languages, complicated social structures,art,science,commerce,philosophy...Undeniably,we did have wars, but it turned out that there were no winners or losers. We all sufferedfromthe same pain.Families died in battlefield, and houses were detroyed in shells. While in peace, all of us enjoy safe environment and economic growth. Our histories are linked, and so is our future. Everyone of us desires being well off, democracy, cultural prosperity, clean air and water. We all hope that our kids can grow up safeand sound,don#39;t we? Since we share the same feelings, the same hope, humankind is essentially one.If you think that#39;s too big.Let#39;s come down to current globalization is the trendthat no one can stop.Investment comesfromevery corner of the world, and different markets are tightly is needed if everyone wants to live better ,issues of global level are more noticable than before:climate change, financial crisis,women#39;s right,children#39;s health...Without the sense of global citizenship, no one is willing to sit down and settle down the problems together. Now move to the last question: how to become a global citizen? As a saying goes:To see,to understand, then to of my friendin AIESEC went to Karachi,Pakistan this had she thought that she could see a MacDonald restaurant and hear songs of Taylor Swift right after getting off the plane. What she saw was people living their normal life in the so-called City of Death.Adults going to work, students going to school, just like what we#39;re doing here, although a bullet may fly above their heads the next second. She was also impressed by youngsters in Pakistan, who showed courage, faith and confidence to create a bright future for their just panic and depress can survive there as the news reports, but also the seed of hope is sprouting.Another friendof mine in AIESEC isfromIndia. His name is Kunal, and he regards himself as a global citizen. He joined AIESEC in India, where he met his lifelong lover,a blonde Russian girl in a local project. When he went to the university of Copenhagen,he joined the AIESEC committee there as ,he is in Canada, running another AIESEC project called Green Power Now,giving advice to the government about environmental protection.Young people like Kunal are changing the world now, with their experience, ability, ambition and the name of global citizens. My speech is almost finished according to the three questions, but traditionally, speakers have to quote something so today I#39;d like quote a song by John Lennon. The name is Imagine. 大学生英语演讲稿篇三a scene to remembergu qiubeishanghai international studies universityadvisor: gong longshenggood afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. today i would like to begin with a story.there was once a physical 1) therapist who traveled all the way from america to africa to do a 2) census about mountain 3) gorillas. these gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world; this put them severely under threat of 4) poaching and being put into the zoo. she went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures. she witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged we've ever been, where in the very depth of the african rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas 5) cuddled their babies.yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called gorillas in the mist, based on a true story of mrs. dian fossey, who spent most of bet lifetime in rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.to me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a 6) timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our ecoenvironment.today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems. on the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go. it has become a lifestyle for some people, and has turned out to be the driving force in gdp growth.it has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity. but on the other hand, many problems can occur---natural scenes aren't natural anymore. deforestation to heat lodges is devastating nepal. oil spills from tourist boats are polluting antarctica. tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to u2 on walkman and wear nike and reeboks.all these 7) appalling(令人震惊的) facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been 8) eroding(侵蚀) our resources. encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the united nations has made 20xx the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment.now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations an: receiving donations--big notes, small notes or even coins--from housewives, 9) plumbers(水管工人), ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and 10) invalids(残疾人), some of them can not afford to send the money but they do. these are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood. why? because they care. because they still want their mother nature back. because they know it still belongs to them.this kind of feeling that i have, ladies and gentlemen, is when it feels like it, smells like it, and looks like it, it's all coming from a scene to remember, a scene to recall and to cherish.the other night, as l saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs. i found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to some- thing else, someplace else. a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seem to have been except the deer.and all those unforgettable scenes strengthened the feeling that it's lime for us to do something, for our own and our coming generation.once again, i have come to think of mrs. dian fossey be- cause it's with her spirit, passion, courage and strong sense of our ecoenvironment that we are taking our next step into the world.and no matter who we are, what we do and where we go, in our mind, there's always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it.thank you very much.大学生英语2分钟演讲稿篇四I love the school,if say my childhood like a string of shells, then I think the life of the school in the xxx is one of the most beautiful one.I have learned a man I love the school and learned a lot of knowledge,I am here to grow up happily.I love the warmth of the big collective, united as one love it,love its elegant environment, love its rich variety of activities.School students to participate in organized competition, students are encouraged to register; clean up the campus health,we are all hands-on; the establishment of xxx tra-curricular groups, everyone fighting over who gets to participate. So one thing left me with an indelible impression. Also remember that it was New Years party in 20xxx,when Classroom layout looks xxx tremely beautiful! Right before I got home, four satellite channels of CCTV were added to the 14 channels we had already had. In prime time at night, they all had interesting shows. Therefore, the five of us-my parents, my sisters and I-had to argue over what to watch. Finally, we agreed that we should watch the "most interesting" programme... If wecould agree what that was. However, all of us there remember that for a long time after we had TV, there were only one or two channels available. The increase in options reveals an important change in our life: the abundance of choice.Fifteen years ago we all dressed in one style and in one colour. Today, we select from a wide variety of designs and shades.Fifteen years ago, we read few newspapers. Today, we read English newspapers like the China Daily and the 21st Century, as well as various Chinese newspapers.Fifteen years ago, English majors took only courses in language and literature. Today, we also study Western culture, journalism, business communications, international relations, and computer science. The emergence of choices marks the beginning of a new era in China's history; an era of diversity, of material and cultural richness, and an era of the rebirth of the Chinese nation. We enjoy the abundance of choice. But this has not come easily.About 150 years ago, China was forced to open up its door by Western canons and gunboats. It has been through the struggle and sacrifice of generations that we finally have gained the opportunity to choose for ourselves. The policy of reform and openness is the choice that has made all the difference.Like others of my age, I'm too young to have experienced the time when the Chinese people had no right to choose. However, as the next century draws near, it is time to ask: What does choice really mean to us young people? Is choice a game that relies on chance or luck? Is choice an empty promise that never materializes? Or is choice a puzzle so difficult that we have to avoid it?First, I would like to say: To choose means to claim opportunities.I am a third-year English major. An important choice for me, of course, is what to do upon graduation. I can go to graduate school, at home or abroad. I can go to work as a teacher, a translator, a journalist, an editor and a diplomat. Actually, the system of mutual selection has allowed me to approach almost every career opportunity in China.Indeed, this is not going to be an easy choice. I would love to work in such big cities as Beijing or Shanghai or Shenzhen. I would also love to return to my hometown, which is intimate, though slightly lagging in development. I would love to stay in the coastal area where life is exciting and fast-paced. I would also love to put down roots in central and western China, which is underdeveloped, but holds great potential. All of these sound good. But they are only possibilities. To those of us who are bewildered at the abundance of opportunities, I would like to say: To choose means to accept challenge. To us young people, challenge often emerges in the form of competition. In the next century, competition will not only come from other college graduates, but also from people of all ages and of all origins. With increasing international exchanges, we have to face growing competition from the whole outside world. This is calling for a higher level of our personal development.Fifteen years ago, the knowledge of a foreign language or of computer operation was considered merely an advantage. But today, with wider educational opportunities, this same knowledge has become essential to everyone.Given this situation, even our smallest choices will require great wisdom and personal determination. As we gain more initiative in choice making, the consequence of each choice also becomes more important. As we gain more initiative in choice making, the consequence of each choice also becomes more important.Nuclear power, for instance, may improve our quality of life. But it can also be used to damage the lives and possessions of millions.Economic development has enriched our lives but brought with it serious harm to our air, water and health. To those of us who are blind to the consequences of their choices, I would like to say, To choose means to take responsibility. When we are making choices for ourselves, we cannot casually say: "It's just my own business. " As policy makers of the next century, we cannot fail to see our responsibility to those who share the earth with us.The traditional Chinese culture teaches us to study hard and work hard so as to honor our family. To me, however, this family is not just the five of us who quarreled over television programmes. Rather, it is the whole of the human family. As I am making my choices, I will not forget the smile of my teacher when I correctly spelled out the word "China" for the first time, I will not forget the happy faces of the boys and girls we helped to send back to school in the mountains of Jiangxi Province. I will not forget the tearful eyes of women and children in Bosnia, Chechnya and Somali, where millions are suffering from war, famine or poverty. All these people, known and unknown, make up our big human family. At different points, they came into my life and broaden my perspective. Now as I am to make choices for myself, it is time to make efforts to improve their lives, because a world will benefit us all only if every one in it can lead a peaceful and prosperous life.选择的重要性去年春节期间,我陷入过一场家庭纷争。

英语演讲比赛演讲稿(精选13篇)英语演讲比赛演讲稿篇1In our daily lives, we have many choices to make, such as what to eat forsupper, what clothes to wear, or what to do on weekends. at certain times in ourlives, we need to make even more critical choices, such as which school toattend, what job to take or who to choose as husband or wife. yes, life is amatter of choice. seemimgly, it means a choice of tangible things. but inessence, it means choosing a way of life. life is to be lived, savored, andenjoyed, not to be wasted or complained about.Hardly can we forget the time when our society faced the grave threat fromthe life-and-death disease--sars. yet, even during those dreadful times, someafflicted people remained optimistic. instead of wearing neutral white masks, some people turned to colouful ones, and thus display a happy mood. and somecreative people dubbed sars to mean "smile and remain smiling." i was deeplytouched by their optimisim, nearly forgetting that we're still in abattle.people who survive these kinds of circumstances, (at some point)decide in theirminds to carry on in spite of the overwhelming odds.Laid-off workers, typically regarded as the victims of economicadvancement, are subject to desperation that being unmeployed has brought onthem. but, encouragingly, we have witnessed some of them striving hard torebuild confidence toward life and discover new opportunities for demonstratingtheir values.Although we cannot choose our appearance, inborn gifts and even avoidunexpected disasters and adversities, we do have the privilege to choose to liveoptimistcally,to love our lives, to have dreams, and to cherish hopes.Every morning when we get up, we have a choice of how we want to approachlife that day. as for me, i choose to be cheerful.英语演讲比赛演讲稿篇2Good morning, everyone!.From all the warm applause, i am of my classmates have hope. i will be with perseverance and tenacity to laugh last!what is life? is patience, tenacity, perseverance is perseverance, perseverance is a kind of toward the goal diligently pursue the process, a destination never give up the spirit!life is not easy, there are test; life is not smooth, often need to exercise. cannot persist in their pursuit for ideal, can't keep on carving to efforts, will be without a single success.the development of training, in the face of10 meters of rock climbing and bungy jumping, all the students without fear, the courage to climb, especially some female students to overcome the physiological and psychological aspects of persistent limit, climb, bent upward; we are going forward, courageously try to be the first performance, and take concrete actions to interpret the essence and connotation of perseverance!one persistent tenacity is strong from the need of necessary conditions. in the face of adversity is from, in the face of difficulties do not bow their heads, is a heroic performance. ancient cloud: adversity makes a man wise, what makes a hero. the setback and the attack for the strong is the driving force and pressure, is succeand victory! as everyone knows, he was arrested and his book; zhong ni and qu yuan banished for spring and autumn; ode to a left thalamic blindness, mandarin; sima qian; the" historical records" prison; beethoven wrote" moonlight sonata". be too numerous to enumerate examples, but the truth is only one, it is perseverance!in his daily sailing kolumb diary is always written with such a sentence:" we keep going!" this sentence may seem trivial, but contains a profound truth. with this advance courageously spirit, they marched towards the vast sea, acrothe tempestuous waves, after savage wilderness, overcome go through untold hardships, finally found a new continent, completed the history of an amazing feat!have one words of song, everyone for having heard it many times," no experience of wind and rain, how to see rainbow!" the road of life is not smooth, but carries a beautiful dream, just stick to the direction of life, they will be able to create their own or even human miracle!finally, i would like to use a poem:ugly bat with thousands of years of hard work was to win the praise of the poet a buffalo with a million works won the painter's green eyes,we are not born for fame and live to die,we are for the faith and to fight song!Thank you.英语演讲比赛演讲稿篇3DREAM——A word that has changed the worldHello, everybody !it is my great honor to be here to share my idea withyou .Today,I will talk something about DREAM——A word that has changed the world .“What do you think is the word that has really changed our world ”When I was asked about this question for the first time ,without thinking it too much ,a word flash into my mind ——DREAM ,D-R-E-A-M.People more or less dream about different things ,to be a teacher ,a doctor ,a scientist ,a businessman and so on .All these people who have dreams should berespected ,because Dreams make the world go around .We grow great by our dreams. All big men are great dreamers in their youth.Everyone has a dream ,and everything starts as one’s daydream.Martin Luther king had a dream. He desired for a future where blacks and whites would coexist harmoniously as equals.By speaking the way he did,he educated,he inspired,he informed not just the people there, but people throughout America and unborn generations. He pushed forward the pace of American black society towards the racial equality .Thomas Edison had a dream. He dreamed of a lamp that could be operated by electricity, began where he stood to put his dream into action, and despite more than ten thousand failures,he stood by that dream until he made it a physicalreality! And today, his dream lights up the world at night.Walt Disney had a dream. This,in itself, wasn't unusual -- he was always dreaming. He dreamed of making the first animated feature film, and of building an amusement park that parents could enjoy right along with their kids.Walt Disney empowered his dream and today,Disneyland,Disney world and Disney theme parks attract around the world thrill millions of visitors each and every year.John F.kennedy had a dream. He wanted to land a man on the moon and return him safely to earth so as to restore faith in the American way of life.John F.kennedy empowered his dream and 8 years later Neil Armstrong stepped on theface of the moon. The moon landing certainly gave Americans new found confidence.Dream --- A word that has changed the world Yes ,I would say so ,wouldn’t youYouth is a special life relay station ,the growth with the worry ,the life feeling become aware happily with the dream ,collected a unique youth melody in here .We decide. We choose. And as we decide and choose,so are our lives formed. In the end, forming our own destiny is what ambition is about. And most importantly ,You are the one you choose to be.It is easy to waste our lives ,our days ,our minutes .It is easy to exist than living .So hold fast to your dreams,For if dreams die, life is a broken-wingedbird,That cannot fly.Hold fast to your dreams,For when dreams go,life is a barren field,Frozen with snow.I hope you everyone he梦--一个改变世界的词大家好!我很荣幸能在这里和大家分享我的想法,今天我将谈论一个关于梦想的东西--一个改变世界的词。

全国英语比赛演讲稿全国英语比赛演讲稿「篇一」i have the answer to a question that we've all asked. the question is, why is it that the letter x represents the unknown? now i know we learned that in math class, but now it's everywhere in the culture -- the x prize, the x-files, project x, tedx. where'd that come from?about six years ago i decided that i would learn arabic, which turns out to be a supremely logical language. to write a word or a phrase or a sentence in arabic is like crafting an equation, because every part is extremely precise and carries a lot of information. that's one of the reasons so much of what we've come to think of as western science and mathematics and engineering was really worked out in the first few centuries of the common era by the persians and the arabs and the turks。
this includes the little system in arabic called al-jebra. and al-jebr roughly translates to “the system for reconciling disparate parts.“ al-jebr finally came into english as algebra. one example among many。

英语演讲比赛演讲稿(8篇)this is no surprise though if you look at the insights of contemporary psychology. it turns out that we cant even be in a group of people without instinctively mirroring, mimicking their opinions. even about seemingly personal and visceral things like who youre attracted to, you will start aping the beliefs of the people around you without even realizing that thats what youre doing. and groups famously follow the opinions of the most dominant or charismatic person in the room, even though theres zero correlation between being the best talker and having the best ideas -- i mean zero. so ... (laughter) you might be following the person with the best ideas, but you might not. and do you really want to leave it up to chance? much better for everybody to go off by themselves, generate their own ideas freed from the distortions of group dynamics, and then come together as a team to talk them throughin a well-managed environment and take it from there.now if all this is true, then why are we getting it so wrong? why are we setting up our schools this way and our workplaces? and why are we making these introverts feel so guilty about wanting tojust go off by themselves some of the time? one answer lies deep in our cultural history. western societies, and in particular the u.s., have always favored the man of action over the man of contemplation and “man“ of contemplation. but in americas early days, we lived in what historians call a culture of character, where we still, at that point, valued people for their inner selves and their moral rectitude. and if you look at the self-help books from this era, they all had titles with things like “character, the grandest thing in the world.“ and they featured role models like abraham lincoln who was praised for being modest and unassuming. ralph waldo emerson called him “a man who does not offend by superiority.“but then we hit the 20th century and we entered a new culture that historians call the culture of personality. what happened is we had evolved an agricultural economy to a world of big business. and so suddenly people are moving from small towns to the cities. and instead of working alongside people theyve known all their lives, now they are having to prove themselves in a crowd of strangers. so, quite understandably, qualities like magnetism and charisma suddenly come to seem really important. and sure enough, theself-help books change to meet these new needs and they start to have names like “how to win friends and influence people.“ and they feature as their role models really great salesmen. so thats the world were living in today. thats our cultural inheritance. 英语演讲竞赛经典优秀演讲稿篇五英语演讲竞赛即兴演讲篇六英语演讲大赛英文篇七good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! The poet said: spring flowers to the door pushed open.I said:Thanksgiving to the door pushed open the living. Students study the lives of our fellow students to encourageeach other, help each other, to jointly overcome difficulties and setbacks, the common taste of success and happiness learning, we should be grateful for every day and we accompanied the students. Thanksgiving-Fighting, Thanksgiving unlimited! Students, and Society Thanksgiving! Let us always to the life caring and full of love and love!英语演讲大赛英文篇八hello everyone!I have a dream that one day every vally shall be ealted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams. However,we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well asordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of f→.←uture. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go,life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.Thank you!。

全国英语比赛演讲稿篇1Everyone has a choice when he wakes up in the early morning. You can choose to be happy or sad all the day. But for me , I think I have responsibilities to fulfill all the day. So every morning my first job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have. Today I can complain because it is rainy or I can be grateful that the grass is watered for free.Today I can feel sad because I don’t have more money or I can be glad that it will prevent me from wasting.Today I can feel very down because of a bad cold or I can rejoice that I am still alive.Today I can lament over all that my parents didn’t give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.Today I can be disappionted for my lack of friends or I can be excited to discover new relationships.Today I can be exhausted because I have too much homework to do or I can feel honored because I’m getting closer to my dream in this way. What today will be like is just up to ourselves. We can get to choose what kind of day we will have! As teenagers,we stilll have much time to achieve our dreams, but the way to success is not so easy.If we choose to face it in a good mood and carry ontrying,I believe we can enjoy the whole process and get to the destination of success much more easily and happily. In fact, everything depends on your own attitude. If you choose to be happy and positive, you will enjoy your work and have a good time.If you choose to be sad and negative, nothing good will come to you and your life will be colourless. The world around us is so beautiful. There is no reason why we don’t enjoy it.So,everybody, let’s choose to be happy everyday!Ok,that’s all. Thanks for listening!全国英语比赛演讲稿篇2Im grateful that Ive been given this opportunity, at such a historic moment, to stand here as a spokesman of my generation and to take a serious look back at the past 15 years, a crucial period for every one of us and for this nation as well.Though it is only within my power to tell about my personal experience, and only a tiny fragment of it at that, it still represents, I believe, the root of a spirit which has been essential to me and to all the people bred by the past 15 years. In my elementary years, there was a little girl in the class who worked very hard but somehow could never do satisfactorily in her lessons. The teacher asked me to help her, and it was obvious that she expected a lot from me. but as a young boy, restless, thoughtless, I always tried to evade her so as to get more time to enjoy myself. One day before the final exam, she came up to me and said, Could you please explain this to me? I want very much to do better this time. I started explaining, and finished in a hurry.Pretending not to notice her still confused eyes, I ran off quickly. Nat surprisingly, she again did very badly in the exam. And two months later, at the beginning of the new semester, word came of her death of blood cancer. No one ever knew about the little task I failed to fulfill, but I couldnt forgive myself. I simply couldnt forget her eyes, which seem to be asking, Why didnt you do a little more to help me, when it was so easy for you? Why didnt you understand a little better the trust placed in you, so that I would not have to leave this world in such pain and regret?I was about eight or nine years old at that time, but in a way it was the very starting point of my life, for I began to understand the word responsibility and to learn to always do my duties faithfully and devotedly, for the implications of that sacred word has dawned on me: the mutual need and trust of people, the co-operation and inter-reliance which are the very foundation of human society.Later in my life, I continued to experience many failures. But never again did I feel that regret which struck me at the death of the girl, for it makes my heart satisfied to think that I have always done everything in my power to fulfill my responsibilities as best I can.全国英语比赛演讲稿篇3Adolescence and old age are the two stages in our lives when the need for friendship is crucial. In the former stage, older people are upset by feelings of uselessness and insignificance. In both instances, friends can make a dramatic difference. With close friends in their lives, people develop courage and positive attitudes. Teenagers have the moral support to assert their individuality; the elderly apporoach their advaanced years with optimism and an interest in life. These positive outlooks are vitalto cope successfully with the crises inherent in these two stages of life.Throughout life, we rely on small groups of people for love, admiration, respect, moral support, and help. Almost everyone has a network of friends: co-workers, neighbors, and schoolmates. While both men and women have such friends, evidence is accumulating that indicates men rarely make close friends. Men are sociable and frequently have numerous business acquaintances, golfbuddies, and so on. However, firendship does not merely involve a sharing of activities; it is a sharing of self on a very personal level. Customatily, men have shied froem close relationships in which they confide in others. By bottling up their emotions, men deprive themselves of a healthy outlet for their negativete feeling.Very cloes and trusted friends share confidences candidly. They feel secure that they will not be ridiculed or derided, and their confidences will be bonored. Betraying a trust is a very quick and painful way to terminate a friedship.Circumstance and people are constantly changing. Some friedships last forever ; others do not. Nerertheless, friendship is an essential ingredient in the making of a healthful, rewarding life.I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!Thank you!全国英语比赛演讲稿篇4once upon a time, a weenie ant was walking on his way. as he was walking, suddenly he felt the ground shaking terribly. he looked around with his paranoid eyes and saw an elephant walking right behind him. quickly, the little ant covered himself with dirt, but one leg was unfortunately left out. a sparrow saweverything, so she flew down with the purpose of teasing the ant: “hey, chicken! watch out your leg, it’s out!” the ant felt embarrassed at first but then calmly responded: “ shi…i am going to trip that elephant.”right now, i’m standing on this glamorous stage. but everything here reminds me of is a not so fun memory. around this time last year i was in nanjing competing in another speech contest. that was the first time for me to be in such a large event. of course the pressure i was under was immense too. after a sleepless and stressful night, i went onto that stage without the feeling in my legs. that speech turned out to be horrible. i don’t remember how i get down from there, but i do remember afterwards i just wanted to find a hole to hide in just like the ant in the story. back at my school, it took a long time for me to recover. thanks to all the help i got from my special friends. my confidence was restored. after rounds of giving speeches and answering tough questions, i am here today. from all that i’ve been through i’ve learned that a good future is based on a forgotten past, if i want my life to go on well i have to let go of my past failure. so today, with out fear, i am tripping my elephant again.全国英语比赛演讲稿篇5When I was still a freshman in college, one Scottish professor complained to me about being overcharged at a grocery store. He explained that many business owners in China would assume that white “foreigners” are rich and unable to understand Chinese. My amiable professor, unwilling to start a conflict, would always pay the undue price even though he was only meagerly paid by my university and was able to speak perfect Mandarin. As a student of humanities, I’m particularly intrigued by theramifications of cross-cultural encounters entailed by the new era. We have to bear in mind that whenever we talk about the new era, there is always an old era that keeps haunting us in various ways. Last year I went to the University of T okyo for a one-year exchange program. “I’ve never met any Chinese student who can talk and write like you do,” She said, “You must have been stayed in the States for some time, haven’t you?” It does seem that even a specialist in linguistics can’t escape the illusion bui lt up by the last generation of Chinese students: gauche and diffident, unable to articulate themselves in English.Nevertheless, such stereotypes are becoming a thing of the past. When professors around the globe meet with an increasing number of students from China with both language proficiency and academic competence, well-qualified students will no longer be a surprise. Moreover, with more people going abroad and enjoying firsthand encounters with different cultures, people like my grandma will no longer be subject to the fossilized, antiquated narrative of the past. The interesting thing is, after I told my grandma my experiences in Japan, how clean, safe andbeautiful their cities are and how nice, polite and considerate their people are, she gladly removed Japan from the list of least-want-to-visit foreign countries and put it instead to the most-want-to-visit one.Even the shop owner near my campus is now repenting for his peccadillo. But in order to make a brand-new attire or to build a modern silk road, we have to plunge the cocoons into hot water and obtain the silk despite the pain. So ladies and gentlemen, don’t be trapped by the old era. Transcend it, and embrace the new one.Thank you.全国英语比赛演讲稿篇6I still remember when I was in the senior high, one of my best friends was struggling to make a decision between going abroad for further study and staying in China, finally she chose the later, and the reason she provided was very simple:” studying abroad is a tough experience!” Most of us will probably agree with her because we’re always deliberately trying to avoid difficultiesand toughness society assigns us. Therefore, lots of the criticisms nowadays are based on the fact that young people are lack of faith which is shaped by the toughness they should have encountered in their age. As a generation brought up in the greenhouse; our parents sheltered nearly every waves and storms outside our ivory tower. A little tree with constant watering and care can never stand a violent wind, however, a tree on a dry land can live more vigorously even after a disaster because bad conditions develop its quality to grow its root much more deeper into the ground. Toughness shapes faith, and faith can turn obstacles to opportunities.Dear ladies and gentlemen, how many of you have ever given up your pursuit because you thought it was too tough to accomplish and the obstacles are insurmountable? When reflecting on ourselves, let’s make a comparison with a boy called Liu Wei, who won the championship of 20xx China’s Got Talent by playing piano with his feet. The 22-year old boy, whose arms were amputated because of an electric shock, finally overcame all the obstacles once hindered his way to pursue his dream and showed us a preternatural faith shaped by the toughness he has encountered. And finally, his misery turned out to be an opportunity for him to build his faith and won the recognitions from the public.Liu’s stirring deeds make us contemplate, if he didn’t lose his arms when he was young, he might be one of those bewildered people, hunting for a job to keep him a living in the social trend, furthermore, if Helen Keller wasn’t deprived of her sight and hearing, she might be deprived of her insight into the essence of life, if President Lincoln’s career was all smooth before he won the election, he might never have thatperseverance to bring him onto such a historical stage.Toughness shapes faith, and faith can turn obstacles into opportunities. That’s the reason why we should always be positive towards those so-called torturing events in life. We saw the faith shaped by Liu’s disability supported him to win applauds by millions of people around the world, providing the opportunities for him to shake off the shackles of his lost arms. Several weeks ago, we saw the faith shaped by the national disaster supported a squad-group of 50 Japanese workers voluntarily stick fast to their post, providing the living opportunities for others. Then, what do we see in us? Building faith is a life-long process, let’s bravely face the storms of life, face the toughness we once wanted to shun, face our original dreams which were later denied by ourselves. Let’s shape our faith by facing the challenges in life, and altering the obstacles into those precious opportunities that we’ll treasure in our whole life!全国英语比赛演讲稿篇7as quoted from “how to make steel”: the most precious thing to us is life. we can only live but once, thus, our life should be like this, when looking back, you don’t have to be regretful about those wasted time and shameful about the mediocre life. then till the end of his life, we can conclude that we have devoted our whole life to the most valuable thing in the world----dedication to human’s liberation. these sentences touch me most, and remind me to think about how we should live through our life, and what the most important thing in my life is! looking retrospectively about my past twenty years, lot’s of failures. but i know that the future is in my hand. there is one more important thing in my life is to cherish, cherish the person loves you andyou love.well, to be honest, i don’t think i was such kind of a filial daughter. because all i think about was to get away from then as far as possible, to free myself. i never have the feeling of homesick, even though when i stepped into my home and saw my lost-lost mother. in fact, my heart has been in self-approach.but, what should i do? it seems strange for me to say “ i love you” to them, because they don’t need those unpractical words, by the way, i’m not good at it. so i decided to concentrate myself on study to repay them, which seems to be passive. but today, one thing happened strengthened my feeling about them.i have sore throat all these days. i didn’t take it serious, because i think it will recover soon. however, the condition became worse. except headache, fever, runny nose, sore throat, slight tiredness, i was all right. to my disappointment, the latest clinic is being reconstructed, and i have no idea about other clinics. so i tended to my native friends for help, one was no answered, the other is shutdown. the first person hit upon my mind was my sister, who is far away from me. she did all she can to comfort me and give me suggestions. i didn’t realize it how touched i was as soon as i finished my conversation, my mother called me. i’ve been trying to ail myself, but without success, with large drops of tears rolling down upon my check. i can’t remember exactly what’s it saying on the other side, my helpless, lonely heart was saved eventually. in order not to let her worry, i turned off it in a hurry. how uselei was! with the helping of my roommate, i went to see the doctor. and now i’m better.this small incident teaches me that the most important in our life is to cherish the person you love and the person loves you.my friends, we can only live but once. why not cherish and repay those you’ve owned? don’t regret till we are old!全国英语比赛演讲稿篇8Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, let’s play a game. I am going to raise a question for you. If you have the correct answer in your mind before I disclose it, then you win. Listen carefully. What is the strongest belief in the world?I knew a man who used to tell me stories about his life. He was a poor man who was born during a war, grew up in war time and unfortunately was dragged to another war just after he got married. He originally thought he would die during that war. But as he always told me it was the strongest belief in the world that saved him from early death. In 1952, the man was 25 years old. Though he had suffered the horrors of wars, he finally made it through those hard times. He had a wonderful family, a beautiful wife and a lovely baby. Suddenly, the Korean War broke out. As a soldier, he and his wife were surely aware what the war could mean to them. When the man set off to the front l ine, his wife told him this, “I give you the strongest belief in the world and with this I know you will be back”. During a battle, the man was shot in the chest. His mate thought he would be another one added to the death list. The man told me that at the crucial moment he saw the sweet smile of his beloved wife and heard his baby crying “Papa, Papa”. Tenaciously clinging to the belief shared with his wife, he miraculously survived. This poor but lucky guy was my grandfather. He did come back after the war and would always tell about the strongest belief that kept him alive in those dark times. I was never good at making small talk with him so when he passed away 5 yearsago I never had the chance to ask him seriously what that strongest belief was. This ti me, he wasn’t coming back. So after that, I began searching for what my grandfather’s legacy really meant. What is the strongest belief in the world, ladies and gentlemen?Last year, I was an interpreter for a Korean businessman for several weeks. I noticed every night he would take a picture of his wife and daughter from his wallet. Carefully, he polished the picture as if he were touching their real faces gently. I asked how long he had been away from home. He sighed it was already a few months. But he emphasized that before he left home, his wife told him about the strongest belief in the world, which meant he would certainly be back. It was this phrase again-the strongest belief in the world. But this time, I realized what it really meant. The strongest belief is like a round-trip ticket, it may take you away at times, but it will always bring you back to where you started from. It was this ticket that brought my grandfather back to his wife. It was this ticket that sent the Korean businessman back to his family. And, it is on this ticket, where it reads: your destination-home. So, ladies and gentlemen, the strongest belief in the world is simply-home.Because of this belief, soldiers are willing to pick up guns. Because of this belief, sailors go on the longest voyage. Because of this belief, we have the courage to face any difficulty. Because we are sure tomorrow, whether success or failure, this belief will guide us home.全国英语比赛演讲稿篇9Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen,I’m very honored to stand here an d give you a short speech! my topic is Opportunities and Challenges.First,I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom,a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon,he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”Needless to say,one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2008 Olympic Games. Till now,we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines,public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more,Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question,”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”For us,I mean the Chinese youth,2008 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us.The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his handand say ing ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is,but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up,we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “forter” ----that is someone who will give fort to others. At the end of my speech,I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.全国英语比赛演讲稿篇10Hello, ladies and gentlemen,My name is Zhang Xinyu. Today, I'm going to talk about 'Growing Pains'.Different people have different pains from different places. We are now students, so I think we have pains mainly from studies.Time files. Two months ago, I came to a middle school student. But I have a pain. Homework is my growing pain. In the secondary school, we have more subjects to study. And homework is more than primary school. So I could’t adapt to the secondary school’s homework. I don’t have other time to do any sports or read any books.Growth brings us a lot of trouble, like a ripe to pay heavy taxes for ourselves. These days I think about, in fact, these problems can be completely avoided. If I learn English words by heart, I do maths problems quickly; if I am usually willing to try, I needn't have to spend more time. However, I think all pains will fade away in the end. I believe that I can adapt the school life step by step. Try my best. That’s all. Thank you for your attention.全国英语比赛演讲稿篇11Good morning, honorable judges,Recently, due to the increasing number of population, China has become a country with a big problem of balancing the relationship between housing price and people’s demand f or dwelling .The fact that housing prices is soaring everyday actually sparkles heated debates among both citizens and peasants. People multiply daily are complaining against the skyrocketing housing prices.Yesterday, I saw a TV program through Shenzhen channel concerning the soaring housing prices in our country. That program dispatched many journalists to have interviews with the public in which they are asked about what’re their opinions of the theme. Unexpectedly, most of the interviewees make complaints about the soaring housing price. They hold firmly to belief that such state of affairs is irrational and abnormal. The higher housing prices are, the less people who can afford it. Hence, this may conduce to exceedingly severe living problems. With no lodgings to live in, people begin to do something immoral, and more crimes will come forth, then, social instability ensue. Out of this point, some people may blame the government for not being able to command macroscopic regulation such as not cracking down on illegal purchasing approaches. While others hold the view that some special groups should takeresponsibility for the soaring housing prices problem. As some wealthy people or powerful personages are in p ursuit of being wealthier by owing more houses through proper or improper ways, the housing prices are forced to be raised. Constant complaints against soaring housing prices willcontinue unless that tendency drops off. After stating this universal complaint against soaring housing prices, I would like to come up with my viewpoints. Personally, I deem that this problem is really a hot potato. It depends on the governmental control and personal morality. However, in order to stop the housing prices from going up, I stick to the idea that the central government should make some effective laws , levy more taxes on house property just as western countries do to restrict rich people to purchasing and selling their houses. With the mutual efforts made by people and the government, there is no denying that the complaint against soaring housing prices will disappear one day.Thank you for all your listening!全国英语比赛演讲稿篇12Good morning, judges, teachers and follow students. Today I would like to share with you my great wish. but first, please allow me to take you back in time to the year 1955, the setting, Montgomery?ntg?m?ri , Alabamhe United States of America. It started out as an ordinary December afternoon. 42 year-old African American Rosa Parks boarde'b?:did] a bus and sat down in the front row. She thought over, the days and friends, her child at home, and how she enjoyed her simple life. She was content, but when she thought about the prejudice and discrimination that she had to face everyday, she felt a mends pain. How she wished to live in the world of tru e harmony “Ehen, ehen(咳嗽声)”, Rosa was startle to see a white man standing beside her. He was starring at her coldly, but she managed to smile and ask politely“May I help you sir?” “Get out of the seat!” the man snarledback. “Excuse me?” Rosa was shocked. What right did the man have to speak to her in such a crueltone? Just because her skin was dark colored and his was fair. And as equals, he certainly didn't have any right to order her out of the seat, or did he? Well, surprisingly, in 1955, lots like Rosa Parks did not have as many rights as whites. Due to racial discrimination, Rosa’s refusal to give up her seat to a white man, led to a call to the police, and she was arrested jailed and convictea violatinsegregatiolaws. But Rosa did not surrender to prejudice, instead she chose to fight discrimination and work alongside thousands of others for her wish to rid the world of racismAnd now, half a centurlater, we are still fighting for the same wish. Traces of discrimination have gradually disappeared, but prejudice lives on. I too, share the wish of Rosa Parks, but I too, wish that prejudice comes to an end. And my friends, prejudice will come to an end if we all work together as a whole.Let us not judge others by their skin color or appearance:[?'pir?ns], but rather by their content of their characte Let us learn to enjoy different cultures and then we’ll enjoy a world of diversity. I wish to look around on a lonely day, and see a blending of colors. Harmony, traveling among people of all skin colors.。

英语演讲比赛演讲稿(精选多篇)1. The Power of DreamsGood afternoon, esteemed judges, teachers, and fellow students. When we are young, we dream of becoming superheroes, astronauts, and rock stars. As we grow older, we may start to believe that those dreams are out of reach. But I am here to tell you that with determination and hard work, anything is possible. My dream is to become a doctor. It is a long and challenging path, but I am determined to see it through. I have spent countless hours studying, volunteering at hospitals, and working to save money for my education. But my dream is not just about me. It is about making a difference in the world. As a doctor, I will have the power to heal and comfort those who are suffering. I can help to make the world a better place, one patient at a time.I believe that we all have dreams that are just as powerful and important as mine. Maybe your dream is to be a teacher, a scientist, or a social worker. Whatever it is, I urge you to hold on to that dream and work towards it with everything you have.Because the power of dreams is not just in achieving them, but in the journey we take to get there. We learn and grow in ways we never thought possible, and we inspire others to pursue their own dreams. So I challenge you today, my fellow students, to think about your own dreams. What do you want to achieve in this life? And what are you doing right now to make it a reality?Believe in yourself, work hard, and never give up on your dreams. They have the power to change the world.Thank you.2. The Importance of Taking ActionGood afternoon, esteemed judges, teachers, and fellow students. We all have ideas and dreams for our lives, but there is a key ingredient that is vital in turning those ideas into reality: taking action. It is easy to get caught up in the safety of our comfort zones, and to feel paralyzed by the fear of failure or the unknown. But the truth is, nothing will ever be accomplished unless we take action. Think about some of the greatest innovators and leaders in history. They did not accomplish their feats by sitting on their hands and hoping for success. They took risks, they went outside of their comfort zones, and they pushed through any obstacles in their way.But taking action doesn’t mean that we hav e to suddenly jump off a cliff and hope for the best. It simply means that we take small, measurable steps towards our goals every day. It means that we are intentional about our priorities and are willing to do whatever ittakes to make progress. For example, if your dream is to become an artist, start by practicing your craft every day. Create a portfolio of your work, network with other artists, and put yourself out there. If you want to be a writer, start writing every day, and submit your work to publications or start a blog.Whatever it is, take steps towards it every day. Believe in yourself, surround yourself with positive influences, and never give up on your dreams. In conclusion, I encourage you to take action towards your goals and dreams today. You are capable of achieving great things if you are willing to take the first step.Thank you.3. The Power of KindnessGood afternoon, esteemed judges, teachers, and fellow students. In a world that often seems divided and angry, it can be easy to lose sight of the power of kindness. But I am here to remind you that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a huge impact in the world around us.Kindness is not just a feel-good sentiment; it is a powerful force that can transform lives. A simple smile or a kind word can make all the difference to someone who is struggling. It can brightentheir mood, their day, and even their entire outlook on life. But the benefits of kindness extend far beyond those who receive it. Showing kindness can improve our own mental health, reduce stress, and even boost our immune system. So I encourage you, my fellow students, to cultivate kindness in your daily lives. It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture; it can be as simple as holding the door open for someone, complimenting a classmate, or volunteering your time to help those in need. And kindness is not just for our friends and loved ones. It is for everyone, regardless of their background, beliefs, or opinions. We are all human, and we all deserve compassion and kindness. In conclusion, I urge you to make kindness a priority in your life. Through small and simple acts of kindness, we can create a ripple effect that spreads throughout our communities and makes the world a better place.Thank you.。

优秀英语比赛演讲稿范文(推荐12篇)优秀英语比赛演讲稿范文(推荐12篇)优秀英语比赛演讲稿范文篇1Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen,By the time we are born onto this land, our own Chinese story begins. Only when we put our stories together, can we discover something new.My mom was among the first generation in China to pick up a dual major, trade together with English. Her mom, my grandma, was a professor at the same college. And now, I am following my family’s footsteps, at the same university. I want to plish a dream that has been passed on for three generations. When grandma entered college, she was in the age of prime, but education wasn’t. It was an age when China had a literacy of merely over 50 percent; it was an age when one out of eight got enrolled by a university or college; it was an age when even the top-class universities in China were not recognized by the world. It was with the aspiration of changing education for the better that my grandma became a teacher, in pursuit of teaching students at home and learning more about the abroad. When my mother crossed the threshold of higher education into college, she was experiencing the tides of the Reform and Opening-up. Itwas an age when China was ready to embrace the world. With the demand for English talents staying high, she brought her talents to the field of international trade, with the hope of broadening her horizon and telling her international clients a Chinese story.30 years later, it is already a new era when I step into the classroom where my mom and my grandma studied. The ambience in the renovated classroom is urging me to embark on a new journey; yet on the bookshelf, the books passed on since my grandma’s age is reminding me of a dream that has never changed: ing a language scholar with a global vision, and be a good narrator of the Chinese story. It was the moment when I realized that there has been something unchanged in the new era: that is always equipping ourselves with the new ideas and keep in pace with the time which never waits. Only by bearing this virtue in our minds that has inherited by the Chinese people for 5,000 years, can we gain both the confidence and the petence in telling a good Chinese story to all.Tell the Chinese story to the Chinese people, for a new China with cultural confidence; tell the Chinese story to every global citizen, and together we build a munity of prosperity, peace, and a shared future. The story of my mom, my grandma and myself will always remind me of the mission of a language learner.I’m now crossing the threshold into a New Era, and now I fell I amready to tell a new Chinese story to new audience. Thank you very much! 优秀英语比赛演讲稿范文篇2whether there's afterlife, the answer has never been the same.the atheists deny after life, believing that our life is no more than from thecradle to the grave. they may care about their illustrious names after death;they may feel attached to the affection of their offspring, but they never laytheir hopes on their afterlife. they may also say that good will be rewardedwith good, and evil with evil, but they don't really believe any retribution intheir after life.however, in the religious world or among the superstitious people, thebelief in afterlife is very popular. they do not only believe in afterlife, butthousands of reincarnations as well. in the mysterious world, there are theparadise and the hell, the celestial beings and the gods, the buddha and thebodhisattvas.maybe they really believed it, or maybe they just wanted to make use ofpeople's veneration, the ancient emperors always declared that they were thereal dragons, the sons of god, while the royal ministers claimed to be thereincarnations of various constellations. but can the stars reincarnate?优秀英语比赛演讲稿范文篇3The struggle of the youth is the most beautiful奋斗的青春最美丽Friends, do you know what is meant by life? We won the right of holding the OlympicGames in 2023. After that, sports became a kind of game in cus.And there are many sports clubs in school. One day someone asked me:“are you gonna try one ofthose?”First I felt so wired. “Try to get into sports clubs? Are you kidding?” I said. And she goes: “Why not- It’s not hard at all, and sofascinating!” So I did tried one and I was so lucky to bee one of those who did orienteering. That is a fantastic sport! You need to run and find where to go just by using a map and a pass. It’s wasn’t popular in China at first. But when we heard it might bee a new event in 2023, we did practiced hard, and aimed to win the first Chion of orienteering in the world. When we practiced, there were a lot of troubles. You know, sometimes you need to go with your feet, but sometimes you need to go with your heart. In some situations, we faced the difficulties and problems. And we need to solve that through teamwork and strong willpower. So we can run faster, go higher and be stronger. That is what we say—Olympic spirit. Now the dream came true. I’m standing here with all my body and my heart put in sports. So do the people from all over the world to HERE at the Olympic Games. It’s the O lympic Games that make us together. We are here for a big day of sport; we are here for a dream of sports. Im very glad to be here to have a speech. The topic of my speech is the spirit of sports. As far as Im concerned, Im a sheer amateur of sports, being fascinated by swimming, running, mountaineering and so on. I couldnt agree with these perspectives from people who dislike sports, because youll feel greatly relieved after being drenched in sweats by sports. Sports can also help you forget your worries and stress, feeling unprecedented relaxed. As is known, a healthy body is extraordinarily crucial. Moreover physical exercise undeniably exerts a far-reaching influence on keeping ourselves fit. In taking part in out-door sports, we are closer to nature and can take in fresh air. The beauty of nature will keep us clear-headed, which is essential to our health. Besides sports can stimulate the circulation of blood and help to excrete the wastes in the body. It also can work up our appetite and activate or digestion. In a word, sports can give rise to a strong body for us.In contemporary society, with the increasing focus on health, people in ever expanding numbers join the trend of doing sports and begin to accept more and more sorts of fashionable sports, ranging from hiking to diving. From this phenomenon, we can see not only do sports play a significant role in health, but also lay a solidfoundation for human beings spirit.Taking hiking for example, its a blend of man and nature completely way to travel, and also a kind of sports that not only need your physical strength, but also need the patience, perseverance and persistence. At the beginning of climbing a mountain, youll be exciting with the fantastic scene of mountain, river and water. However, after a half way, youll fell so tired and exhausted. The climbing road becomes more and more steep. At that time, it requires your persistence and determination to conquer arduous situations. It just likes the life, the closer the success is, the more difficulties you must endure. From my aspects, the enchantment of sports is that its a challenge for the limit of your body --- both a sort of healthy and popular life style and an reflection of optimistic and positive attitude. Just like nowadays, the development of Olympic games is harmonious and prosperous, for the reason that its not only for shaping humans body, but more for pursuing a king of spirit --- faster, higher, stronger. This is my speech. Thank you.。

anser: thank ou. i remember, on m ver first da of m beloved universit, one of m professors said to me, from no on, ou ll be on a journe beteen ho ou think ou are and ho o an be.the ke is to allo ourself to ontinue the journe in the oean of the books. and i do learn a lot from books: i kno the geometr of eulid, logi ofaristotle, fable of aesop knon to hildren around the orld. ell, no offense to all those great authors of the books, but during m three ears at m universit, i do realize thatpersonal experiene through pratie means more to me. as e arein this global information age here both eonomi groth and individual opportunit are based on ideas, a mitment to providing all human beings the golden opportunit to develop themselves is so vital, not onl to the people here, but all around. as e are in this transformational age here muniations and mere are global, investments are mobile, tehnolog is almost magial, and the ambition for a better life is no universal, and i think this is h e are here toda. e ant toearn our personal experiene through pratiing our oral english, sharing our opinions of tourism and eolog ith all the judges and audiene here. and i think e are so luk to be alive atthis moment of the histor. never before have our nationenjoed so muh prospertit and so muh soial progress ith solittle internal rises.and never before have our oung people had so muh great opportunit to pratie ourselves and, therefore, have a profound obligation to build a more perfet nation of our anestor s dream. and i think our government had provided us oung people ith the tools and ondition to buildthe future of our dreams. even if e kno some rules, some regulations, or experienes from our books, e still simplannot graft it onto toda s busier, more impersonal, pliated orld. instead, our hallenges is to arrive at a onsensus values and mon vision of hat e an do toda individuall andolletivel to build a strong famil and strong munit, and above all, make the orld a better plae for us to live. thank ou ver muh. ontestant#18, in our speeh, ou talked about eotourism. ould ou explain to us differene beteen ordinar tourists and e-tourists, or eotourists?anser: thank ou for our question. and i think the ke issue is the differenes beteen our XXreness. fot example, if ou ant to go to a plae to have a trip, enjo our trip. and i think before ou get on board, get on the bus, ou an have the XXreness that i m not a polluter, but an environment keeper.e re not go to all those seni spots to estro all those beautiful senes but e to appreiate the mother nature giving us so muh things. thank ou ver muh.ontestant #18,no that information tehnolog is being more and more aessible to people in hina, do ou think books ill bee less and less important?anser: ell, i think, mabe, umm, i don t think that all those ehnologies an replae the importane of books. e re in our modern village here so man ne industries it industries, tourism ndustries rop up ever da and this brave ne orld seem a little bit dehumanizing and inhospitable to a lot ofpeople.the orld an no longer be defined as a plae on a map or list or people in organizations but i think the true value, the essene of our village remains the same.it is the netorkof values relationship that support our lives and e an learn those things from our books beause books is the ver first beginning stage of hat e learn. thank ou ver muh.i d like to ask ou a question about our preparedspeeh, please. ou mention that the un has delated the ear 201X, i think it as, the ear of eotourism. do ou think that suh gestures reall serve a purpose? anser: and i think one of m teahers said to me, hen i prepared m prepared speeh, and he tells me that if e pa more attention to omething like environmental protetion or eotourism, it is more, it isbetter for us to bear in mind e should learn something in our hearts, e should have something about the XXreness about hoto pa more respet to our environment, not to talk about something orall but to bear something in our hearts. folloour hearts, our environment an be better.thank ou ver muh.第五篇:全国大学生英语演讲比赛演讲稿全国大学生英语演讲比赛演讲稿faing this audiene on the stage, i have the exitingfeeling of partiipating in the marh of histor, for hat e are faing toda is more than a mere petition or ontest. it is anassembl of some of hina's most talented and motivated people, representatives of a ounger generation that are preparing themselves for the ing of a ne entur.i'm grateful that i've been given this opportunit, at suh a histori moment, to stand here as a spokesman of mgeneration and to take a serious look bak at the past 15 ears, a ruial period for ever one of us and for this nation as ell.though it is onl ithin m poer to tell about m personal experiene, and onl a tin fragment of it at that, it still represents, i believe, the root of a spirit hih has been essential to me and to all the people bred b the past 15 ears.in m elementar ears, there as a little girl in the lassho orked ver hard but someho ould never do satisfatoril inher lessons.the teaher asked me to help her, and it as obvious that she expeted a lot from me. but as a oung bo, restless, thoughtless, i alas tried to evade her so as to get more time to enjo mself.one da before the final exam, she ame up to me and said, ould ou please explain this to me? i ant ver muh to do better this time. i started explaining, and finished in a hurr. pretending not to notie her still onfused ees, i ran off quikl. nat surprisingl, she again did ver badl in the exam. and to months later, at the beginning of the ne semester, ordame of her death of blood aner. no one ever kne about the little task i failed to fulfill, but i ouldn't forgive mself.i simpl ouldn't forget her ees, hih seem to be asking, hdidn't ou do a little more to help me, hen it as so eas for ou? h didn't ou understand a little better the trust plaed in ou, so that i ould not have to leave this orld in suh pain and regret?i as about eight or nine ears old at that time, but in a a itas the ver starting point of m life, for i began to understand the ord responsibilit and to learn to alas do m duties faithfull and devotedl, for the impliations of that sared ord has daned on me: the mutual need and trust of people, the o-operation and inter-reliane hih are the ver foundation of human soiet.later in m life, i ontinued to experiene man failures. but never again did i feel that regret hih struk me at the death of the girl, for it makes m heart satisfied to think that i have alas done everthing in m poer to fulfill m responsibilities as best i an.as i gre up, hanged and improved b this inident and man other similar ones, i began to pereive the hanges taking plae around me and to find that soiet, in a a, as in its formativeears like mself. ne buildings, ne modities and ne fashions appear ever da.ne ideas, ne information, ne tehnologies. people an talk ith eah other from an orner of the earth in a matter of seonds. soiet is being more petitive.ords like individualit and reativit are getting more emphasis and more people are rearded for their hard ork and efforts. suh is the era in hih this generation ,gros and matures.suh is the era in hih this generation ill take over the nation from our fathers and learn to run it. et in the meantime, man problems still exist.e learn that rimes take plae in broad dalight ith rods of people looking on and not assisting. e hear that there are still about 1 million hildren in this ountr ho an't even afford to go to elementar shools hile enormous sums of mone are being squandered XX on dinner parties and luxur ars.e bu shodd mediines, or merel orthless junk in the name of mediines, that aggravate, rather than alleviate our diseases sine mone, man people believe, is the most important thing in the orld that must be made, even at the expense of moralit and responsibilit.suh an era, therefore, determines that e are a generation ith a keener sense of petition and effiien and a greater readiness to think ritiall and at reativel.suh an era, furthermore, demands, that e are a generation ith a lear pereption of our historial responsibilit and an aggressive ill to take ation and solve the problems. histor has long been preparing these qualities in this generation and it is no alling us forard to give testimon to our patriotism and heroism toards this nation and all humanit.standing here no, i think of the past 15 ears of m life as an ordinar student. probabl i'll be an ordinar man for the rest of m life. but this doesn't disourage me an, for i kno that ith m sense of responsibilit and devoted efforts to alas strive, for the best, it's going to be a meaningful and orthhile life that i ill be living.standing here no, i think of the past 15 ears of this nation, hih has ahieved greatness that inspired millions of people of m age, most of hom ill not attain fame or prestige and onl a fe of hom ill be remembered b posterit. but that doesn't disourage us an, beause e kno that the orld athes, the orld listens, the orld is aiting to see here this nation ill be heading in a time of rih opportunities and fiere petition.i an't ever forget that little girl in m lass ho ouldn't had the same opportunities as an of us here to enjo a onderful life toda and a hopeful orld tomorro.it is the sared responsibilit of this generation to fae up to the hallenges of the ne entur and to devote our seat and blood, our isdom and passion, to the histori ause of making this nation a greater and happier land for ever one of us.e are not going to evade that responsibilit. e are going to let people don. and people, far and near, ill hear of us. frost ill be brought to their bakbones and tears to their ees hen our stories are told and retold, so let us go forth, m fello members of this lukil hosen generation, and meet the ne entur in vitor and glor.
