Section A

In the long history of mankind, the destinies of countries have never been so closely linked as they are today. Given the global nature of issues threatening the survival and development of mankind such as climate warming, environmental degradation, resources constraints, frequent outbreaks of diseases and natural disasters and the spread of terrorism, and in the face of the intertwining challenges of finance, energy, and food, no country can expect to stay away from the difficulties or handle the problems all by itself. The ongoing financial volatility, in particular, has affected many countries and its impact is likely to become more serious. To tackle these challenges, we must all make concerted efforts.

So long as people of all countries, especially their leaders, can do away with hostility, estrangement and prejudice, treat each other with sincerity and an open mind, mankind will overcome all difficulties and embrace and better future.

Museums of the second-generation are those of industrial technology, which demonstrate the fruits of industrial civilization at various stages.Despite their contribution to the dissemination of scientific knowledge, these museums treat the visitors as passive onlookers.

The third-generation museums in the world are ones full of completely new concepts. Here, the visitors can operate with their own hands and observe with their own eyes., whereby they can come closer to the advanced science and technology and explore their mystery.

Wearing clothes of their own design,they stepped onto the red carpet to the accompaniment of disco music. Though they had had little professional training, they walked naturally, smiling shyly and yet courageously. They gradually calmed down, restored self-confidence, and began to step in harmony with the music, and became conscious of the audience.Among the audience were mostly their husbands and children, who were slightly surprised and smiled back and also felt a bit shy. The people on and in front of stage were more or less shy. Never before had they dreamed of seeing one another on an occasion like this, so it seemed as if they were strangers. At first they were somewhat ahamed to exchange glances. Then gradually they restored their courage as if feeling relieved. The women began to show themselves off to their husbands and children, being unable to suppress their past youthful vanity and desire to conquer them once again, and their husbands and children were taken aback.
