Breakingd Foot不久之后就被称做是B-Boy。再过不久又被称为Breaking那个时候还没有
头转、风车或是背转这些动作而现在就称那时Breaking为Old - School (old-style Breaking)。Old School 只有地板的动作或称之为地板摇滚换句话说那时的Old - School 比现在的Breaking要复杂， 现在的Breaking或许有头转和背转，但是所谓的头转，指的就是单单的一个头转，背转就是单单一 个背转，所有东西都是分开一个一个的动作，没有连贯性。但是地板摇滚的动作却包含了相当复杂 的腿部动作，而且速度是很快的。
footwork顾名思义是脚部动作，通过双手或单手支撑甚至不支撑，同时脚不断点地围绕中心不断转圈，
有一步二步三步四步五步六步等等步法。
freezeFreeze字面上的意思是冻结，我个人觉得那就是Freeze的真谛。冻结是给人一种很迅速的感觉，
必须要把动作在刹那间定住，那才是最好的Freeze。Freeze是最能给观众震撼的招数，如果你能创 出大家没见过的Freeze，那比PowerMove还能给人们留下深刻印象。Freeze更难在Freeze Combo(Freeze与Freeze之间的连贯动作)，要做到干净利落，还能抓住节拍，那才是至高境界！
什么是BREAKING？
很多人第一次看到Breaking的时候都会忍不住会惊叹：这些家伙到底 是从哪里学到这样奇怪的舞蹈？！各种快速的步伐，各种高难度的倒 立姿势，令人匪夷所思的身体旋转构成了Breaking在大众心中的形 象。 Breaking，又称Breakdance、b-boying，中文翻译为地板霹雳舞， 是一种难度较高的街舞舞步，比较重视舞步技巧性。1970年代起源 于美国纽约市的布朗克斯区。 Breaking以具有个人特色的动作为主。对跳地板舞的人称呼为B-boy 或B-girl (beat boy)、(breaking boy)。

Locking 是在约70年代 时位于洛杉矶的一家夜 总会里Don Campbell发 明了这种即兴发挥的独 特舞步。Locking 就是 身体做一些很快的动作， 然后在某一个动作时候 突然停住 ，最主要的关 键在于手部的旋转与定 住。 锁舞是 old school 的一支， 比 breakin' 还 早出现， 发源于美国洛 杉矶， 是种非常强调干 净俐落的舞蹈， 因为舞 蹈中 锁 的手势， 和突 然 定格 的舞感类似锁 的功用，所以称为锁舞。
