塞缪尔·厄尔曼的《青春》是一篇典型的散文诗。在这篇 小美文中,作者通过对人生的观察,给青春以不同的阐释, 给人们提供了一个新的视角来观察相同事物。
《青春》一文仅5个自然段,共248字。每一段叙述的内容 各不相同,但是各段之间又紧密相连。这正符合散文诗的特 点:语言要求浓缩、跳跃;句与句之间,尤其是段与段之间 往往是似断实连的关系,这就留下较多的可供读者想象的空 白美。
散文诗 散文诗为兼有散文和诗的特点的一种文学体裁。篇幅短小, 有诗的意境,但像散文一样,不分行,不押韵。 散文诗一般表现作者基于社会和人生背景的小感触,注意 描写客观生活触发下思想情感的波动和片断。
散文诗的三大特征:作者真情实感的流露,篇幅短小精悍, 哲理深刻。 1. 散文诗是美的载体,从它小小的规模中能看到美的本形, 在它那短短的尺寸里孕育着完美的生命。散文诗所抒发的 情感是诗人发自肺腑的真情,因而散文诗感人至深,催人 深思。

3.晚年听力丧失,被迫退休,然后有更多时间搞创作。他写了 大量的书信,散文,诗歌。主题包含家庭、爱情、宗教、自 然等方面的题材。 4. 1917年,77岁高龄的厄尔曼写出了简单明快,隽永深刻 的散文诗《青春》。《青春》全文不足250字,短小精悍, 隽永明快,寓意深刻,扣人心弦。 5. 1924年在伯明翰市去世。但生前从未料到这么多将军、 名人、企业家以及世界各地的人喜爱这篇短小精悍的文章。 6.1994年为了纪念他,伯明翰的阿拉巴马大学和美日阿拉巴 马协会在他的生前寓所开设厄尔曼图书馆
