Juli wants to make friends with Bryce, but Bryce tries to get rid of her by all means.
Juli has two special interests : climbing trees and raising chicken. But Bryce thinks it is silly and ridiculous.
Above all, She can think independently and make judgment about a person by his or her mind instead of appearance. For example ,when Bryce insults her interests ,she began to doubt whether his dazzling eyes are as empty as his mind.
When Juli’s favorite sycamore tree was cut down ,she was really sad. Then her father drew one for her and told her never forget the feeling on the tree. Her father can well understand her.

2.The atmosphere in Juli’s family is pretty harmonious . They are poor , but they love each other deeply. After Juli’s parents quarreled about her uncle in front of Juli , they went to comfort Juli respectively. Her mother told her how she loved her father and Juli is her best blessing from God. And her father told her something about her uncle. I think this is why Juli always took pride in her family and never felt she lacked anything . And it also contributes to her good personality.

Begin in 1957,when Juli was in Grade 2 in a primary school Bryce’s family moved to a house in the same neighborhood as Juli’s family and Bryce became Juli’s classmate.

My thoughts:
1.Juli is my favorite character . She is enthusiastic about nature and life .She often thinks about them and has her own understanding. She knows how to enjoy life. Another thing is that she is brave and she always expresses her thoughts and feelings directly whenever she is happy or angry .
