(2) lose v. ( lost, lost) 丢失，错过，失败lost adj. 迷路的，丢失的

(1) insist vt.坚持，坚持认为insist that + 宾语从句。

e.g. I insist he is correct. A, that B, on C, on that D, which

insist on/upon sth. / doing sth. 坚持（做）某事；insist 后不能接动词不定式

insist on one’s ideas / opinions

e.g. She insisted on carrying on research although she was ill.

He insisted on me his pictures. 他坚持要把他的照片给我看。

(2) be based upon 意为“以……为基础”，句中based upon 是过去分词短语作后置定语。

e.g. The novel is based upon what has happened in the past ten years.
