1.Do you send gifts to others quite often?2.What kind of gifts are popular in your country?3.Are there some special gifts in your country?4.What are the difference between the gifts sent nowadays and those sent in the past?5.If you have a child, when will you give presents to him/her?6.How do you feel about receiving an expensive gift?Sample answers:1.Not really. Only when someone invite to their home or attend some kind of celebrations will I send gifts to others. For example, when one of my friends invited me to attend her wedding, I sent her a microwave oven as a gift. And usually, Chinese prefer to give red envelope with 500 RMB to 2000 RMB to the inviters instead of sending gifts. In this way, the inviters can use this amount of money to purchase whatever she/he likes.2.For a common visit, we tend to send fruits, cookies and the like to the host. You know, most of people like to eat this kind of things. And we don’t want to send something the host doesn’t like. So food is always one of the best choices. For some important occasions like wedding ceremonies, we prefer to send household appliances as gifts. To conclude, Chinese are more willing to send necessities as gifts.3.From my point of view, red envelope seems to be one ofthe special gifts in China. Every time when we celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year, the elder would give red envelope to kids. Usually, within these red envelopes is money, ranging from 100 RMB to several thousand RMB. This money is called lucky money. The elder hopes the luck money can bless the kids have a lucky, happy new year.4.In the past, like my parents, usually sent health products to the old as gifts. In their view, these products did good to people’s health. However, notion of health has undergone great changes. People start to recognize that most of these products exaggerated their pesticide effect and some of them even have many side effects. As a result, nowadays people send other kinds of things such as fruits, cookies or household appliances as gifts.5.I would give presents to him/her when he she celebrate for birthdays or for some other important events. For example, when he/she graduates from university, I would send him/her a business suit as presents. You know, after graduation, he/she has to look for a job and take lots of interviews. A business suit is necessary for interviews, which might leave employers good impression of the interviewers.6.It depends on who send me this expensive gift. If one of my friend, not a close friend, send me an expensive gift, I would feel a little bit nervous. And maybe later, I would send something back. However, if my parents send me a MacBook, I will not feel a great burden. You know, in Chinese cultural, how much expensive gifts you send depends on the relationship between you and the receiver. Too much or too less are both improper. 篇二:1.Is it good for children to take part in the teamwork?2.Is a leader important for teamwork?3.What are the disadvantages of teamwork?4.Which one do you prefer, project-based teamwork or function based teamwork?5.What is necessary for people to be good team members (not leader)?Sample answers:1.Yeah, I think so. Children cannot always work alone and many tasks and projects can only be accomplished through collective efforts. Also, in the future, no matter in their college life or in their career, they may be required to work in a team. But, the problem is that children tend to be more self-centered than adults and when they are very little kids, they usually do not know how to cooperate with others. So, if chances are provided, children should take part in the teamwork, trying to help each other, figure out solutions and improve their cooperation skills.2.Yeah, of course. There should be someone to make final decisions and lead the team in the right directions. Although teamwork does have the advantages like less individual responsibility, less workload and so on, it does have the problems that some thoughts might conflict with others. The whole project may reach a plateau. If a leader is elected, he/she can make decision to take whose ideas, eliminating the conflicts.3.In teamwork, it is hard to allocate the tasks equally to everyone. Some team members may feel unfair. For example, to writing a research paper, a team member may be responsible for collecting related information; another team member may be assigned to do some experiments. It is likely that collecting information is very difficult, while finishing the experiments is comparatively easier. So the one who searches for information may feel unfair.4.I prefer function based teamwork. You know, in a function based team, everyone’s duty is clear-cut. Many redundancy can be reduced in this way. For example, in the app team, there might be 2 Android engineers, 2 IOS engineers, 1 project manager and 1 editor. According the titles of these positions, you can see that this is a function based team. I think less redundancy means higher working efficiency.5.I think a good team member should have strong sense of responsibility. He or she has to make every efforts to accomplish his or her duties with high efficiency and quality. Thus, the leader doesn’t need to spend too much time on supervising his/her team members, taking more time to make important decisions and formulate blueprint for new projects. Thus, the whole team’s performance can be greatly enhanced.篇三:1.What are the advantages of sharing?2.How do parents teach their children to share with others?Why?3.Should people share food in parties?Why?4.Should people share transportation tools?5.What methods should be taken to enable people to share their transportation tools in cities?6.Would you mind sharing something in public places?7.Do people share their houses/ homes?8.If you have to share a room with others, do you think a clear rule is needed?Sample answers:1.Sharing will increase efficiencies and stimulate productivity. For example, what I want to do in the next working schedule is already accomplished by another employee in the otherdepartment. Under such circumstance, if the person is willing to share the documents with me, I would be able to directly edit the documents and add more contents based on the original ones.2.Many methods can be adopted for parents to teach their kids to share with others. One most useful approach is by setting examples. Parents can share good news or things with their own friends, colleagues and other children, and their toddlers will imitate what they have seen and learn to share. Also, by tasting the sweetness of being appreciated, kids will form the habit of doing so.3.Definitely yes, it is a necessity for people to share foods on the occasion of parties, because the practice allows them to associate, make new friends and get business done. It is awkward and abrupt to directly introduce oneself in front of a group of strangers, so food might be the appropriate conversation start. The question of “do you also want to have the biscuit?” will help establish a common ground and help strangers approach each other.4.Of course, yes, it is beneficial for commuters to share one private car. It is especially environmentally friendly because there will be less cars with more people on the road, so traffic jams will be less severe and the exhaust emitted by waiting cars will be dramatically reduced. Besides, people in the same car could share what is happening recently and strengthen their bonds.【2017年雅思考试口语新题及范文参考】。

2017年雅思口语Part1话题解析:Leisuretime

2017年雅思口语Part1话题解析:Leisuretime

Leisure time/relax Spark my interest 激发我的兴趣 Be filled with 充满 Highly-intensive ⾼强度的 From all directions 来⾃各⽅⾯的 Endless bills ⽆尽的账单 Mortgage 贷款 Assertive boss 独断的⽼板 Manipulative colleagues 好指使⼈的同事 Demanding tasks 苛刻的任务 Overtime workload 超时的⼯作量 Deprived 被剥削的 self-adjustment ⾃我调节 Maintain a balanced state of mind/ lifestyle 保持平衡的⼼态/ ⽣活⽅式 Handle pressure smoothly 平和地处理压⼒ 1. What do you do in your spare time? Just do whatever sparks my interest, liking shopping and watching a movie. Sometimes I will hang out with the family, laughing with friends, listening to music and bother my sister/brother/pet. 2. What do you do to relax? I would like to listen to music to relax myself, especially soft music. Besides, playing video games with my buddies, going cycling and traveling are also good ways to get myself relaxed when I have too much stress. 3. How do you usually spend your evenings? Actually I have to spend all my evenings on my homework, but sometimes I finish it before getting home, so I have plenty of time to watch TV and play on-line games with friends I knew on the Internet. 4. What do you usually do after work/ after classes? The biggest part of my after-class-time is always taken by homework. But things get different when weekends come, when I would have fun in my various family activities, including watching TV, going to parks and driving around the city, and sometimes out of the city. 5. Do you prefer to stay at home in the evenings or do you prefer to go out? I prefer staying at home because actually nothing outside could arouse my interest in the evenings. People go to Karaoke, parties, movies but none of them attracts me, because I think evenings are to be spent with families. 6. Do you think modern lifestyles give people enough time for leisure? No, not really. Life is filled with stress. Modern people live a highly-intensive lifestyle. There are stress and pressures from all directions such as endless bills and mortgage waiting to be paid. What’s more, they have to deal with assertive boss, manipulative colleagues, demanding task, and overtime workload. In my opinion, they are deprived and they don’t even have time to think about relax. 7. Do you think people today have more time to relax than in the past? No, I don’t think so. The world runs faster every day, and so are we. New technologies and modern economic system are created to bring us infinite materials and wealth, but at the same time we are spending more and more time seeking for them, forgetting to relax. 8. Do you think it is important for people to have leisure time? Yes, I think so. People should find a balance between their work and life. But today they seem to care more about work. Working and studying overtime are nowadays usual to most people. But we should really give more attention to our families, friends and ourselves. We live for ourselves after all, not for our bosses. 9. Do old people and young people spend their leisure time in the same way? I bet to differ. As I know, old people have much more leisure time than the young and they can take their time to walk around the neighborhood, play Mah-jongg o Chinese chess, o go dancing. Buy young people doesn’t, they have to make the most of their leisure time, so they often find something interesting to do such as Karaoke, video games and sports. 10. What do you think are the good points and the possible bad points about having leisure time? Good things of having leisure time are that we can relax ourselves to get our energy back for the next busy day, and it is a hope for our endless work. But is might also sometimes cool down our enthusiasm for work and break its continuity, resulting in a reduce of the efficiency. 11. How do people in your country spend their holidays? Decades ago people in my country like outdoor activities such us playing football and basketball. They organized a picnic in the suburban areas or go hiking. But now they refer some indoor activities such as going to the karaoke or juststaying at home watching movies, and playing computer games. 12. Do you like to travel in your holidays? I love to travel in holidays, especially to places I have never been to before, such as Thailand, Holland and so on. I really enjoy travelling because when you have a change of scenery and a change of environment for a while, it helps you to relax and is good for your health. 13. If you had a child, what leisure places would you go to with your child? I would like to take my kids to Canada, specifically British Columbia, Vancouver and areas in that region, I have been to Niagara and I have seen some of the great lakes but for me the scenery of the west coast is amazing, the mountains, rivers lakes and trees are breathtaking, the people are really friendly, with a simple and slower way of life, how could you not enjoy being there.。

But now it has become one of my hobbies and I’m actually thinking of learning more about it. I had no idea what I can do with my iPhone until I learned to make use of its wonderful camera as well as some miracle apps. Unlike some people, I indeed want my photos to look unique, lively and a little bit professional.VocabularyTo make use of (v) to use someone or something for a particular purpose, especially one that brings a benefit to you2. Do you prefer to take photos yourself or to have other people take your photos? Why?It would be way more comfortable taking photos myself, as I can see crystal-clear how ridiculous my face expression looks like or if there’s something on my hair or stuck between my teeth. And in case it’s a scenery photo, I can apply the techniques I’ve learned to produce stunning photos.VocabularyCrystal-clear (adj) absolutely clear3. How long have you liked taking photographs?Just recently. As a final year student, I no longer can spend hours on drawing, reading or singing. Only photography which is way more instant suits me now to document my life. And as I enjoy my life on this campus, for example the road I walk to school everyday, the sunset, the rainbow, the trees, photography is the best way to store my memories.VocabularyDocument one’s life (expression) record the detail of one’s life4. In what situations do you take photographs? As I’ve mentioned, I snap a photo of anything that catches my eyes when I’m in a good mood. So I take photos when my friends and I hang out or when I participate in social activities of the university and meet amazing people. However, when it comes to practicing for professional photography, I prefer taking photos of scenery and foods.VocabularyIn a good mood (idiom) a cheerful, well-disposed state of mindWhen it comes to Sth/V-ing (adv) as for something; speaking about something 5. What kind of photos do you like to take? Why?Food and scenery are definitely my inspiration. I just can’t sit still when beautiful breakfasts and stunning landscape keep appearing on my Instagram everyday. What is more, it is my natural instinct that helps me to go find the simple uniqueness of my university, namely the sunset, the lake, the trees and flowers and show people how beautiful my university is. However, I’m not good at taking photos of people so activities or street-life is not my style.VocabularySit still (idiom) to remain seatedNatural instinct (collocation) the way people or animals naturally react or behave, without having to think or learn6. How (why) did you become interested in photography? The situation was quite all of a sudden. I posted some scenery photos I took on the spur of the moment on Instagram and received lots of compliments, even from those whom I’m not following. Then I realized I should develop this skill, you know, should take it seriously and keep up the good work. And the more I learn about it, the more passionate I become.VocabularyOn the spur of the moment (idiom) do without planning, suddenlyAll of a sudden (idiom) suddenlyTo keep up the good work (phrase) used to encourage SO for continuing what they are doing well7. How often do you take photographs? Not too often I must say. Since I really don’t like posting boring photos with the same object all the time, so timing is everything. I believe my guts will know exactly when and how I should flick to produce high-quality photos.VocabularyGuts (n) to be used in reference to a feeling or reaction based on an instinctive emotional response rather than considered thought.8. Do you prefer to take pictures of people or of scenery?I think I’m gonna go for taking scenery photos. As a beginner, the knowledge of human facial expression, the part that needs focus, the harmonization betweenthem and their surroundings are a bit too advanced for me. I can’t really make the person in my photo become lively as I do with the scenery. Besides, looking at the beauty of nature and capturing it is kind of mind-purifying to me and is a good way to escape from the artificial world. So yeah, scenery is safer and more enjoyable. VocabularyMind-purifying (adj) make your mind naturally pure, free from negative thoughts 9. Who do you take photos of?Although I’m not good at taking photos of people, I do take selfies with new friends whom I meet when I participate in social activities. To me it’s more like a reminder or something to look back, reminding me that yeah, this time last year I went out, I met amazing people and had lots of fun.VocabularyTo look back (v) to think about a time or event in the past10. How do you keep your photos?Printing the photos out, making an album or sticking them on the wall for decoration sound so common and also interesting. But I don’t think photos are worth that much time and budget, unless what I captured is apparently important to me, otherwise I only keep them in my iPhone.11. Do you keep your photographs on your computer?I don’t think I need to do so. Firstly, because my memory is somewhat similar to goldfish memory, storing in different devices would drive me crazy. Plus, my iPhone has large memory storage so I think I won’t need computer for storage. VocabularyGoldfish memory (n) SO who quickly forgets things12. Are there any photos on the walls of your house?Since my parents love decorating our house, putting photos nicely on the walls of my house is an essential part of their decoration style. Some photos go with frame or plastic cover, some are stuck directly onto the wall in heart-shaped. However, it’s quite ridiculous for me to see myself grinning everywhere in the house so I told them to let me decorate my room on my own.VocabularyTo see one’s-self doing Sth (n) to have an eye on SO doing SthOn my own (adv) do Sth alone13. Do you frame (or have you framed) any of your photos?Although I don’t usually print my photos out, I think I would store some photos of me with my high school friends or me with my family. And framing helps preventing scratching and is good for long-term storage, so this is probably a good alternative beside albums.14. Do you prefer to send postcards to people or to send photos that you took yourself? (Why?)Firstly, the postcards are made of thicker paper, which makes it way more convenient for long-term storage as well as decoration. Secondly, the process of sending and receiving postcards appeared to be simpler and faster compared to photos. For those reasons I think I probably go with sending postcards.小编给你一个美联英语官方试听课申请链接:/test/waijiao.aspx?tid=16-73675-0。

雅思口语part1新题之:Rainy days 变题不慌!Rainy days题目参考答案:1. Do you like rainy days? No, not that much to be honest with you, because I mean, when it rains, you can’t really do anything outside, unless you don’t mind getting wet of course! And also for me, I find it a bit of a hassle carrying an umbrella around with me everywhere.I find it a bit of a hassle = I find it an effort = 我觉得有点麻烦2. What do you do on rainy days?Well it kind of depends really, because there are some things I have to do regardless of whether it’s raining or not, you know, like going to lectures and stuff. But when I’m free, I tend to just chill out at home if it’s raining. So for example, I might read a book or watch TV, and I’ll only leave the flat if I absolutely have to!Chill out = relax (used in spoken English)3. Do you think rain is good?Yeah, for sure. I mean, for one thing, it helps get rid of all the dust inthe air. And secondly, it’s good for the natural environment. You know, it helps all the plants and vegetation stay alive. So although I don’t particularly like the rain, I understand the need for it!Vegetation -植物4. Does rain ever affect transportation in your hometown?Yeah, most definitely, because you know, whenever it rains, the traffic always seems to get a lot more congested. I’m not exactly sure why, but I guess it’s probably because cars have to drive slower in the rain.Congested = 拥挤的,堵塞的5. Is there any part of China where it doesnt rain much?Yeah, I’d say there are quite a few areas of the country where it doesn’t rain a lot, the most obvious place being the Gobi Desert, which I guess never gets any rain, what with being a desert and all! And also I’d say the north of China, in general, doesn’t really get all that much rain, at least compared with the south, so a lot of that part of the country is quite dry and arid. The Gobi Desert戈壁What with it being a desert and all – 究竟是个沙漠!On the whole – 基本上,总的来说Arid – 干燥另一版本答案:To tell you the truth, I have no clue about this. I do not give a hoot about geography and the amount of rain in my country. I think the most rainfall is in the North where there is an intricate system ofrivers.6. What effects can a shortage of rain have on people’s lives?Well thinking about it, I suppose one of the biggest affects it can have is on our food supply, because things like fruit and vegetables need water to grow, and rain provides the water. So you know I think it’s pretty safe to say that a shortage of rain is likely to result in a decrease in our overall food supply.I think it’s pretty safe to say = 我觉得可以说……Other effects:It could result in a lack of drinking waterIt could result in the government controlling how much water we can use. For example, I think I’m right in saying that in some parts of Australia, people can only spend a certain amount of time each day having a shower!7. Can you remember a time when it rained particularly heavily in your hometown?Yeah I can. About a year or so ago, we had, like, several days of torrential rain, almost non-stop, and so the whole of my neighbourhood got flooded. You know, the water was like, up to my knees, and so traffic came to a complete standstill. So yeah, that was probably the worst time I can remember.About a year or so ago – 一年前左右Like -(表示思索下面的话或用作口头禅) Some people say like when they are thinking about what to say next or because it has becometheir habit to say it. Torrential rain – 暴雨The traffic came to a (complete) standstill 交通瘫痪了So yeah – 所以嗯,所以说呢,(总结的时候可以用这话开头)8. Do you think the seasons have changed in recent years, compared to the past?Yeah I’d say they have. You know, I think it’s fair to say the summer has got quite a lot hotter, because I mean, it seems to be hitting 40 degrees every year now, and that definitely wasn’t the case in the past. And also the winter isn’t as cold as it used to be, because you know, if I think back to when I was a child, it used to snow quite a lot during the winter, but now it hardly snows at all.I think it’s fair to say – 我觉得可以说It hardly … at all – 几乎不……that definitely wasn’t the case in the past – 以前绝不是这样的9. Does it rain a lot in your hometown?Well, it depends on the season. In winter and spring, there is a dearth of rain associated with the arid weather. In contrast, it is usually raining cats and dogs in summer and august, causing loads of troubles for people travelling on the road.rainy days相关高分词汇refreshing 新奇的e.g.We find it refreshing to hang out after a rainy day. 雨过之后出门会觉得空气都很新奇。
