When you're sad, it feels like it will last forever. The world seems dark and unfriendly. You might feel like you have nothing to look forward to. Many times, you cry, and it's hard to stop. However, your feeling of sadness usually doesn't last very long — a few hours, or maybe a day or two. When sadness starts to go away, it feels like a big stone is being lifted from your body. If sad feelings go on for too long, it's called depression. Children who have depression may not know it. Often, it's a parent or teacher who notices children's changes. When depression happens, it's very important for children to receive treatment. When they do, they can get better quickly. Sometimes treatment includes talking to someone who knows all about depression. Sometimes it means taking medicine. Sometimes both of these things are used. If you think you have depression, or you just have sadness that simply will not go away, it is important to talk to an adult about it first. This person can help you find the right kind of treatment. In July, China introduced the “double reduction” policy. It hopes to reduce schoolwork burden on primary and junior high school students. The policy calls forreducing homework and after-school classes. So my life has changed a lot.Our homework is clearly less than before, and I have enough time to process new knowledge now. I have more chances to do experiments and learn from real life. For example, I go to research earthworms in a field during a biology class. This is a much better way to learn things than just hitting the books. I can also spend more time taking part in clubs and activities, such as dancing, volleyball and drama. Although we feel less stress than before, self-discipline becomes the key. We should balance the schoolwork and after-school activities. Otherwise, we will fall behind other students. What about your opinion?

以下是一-些逻辑关系的标志词:(1)转折让步关系:but、yet、however、although、instead、though、while、whereas despite等。

My imagination (想象) would run wild, and my heart would beat fast. I would lie very still so that the "enemy(敌人) " would not discover me.Another of my childhood fears was that I would get lost, especially on the way home from school. Every morning I got on the school bus right near my home. That was no problem. After school, though, when all the buses were lined up along the street, I was afraid that I would get in the wrong one and be taken to some other strange places.

All living things on the earth need other living things to live. Nothing lives alone. Most animals must live in a group, and even a plant grows close together with others of the same kind. Sometimes one living thing kills another, one eats and the other is eaten. Each kind of life eats another kind of life in order to live, and together they form a food chain(食物链)。

Some food chains become broken up if one of the links disappears59. Which of the following do you think is the best title for this passage?A. AnimalsB. PlantsC. Food ChainsD.

If you buy some well-made clothes, youcan save money because they can last longer. They look good even after they have beenwashed many times. Sometimes some clothescost more money, but it does not mean thatthey are always better made, or they alwaysfit better. In other words, some less expensiveclothes look and fit better than more expensive clothes.

A:Killer bees started in Brazil 1957. A scientist in Sao Paulo wanted bees to make more honey(蜂蜜). So he put forty-six African bees with some Brazilian bees. The bees bred(繁殖) and made a new kind of bees. But the new bees were a mistake. They didn’t want to make more honey. They wanted to attack. Then, by accident, twenty-six African bees escaped and bred with the Brazilian bees outside.Scientists could not control(控制) the problem. The bees increased fast. They went from Brazil to Venezuela. Then they went to Central America. Now they are in North America. They travel about 390 miles a year. Each group of bees grows four times a year. This means one million new groups every five years. Why are people afraid of killer bees? People are afraid for two reasons. First, the bees sting(叮) many more times than usual bees. Killer bees can sting sixty times a minute nonstop for two hours. Second, killer bees attack in groups. Four hundred bee stings can kill a person.Already several hundred people are dead. Now killer bees are in Texas. In a few years they will reach all over the United States. 59. The best title of the passage is ____________.A. How to make more honeyB. Killer beesC. A foolish scientistD.
