Super bowl
The Super Bowl is the championship game of the National Football League (NFL), the highest level of professional American football in the United States, culminating a season that begins in the late summer of the previous calendar year. The Super Bowl uses Roman numerals to identify each game, rather than the year in which it is held. For example, Super Bowl I was played on January 15, 1967, following the regular season played in 1966, while Super Bowl XLV was played on February 6, 2011, to determine the champion of the 2010 regular season.[1]

Why is called the “tailgate” party? What kinds of food packed for the party? Frankfurter, hamburgers, and sausages, with rolls and buns, mustard and ketchup, and various relished: onions, pickles and the like. Bags of potato chips, pretzels, and peanuts are also gathered up. There is also the portable grill to get ready as well as a cooler filled with ice, beer and soda water.

In addition to professional football, most colleges and universities have a varsity football team, with additional personnel in a marching band and a squad cheerleaders, whose task is to lead the spectators in cheering for their team. The marching band and cheerleaders usually provide entertainment during the major intermission halfway through the game.

A new rule requires a team to try to score within a brief time: 35seconds in the collegiate game,30 seconds in international play,and 24 seconds in American professional play,they must shoot at the basket before the shot clock runs down. Baseball season
The baseball season begins with Spring Training in February at places such as Florida and Arizona. The regular season begins at the beginning of April, and ends in October. The World Series(世界职业棒球大赛） between the leading teams in their respective leagues takes place in latter part of October.
