What is Micro Action Pin?
Micro Action Pin is a technology for attaching a connector to a PC board that uses miniaturized versions of compliant pin, press-fit contact tails designed to mate with micro via holes. The contact tail design is intended to work with 0.30mm (.0118”) drill size via holes plated to a finished diameter of 0.225mm (.0089”). The hole diameters tolerances and true positions of the hole array to accommodate the Micro Action Pins are shown below. Drill Diameter Tolerance: ±0.013mm (.0005”) Finished Hole Diameter Tolerance: ±0.038mm (.0015”) Feature-Related True Position of Nom. Holes: Ø0.098 mm ( Ø.0039”)
