上海高一英语听力test2原文Shanghai High School Year 1 English Listening Test 2 TranscriptThe English listening test for first-year students at Shanghai High School is a crucial assessment that evaluates students' proficiency in comprehending spoken English. This test serves as an important benchmark to measure the progress of students and identify areas that require further improvement. The transcript of the second listening test provides valuable insights into the content and format of the examination. The test begins with a brief introduction by the examiner who welcomes the students and provides clear instructions on the structure and duration of the test. The examiner emphasizes the importance of actively listening to the audio recordings and taking notes as necessary to answer the subsequent questions. The first section of the test features a conversation between two friends discussing their weekend plans. The conversation covers a range of topics, including their respective schedules, proposedactivities, and the logistics of meeting up. The level of complexity in the dialogue is appropriate for first-year high school students, with the speakers using relatively simple vocabulary and sentence structures.Following the conversation, the examiner poses a series of multiple-choice questions that assess the students' understanding of the key details and overall message conveyed in the dialogue. The questions cover various aspects, such as the characters' plans, their preferred activities, and any logistical arrangements discussed. The second section of the test presents a short news report on the latest developments in the local sports scene. The report provides updates on the performance of the city's professional basketball team, including the team's recent results, the coach's comments, and the upcoming schedule of matches. The language used in the news report is slightly more advanced, with the inclusion of some specialized sports-related terminology. After listening to the news report, the students are required to answer a series of short-answer questions that test their ability to extract specific information and comprehend the main ideas presented in the audio. These questions may require the students to identify key facts, summarize the report's main points, or make inferences about the implications of the information provided. The final section of the test features a longer academic lecture on the topic of sustainable urban development. The lecturer discusses the various challenges faced by modern cities in balancing economic growth, environmental preservation, and social equity. The speech incorporates a range of vocabulary and grammatical structures that are more complex, reflecting the academic nature of the content. To assess the students' understanding of the lecture, the examiner poses a combination of multiple-choice and open-ended questions. These questions evaluate the students' ability to comprehend the main themes, identify key points, and demonstrate their critical thinking skills by drawing connections and making inferences based on the information presented.Throughout the test, the examiner ensures that the audio recordings are played at an appropriate pace and volume, allowing the students ample time to process the information and formulate their responses. The test's overall design and content align with the learning objectives and curriculum standards for first-year high school English, providing a reliable assessment of the students' listening comprehension abilities. The transcript of this Shanghai High School Year 1 English Listening Test 2 offers valuable insights into the expectations and assessmentstrategies employed in evaluating students' English proficiency. By understanding the structure and content of this test, educators and students can better prepare for and optimize their performance in these crucial examinations.。

Today I'd like to share with you something about John Audubon. John was born on April 26th,1785. He spent much of his childhood in France where he spent many hours each day outdoors painting pictures. At the age of 18,he moved to the United States. Well, actually, John began his life in the US as a businessman. However, instead of taking care of his business, John was often off exploring nature. At first, John spent his time hunting for fun. Then he found that the animals around were very beautiful, and he particularly enjoyed observing the birds he saw. He began studying them, trying to learn the differences between the birds and noticing their different behaviors. Therefore, he painted the birds he observed a lot. In 1819, John realized that he didn't have enough money to pay his bills. He was very upset that he couldn't earn enough money to support his family. So he spent time improving his painting skills and began to sell his paintings. He discovered that he could earn some money while doing something he really enjoyed. We are lucky now to have so many paintings of American birds by John Audubon.

My name is Lily and I'm going to write about the listening practice for the big English test. I really want to do well on the listening part because understanding what people say is super important. Let me tell you all about how to get ready!First up, you have to practice listening all the time. Like, whenever someone talks to you, really pay attention. Don't just nod your head and pretend you understand. Concentrate hard on every word they say. If they use a word you don't know, ask them what it means! The more new words you learn, the better you'll understand. My teacher says to listen to English audio books, podcasts, movies, TV shows, music - anything with English audio. Don't just have it on in the background either. You have to actively listen and focus. Maybe read along with subtitles at first if it's too hardto just listen. But keep practicing until you can understand without reading.Another really good tip is to watch the same show or movie over and over. The first time, it'll be really confusing and you'll miss a lot. But if you watch it a second and third time, you'll start catching more words and phrases. It's like training your ears and brain to get used to how English really sounds.Oh, and don't forget about all the awesome listening resources your teacher gives you! We have these great CDs and websites with listening passages just like the real test. The passages cover all kinds of topics - some are conversations, some are lectures, some are stories. There are questions too to make sure you understood the main ideas and details. My favorite way to practice is to listen to the same passage multiple times. The first few times, I just listen carefully without looking at the questions. I try to get the general idea and pick up key words and phrases. Then I listen again with the questions and really focus on finding the answers. If there are any parts I can't quite understand, I'll listen to just those parts on repeat. I'll also read the transcript after to check my understanding. For words or phrases I missed, I make sure to study those so I'll recognize them next time.Sometimes when I'm practicing, I imagine I'm the person speaking in the passage. I'll read it out loud, trying to copy their rhythm, tone, and expressions. This helps me get used to different accents and speaking styles. It's fun too!Another good tip is to predict what you'll hear. Based on the title or intro, try guessing the topic and some key vocabulary before you start listening. This gets your brain ready for the incoming information. When you're doing practice passages, take notes as you listen! Jot down names, numbers, dates, main ideas - anything important. Having a written record helps reinforce things in your memory. Just don't write so much that you miss the next part!If you get stuck on a question, don't panic. Skip it and move on, then come back later. Sometimes a later part of the passage will give you a clue about an earlier question. Stay calm and use all the hints you can.The last big tip is to check your answers after! Don't just move onto the next practice. Go over anything you got wrong or weren't sure about. That's how you learn! Ask your teacher to explain things if you're still confused.Oops, I've gone on for a while now! Getting ready for the English listening is a lot of work, but it'll be worth it when you rock that test. Just keep listening, listening, listening in as many ways as you can. Before you know it, English will sound just like your first language!Let me know if any of you have other good tips for practicing. We're all in this together, so sharing strategies can really help. Fighting my friends, we've got this! A little hard work now will pay off huge on test day. Let's ace this English listening!篇22024 AceStar English High School English Listening Simulation Test 2 Enhancement TrainingHi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm a 4th grader. Today I'm going to tell you all about the 2024 AceStar English listening practice test for high schoolers. It's really important to practice listening in English so you can understand people when they talk. This test helps get you ready! The first part is called "Picture Description". There are some pictures and you have to listen to the audio and choose which picture matches what they're saying. It's kind of like a game! Thepictures could be about anything - animals, people doing activities, places around town. You have to pay close attention.Next is "Question-Response". In this part, you'll hear some questions and then you pick which response makes the most sense. Like if someone asks "What's your favorite food?" and the choices are "A. Pizza" or "B. I had chicken for lunch", you'd pick A because that answers the question better. The questions can be about all different topics. The "Conversation" part is where they play a recording of two (or more) people having a conversation. Then you answer some questions about what they said. You have to listen carefully for details like names, places, reasons why they're talking. It's kinda like being a detective! My favorite is the "Passage" section. They read a longer story or article out loud, like a few paragraphs. Then you get questions checking if you understood the main ideas and important details. The passages could be about history, science, folktales, or other fun topics. I always learn new things from these!Okay, I have some tips that might help you do well on this test. First, don't worry if you miss a few words here and there - try to get the general idea. Good luck everyone!篇32024 Ace English High School English Listening Simulation Test Compilation 2 - Enhancing TrainingHey guys! It's me again, your favorite elementary school writer. Today I'm going to share my thoughts on the latest Ace English listening practice test for high schoolers. As a kid who loves learning English, I was really excited to check it out.The test had lots of different types of listening passages which was super cool. There were conversations between friends, lectures from teachers, radio announcements, and even a funnystory! I'll go through each section and let you know what I liked best. The first part had some short conversations between students. They were talking about things like doing homework, joining clubs, and making plans for the weekend. I thought the conversations sounded really natural, like how kids my age actually talk. The questions asked you to identify details like who said what, reasons people gave for their opinions, and implied meanings. Those inferencing questions were kind of tricky but good practice.Next up were some longer conversations with adults involved - parents talking to their kids, a teacher explaining something to students, that kind of thing. I enjoyed listening for the different tones of voice and trying to understand everyone's perspective. The questions got me thinking about the overall context and pulling out key information. Definitely needed to listen carefully for those! My favorite part was the lectures and talks from teachers and experts. One was about the history of video games which I loved since I'm a huge gamer. Another one broke down how airplanes are able to fly - I had no clue about some of those aerodynamics concepts before! The speakers all sounded so knowledgeableand passionate about their subjects. The questions for these required note-taking skills to jot down important facts and details as you listened. There were also some audio recordings with multiple speakers having discussions. One was a radio call-in show about environmental issues which was really interesting. Another sounded like a meeting where people were disagreeing about a school policy. For those, you had to identify each speaker's role, their opinions, and the reasons they gave for agreeing or disagreeing. It was fun trying to keep track of who was who! Finally, the test ended with a funny story that was a modern-day retelling of a classic fairytale. As the narrator read it aloud with different voices for each character, I could picture the whole thing happening so vividly in my mind! The questions asked about the plot, character feelings and motivations, and other storytelling devices. Definitely my favorite part - I love me a good story.Overall, I really enjoyed going through all the different listening materials. The audio quality was nice and clear, and the topics were engaging for a kid like me. By hearing so many different accents and speech styles, it pushed me to practice mylistening flexibility. The questions ranged from easy to very hard too, which was challenging in a good way. There were some awesome bonus materials as well that I'm excited to try out. They had transcripts for all the audio I could read along with to work on my reading skills. And there were vocabulary building exercises that looked super useful for learning new words from context. I also loved the list of extension activities like creating audio responses, writing summaries, and researching related topics more. So many ways to keep practicing!I'd definitely recommend this listening test to any students wanting to improve their English ears. The variety of materials combined with thought-provoking questions made it a fantastic learning experience. I gave the test my highest rated seal of approval - four unicorn stickers out of four! Listening is one of the hardest skills in a new language, but resources like this make it way more fun. Get listening, my friends!篇4My Amazing School AdventuresHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 10-year-old student in the 5th grade. School is awesome and I have so many fun stories to share with you about my daily adventures!First up, let me tell you about my favorite class - science! Our teacher, Mrs. Jenkins, is the coolest. Last week, we did this wicked experiment where we made our own lava lamps. We mixed all these crazy ingredients like vegetable oil, food coloring, and Alka-Seltzer tablets. When we combined everything, it started bubbling and fizzing like a real volcano! It was so rad watching the colored blobs rise and fall in the liquid. I made mine bright green because that's my favorite color. Mrs. Jenkins taught us that the oil and water don't mix because of their different densities, which is why the colored blobs kept floating to the top.I love hands-on experiments like this because they make science feel like magic!Recess is definitely another high point of my day. Our school playground is ginormous with all sorts of cool stuff - swings, monkey bars, a tire swing, and even a rock climbing wall! Me and my bestie Emma spend most recesses coming up with daring stunts on the equipment. Last Friday, we tried walking across the entire monkey bar set without our feet touching the ground. We didn't quite make it all the way across, but we'll keep practicing. The other awesome part of recess is playing extreme four-square battles on the blacktop. The competition gets so intense with dramatic diving catches and smash hits. I'm a four-square superstar!I have to admit though, not everything about school is sunshine and rainbows. I really detest math class because numbers tend to make my brain hurt. Why do we even need algebra anyway? I'll never use that goofy stuff in real life. My math teacher, Mr. Patel, is always nagging me about not showing my work properly on tests. I've tried explaining to him that I do all the calculations in my head because I'm just a genius like that. Maybe I'll invent my own new math one day that's way less confusing.Lunchtime is a whole eventful ordeal on its own. The food in our cafeteria is...interesting, to put it politely. One day they tried passing off this mushy, grey-ish goop as "Shepherds Pie." I'm pretty sure real shepherds have never, ever eaten anything remotely like that concoction. My friends and I have a solemn vow to only eat the chicken nuggets, pizza, and tater tots for our own safety. We've also made it a tradition to have intense daily Capri Sun vodka-drinking contests to liven up our lunch periods.Just kidding on that last part, Mr. Principal! Overall though, lunch is a nice break to goof off with my squad. After school, I stay late most days for all the fun clubs and activities. Mondays are for art club where we get to slather paint everywhere and sculpt with clay. Tuesdays are my favorite - that's when I attend coding club! We're learning Python programming and building our own simple games and apps. I just started working on a epic space shooter arcade game. I'm definitely going to be a tech billionaire when I grow up. Wednesday afternoons are for soccer practice where I get to show off my wicked dribbling skills. Then science club meets on Thursdays for more amazing experiments. Last meeting we made dry ice bubble smokers and filled the school courtyard with a crazy fog! So much for boring after-school care.Well, that's a fairly complete download of my daily school chronicles for you. Even though school can be challenging with all the tests, homework, and social drama, I honestly wouldn't trade it for anything. My teachers are wonderful, the learning is endlessly fascinating, and I've made so many awesome friends. Maybe I'll fill you in on more zany stories from my middle school years soon. For now, I've got to blaze - Emma's mom is waitingto drive us to soccer practice. Thanks for reading all about my amazing school adventures!篇52024 Ace English High School English Listening Simulation Test Compilation 2 Enhancement TrainingHi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm a 5th grader. Today I want to tell you all about this really cool English listening practice book I've been using to get ready for middle school next year. It's called the 2024 Ace English High School English Listening Simulation Test Compilation 2 Enhancement Training. I know, I know, that's a super long name! But it's actually a really fun book. The best part is that it has tons of different listening exercises that get me ready for all the types of listening I'll need to do in middle and high school. There are conversations between students, lectures from teachers, announcements over the loudspeaker, and more. Each listening exercise has questions to answer to make sure I understood everything. At first, some of the listening exercises were pretty hard for me. The speakers talk pretty fast and use harder vocabulary words than what I'm used to. But after doing a few practices, Istarted getting the hang of it. My English teacher says that's really good training for me to build up my listening stamina. What I like most are the conversations between students. They're usually about everyday situations like deciding what club to join or making plans for the weekend. The students speak really naturally, kind of like me and my friends. Sometimes they even use slang words! Listening to those convos makes me feel like I'm just hanging out with a group of English-speaking kids my age.The teachers giving lectures can be trickier. They tend to speak more formally and use a lot of big vocabulary words. Subjects like science, history and literature come up a lot. I have to concentrate extra hard during those ones! But it's good practice because that's what I'll need to do in my middle and high school classes taught in English. There are also some fun listening exercises about things like announcements at a school event or advertisements on TV. Those help get me ready for understanding English in all different situations, not just at school. Every unit has a mix of exercises so it never gets boring. One of my favorite parts is the handy tips and strategies they give throughout the book. It teaches me skills like listening forkey words, taking notes, and making inferences from context clues. Using those skills is a huge help in understanding the harder listening exercises. What I maybe like the most though is that the book is just so encouraging. After every practice test, there's a nice motivational message about the importance of practice and not getting discouraged. It reminds me that building strong English listening skills is a process that takes time and effort. Feeling that positivity makes me excited to keep practicing!Overall, I totally recommend the 2024 Ace English High School English Listening Simulation Test book to any elementary school kids wanting an awesome head start on English listening practice. It's challenging for sure, but also fun. Whenever I use it, I feel like I'm leveling up my English skills. Just call me the Listening Master!篇6The Super Silly Listening PracticeHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm going to help you practice your English listening skills today. But this isn't just any boring old listening practice. Nope, we're going to have fun with some really silly stories and games! Are you ready? Let's go!Story Time SillinessOnce upon a time, there was a little girl named Lily who loved telling jokes. One day, Lily's dad came home from work and she couldn't wait to try out her newest joke on him."Hey Dad! What did one toilet say to the other toilet?"Her dad shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know, what?"Lily giggled. "You look a bit flushed!"Her dad laughed so hard that milk came out of his nose! Lily thought it was the funniest thing she had ever seen. From then on, Lily made it her mission to come up with the silliest jokes to make her family and friends laugh. One of Lily's favorites was: "Why did the kid throw her clock out the window? Because she wanted to see time fly!" Whenever she told that one, her little brother would roll around on the floor cracking up.Lily's jokes were so popular at school that kids started calling her the "Princess of Puns." She loved making people smile and hearing their laughter. To Lily, there was no better sound in the whole world!Wacky Word GamesNow let's play a fun listening game called "Wacky Word Swap!" I'll say a sentence, but one of the words will be replaced with a silly nonsense word. Your job is to listen carefully and let me know which real word I've swapped out. Ready? The dog chased the rumpkey down the street. What's the real word I replaced with "rumpkey"? (Squirrel)She put on her pangles before going outside. What did I swap out for "pangles"? (Boots)We're going to the flibble to see a movie later."Flibble" replaced what word? (Theater)The snibbler flew across the bright blue sky. What's the real word for "snibbler"? (Bird)Great listening! That game gets a bit trickier when the nonsense words sound more realistic. Here's another round:I accidentallydropped my zimbop on the floor. What did I say instead of "phone"? (Zimbop)We're having rillions for dinner tonight.Instead of what food did I say "rillions"? (Noodles)After I blurfed my shoes, I felt much better. What did "blurfed" mean instead of? (Tied)Let's snip the vomping at the park today. If I replaced "jump" with "vomping", what was the phrase? (Jump the roping)Wow, you're a wacky word master! Listening games like this are fun and they really help train your ears for English. Testing, testing...is this thing on?The Laughing Listening ChallengeOkay, this last listening activity is definitely the silliest! I'm going to tell you a very silly story, but I'll keep getting interrupted. You have to listen super carefully because after each interruption, I'll ask you what happened in the story so far. If you're right, I'll keep going...but if you're wrong, I'll make a silly noise! Ready for the laughing listening challenge? Here goes!Once upon a time, there was a dog who wanted to be a......MOOOOOO!What did I say so far? (Once upon a time, there was a dog who wanted to be a...)Correct! The dog wanted to be a chef in a fancy restaurant. He put on his tallest.....OINK! OINK!What did the dog put on? (He put on his tallest hat)Right again! The dog put on his tallest hat and an apron. Then he started cooking.....BWAK! BWAK! BWAK!What was the dog doing after putting on his hat and apron? (He started cooking)You're nailing this! The dog started cooking his favorite meal - a big juicy....RIBBIT! RIBBIT!What meal was the dog cooking? (A big juicy steak)Woohoo! The dog was cooking a big juicy steak. But just then, the steak jumped off the pan and....MEEEEEOW! HISSSSSSS!Oh no, what happened to the steak? (The steak jumped off the pan and...)So close! The steak jumped off the pan and out the window! It landed in the backyard where a...QUACK! QUACK! QUACK!What did the steak land near in the backyard? (A duck)You got it! The steak landed near a duck in the backyard. And then....BUZZZZZZ!Uh oh, you missed that one! I didn't get to finish - the duck picked up the steak and waddled away with it! Isn't that a silly story? You did awesome with the laughing listening challenge! We made it through all the interruptions and silly noises. You worked really hard and I'm sure your English listening skills are getting stronger and stronger.Keep on practicing and playing with the language. The more you immerse yourself in silly situations like these, the easier it will be to understand English in the real world. You've got this!Give yourself a big pat on the back. You earned it by powering through all that silliness! I'll see you next time for more super silly listening fun. Bye!。

We must acquire this skill for success and enjoyment throughout our lives. Just think how much time we spend every day listening. We listen to the radio, television programs, concerts, tapes and disks. We also listen to teachers, friends, our family members and other people. The better we listen, the more we will succeed in our work and study.Listening is basically the understanding of words and the relationship between sentences. Bad listeners only listen to separate words and separate sentences. The try to understand everyword and every sentence. This is impossible even when we listen in our own language. A good student will constantly examine his listening habits so that he can find out his strengths and weaknesses. In this way he can improve his listening skills.Part DDirections: You are going to hear three passages. Each will be read once. Listen carefully and choose the right answers to the questions you hear.(10 points)Passage 1Mr.and Mrs. Green were going abroad for their holidays. First they asked their neighbour Mrs. White for help. Then they called their colleague Mr. Black. But both of them said they would not be able to take Blackie. At last they found a dog care center which looked after dogs while their owners were away. The couple took Blackie there just before they left for their holiday, and sadly said goodbye to him.At the end of their holiday, they got back to England very late at night, and as they thought the center might be closed at that late hour, they decoded to wait until the next day before going to get Blackie. So the next morning Mr. Green got into his car and drove off happily to collect him. When he reached home with the dog, he said to his wife, “Do you know, dear, I don’t think Blackie can have enjoyed his time at the center very much. He barked all the way home in the car as if he wanted to tell me something.”Mrs. Green looked at the dog carefully and then answered,”You’re quite right, dear. He was certainly trying to tell you something. But he wasn’t trying to tell you that he hadn’t enjoyed his stay. He was only trying to t ell you that you were bringing the wrong dog home. In a minute, the car moved wildly, rolled over and then crashed sideways into a telephone pole.It was an emergency, Barbara realized at once. She stopped her car and threw open the door. Thank goodness she was a nurse--she might be able to help. Without delay, she ran towards thecrash site. It was worse than she’d feared. Two girls of hight-school age were in the car. One, on the passenger seat, had been killed instantly. The driver, however, was still breathing. She was unconscious though. Barbara quickly applied pressure to the wound in the teenager’s head while her nurse’s eye took in the other injuries --a broken leg, maybe two, along with probable internal bleeding. But if help came soon the girl might remain alive.Meanwhile ,a truck had pulled up and the driver was calling for help on his cell phone. Moreover, I was told that the job prospects of university graduates were not so promising. The other reason was that, although I was acquainted with a great number of new classmates, I feel uncomfortable communicating with them.Eventually I became silent. I seldom entered conversations with others. I was in low spirits. I didn’t truly know myself. At the end of the first semester I surprisingly found I did a poor job in the exams of almost all subjects. It was really a great shock to me.Then I decided to pluck up my courage and change my thinking, Now I spend several hours a day in the library to obtain new knowledge. (10points)Everyone knows the value of money. If you have a lot of money, you can make yourself very comfortable by having a fine house to live in, fashionable clothes to wear and delicious food to eat. With money you can do whatever you like. Money is so important and so useful that people are naturally keen on possessing it.But money can also be a source of evil. For the sake of money, some do not care about their means of getting it. They will steal, gamble, cheat and even kill to get money, profiting at the expense of their victims. It is true that money can bring people happiness. With money the basic necessities can be provided for. With money the theatre and other places of entertainment can be enjoyed. But in my opinion the truly happy are those who make money through their work and live with their income. In short, money is important and useful but in itself it has little value if it does not give people real happiness.Part DDirections: You are going to hear three passages. Each will be read once. Listen carefully and choose the right answers to the questions you hear.(10 points)Passage 1Nicholas Mac Mahon is a four-year-old child. At eighteen months he took telephone messages for his parents. At the age of two he began to learn French. The strange thing about Nicholas is that he taught himself to read before he could speak. His father said,“We knew immediately that he could read. When he could speak, he corrected my spelling.” When Nicholas went to school, his teachers just gave him pictures to color and toys to play with and didn’t have time to prepare special lessons for him. Nicholas tried two different schools, but he was bored and unhappy. Then his parentsdecided that he couldn’t stay at an ordinary school. But they had no idea what to do with him. Then the West London Institute offered to help. Nicholas spends some of his time there, and also studies at home. Now he reads newspapers every day, and he play the violin well. His father said, “Nicholas is our life. He is a clever child and we want to help him in every way.”Questions 26 to 29 are based on the passage you’ve just heard.26. It was a sad and dangerous life indeed. Then one day his luck changed. He came across a man named Johnny Reid who opened a hotel and needed a porter. Johnny felt sorry for Tom and decided to give him a job as a porter and a room at his hotel.Tom was so excited. He said, “It’s nice to know that there are still kind people in the world. It is Johnny’s Kindness that saved me. Actually that’s a lesson for everyone. Some people think homeless people are lazy. W hy should we help them? Actually we don’t want to live on the streets, but we’re totally helpless. It’s so unpleasant especially when it’s cold and wet outside. So don’t be afraid to help someone in trouble. And please, don’t be rude or nasty to homeless people.”Questions 30 to 32 are based on the passage you’ve just heard.30. What happened when Tom lost his job? (c)31. Who is Johnny Reid? (c)32. What’s tom’s advice? (d)Passage 3There’s a lot of to learn about shopping. In my opinion not everyone is a good shopper. Some people spend a lot of time and money but bring back something not worth price they paid for it. Thus quarrels occur between husband and wives. So try to be a smart shopper. Here are some tips.First of all, before you go shopping, make a list of things that you are going to buy. It saves you time and keeps you from forgetting something.Secondly, try to locate where you can buy these things and find our prices. To do this, you can buy a local newspaper and read th e “sale” section in the classified advertisements. Once you’ve found something that you want, call the store immediately and make sure that’s still there. Cheap things and things of value usually sell very quickly. So try to be the first one to reach the seller. Thirdly, compare the prices of the same product in different stores, either by telephoningor visiting them.Lastly, it’s generally cheaper to shop in chain stores and supermarkets, Shops that remain openuntil quite late may charge rather higher prices in return for their longer hours for service. Questions 33 to 35 are based on the passage you’ve just heard.33.What does the passage mainly tell us?(b)34.What does the speaker say we should do first before shopping?(d)35.Where can we buy things cheap according to the passage?(c)感谢阅读,欢迎大家下载使用!。

2023高考新高考2卷英语听力全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Super Duper Listening Test for Big KidsHiya, friends! It's me, your pal Billy. Today, I wanna tell you all about this super cool listening test that the big kids have to take. You know how us little kiddos have to take tests at school sometimes? Well, the big kids who are almost done with their last year of high school have to take a really important test called the Gaokao. Now, the Gaokao has been around for a really long time, but this year, they added a brand new section that's all about listening! Isn't that exciting? The big kids have to listen to people talking in English and then answer questions about what they heard. Whoa, that sounds kinda tricky, doesn't it?But you know what? I think it's awesome that they get to practice their listening skills. After all, listening is a super important part of learning a language. If you can't understand what people are saying, how are you gonna communicate withthem? That's like trying to play a game without knowing the rules!Okay, so here's the really cool part: the listening section has two parts! Part one is all about conversations. The big kids will hear people chatting about all sorts of stuff, like making plans, ordering food, or even talking about their hobbies. Then, they have to answer questions about the conversations they just heard.Part two is where things get even more interesting. It's all about listening to longer passages, like news reports, lectures, or even radio shows! The big kids have to listen closely and answer questions about the main ideas, details, and even the speaker's opinions or attitudes. Wow, that sounds like a lot of work, doesn't it?But you know what? I bet the big kids are gonna do great! After all, they've been studying English for years and years. And practicing their listening skills is gonna help them so much when they go off to college or start working.Imagine being able to understand people from all over the world, or watching movies and TV shows without needing subtitles. How awesome would that be? And who knows, maybeone day they'll even be able to travel to different countries and chat with people in English like it's no big deal! So, let's all give a big cheer for the big kids taking the listening section of the Gaokao this year. They're working super hard, and I know they're gonna rock it! And who knows, maybe in a few years, we'll be the ones taking that cool listening test. But for now, let's just keep practicing our listening skills by singing along to our favorite songs or playing fun listening games.Listening is the key to unlocking all sorts of adventures and making new friends from all over the world. So, let's all give it our best shot, okay? Alright, my friends, that's all for now. Time for me to go play with my toys. But remember, keep those ears wide open and ready to listen!篇2The 2023 Gaokao English Listening TestHi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm in 5th grade. I wanted to tell you all about the big English listening test that high school seniors had to take this year called the Gaokao. It was a really important test that helped decide what colleges they could go to.My big sister Lily was one of the students who took the English listening part of the Gaokao this year. She studied so hard for months! Whenever I would go into her room, she had her headphones on listening to English recordings over and over again. Sometimes she would make me listen too and ask me questions to practice. At first I thought it was boring, but then I started to get better at understanding what they were saying. The exam had four different sections – Interviews, Passages, Compound Dictation, and Listening Comprehension. Lily said the Interviews part was kind of strange. They played recordings of people being interviewed and asked questions about details like their job, opinions, and experiences. The speakers had different accents from all over the world which made it really difficult sometimes. The Passages section was similar, but instead of interviews there were just people giving speeches or lectures on different topics like science, culture, and current events. Lily had to answer comprehension questions about the main ideas and important details. She told me some of the topics were really obscure and used advanced vocabulary that even she didn't know! Then there was something called Compound Dictation where they read out a short passage line by line with pauses tolet the students write down what they heard. I can't imagine how hard it must be to get every single word right while listening and writing at the same time. Lily's hand was so sore after that part! But I think the Listening Comprehension questions were probably the hardest of all. The passages were super long –around 5 minutes each! And the questions got increasingly difficult, asking about things like the speaker's attitude, implied meanings, and relating different parts of the passage together. Lily had to concentrate so intensely and take meticulous notes while listening. After the test was over, Lily looked completely drained. But she was proud of herself for pushing through and doing her best.I have so much respect for her and all the Gaokao students after seeing how grueling and challenging the English listening exam was. I don't know if I'll be able to manage it when it's my turn in a few years!I really hope Lily gets a good score and is able to get into her dream university. Watching her work so diligently has motivated me to start practicing my English listening more too. Who knows, maybe I'll get to brag aboutacing the Gaokao English test when I'm in high school! But I've got a long way to go before then. Fornow, I'll just keep watching English movies and shows to get that listening practice in.Let me know if you have any other questions! I'm always happy to chat about the exciting world of standardized English exams. Just kidding...unless?篇3The Big Test for Big KidsWow, you won't believe what I heard about the Gaokao this year! The Gaokao is this huge test that all the old kids have to take to get into a university after high school. My big brother Xiao Ming is going to take it soon and he's been studying like crazy. He told me they made some big changes to the English listening part this year. In the past, they just had dialogues and passages that played over speakers, and you had to answer multiple choice questions about what you heard. Sounds pretty boring if you ask me!But now, they've made it way more interesting and interactive. There are different tasks you have to complete by listening carefully. My brother said one section has videos withpeople giving instructions, and you have to follow the instructions by doing things on your computer screen. How cool is that?Another part has phone conversations between two people, and you have to take notes on key details as you listen. Xiao Ming practiced this with our parents by calling them and pretending to make a reservation or schedule an appointment. I got to listen in a few times - it was like being a spy!The best new part has to be the virtual scenarios though. Xiao Ming described it as being like a video game, but without any graphics. You just hear the sounds and have to imagine what's happening. Then you get questions testing if you understood the situation correctly. He did one practice scenario that took place at a summer camp. You could hear kids running around, counselors blowing whistles, people splashing in the lake. At one point there was a thunderstorm and you had to identify the different sounds. Another time, there was an argument between some boys about a game of basketball. I'd love to try that myself! The really tough part is that everything is only played once. You can't replay the audio like we sometimes do in English classat school. So you have to concentrate super hard and use all your listening skills.I know it sounds incredibly difficult, but Xiao Ming says the new format is way more engaging than just sitting there answering questions. He thinks it will help students practice for actually using English in the real world when they get to university.Part of me is a tiny bit jealous that the English listening looks so fun and interactive now. But another part of me is glad I'm still young and don't have to worry about the Gaokao for many more years! It seems like a lot of pressure.Xiao Ming has been working so hard to prepare. He listens to English podcasts, watches movies and shows with English audio, and even reads children's books out loud to practice his listening comprehension. I try to help out by deliberately mumbling and speaking quickly when I talk to him. Then he has to say "Pardon?" and I repeat myself more clearly, just like in those dialogues they'll have on the test. Our parents are so proud of how diligently he's getting ready. They keep telling him that his score on that English listening section could make or break his chances of getting into his dream school. No pressure, right?I'm going to be cheering Xiao Ming on louder than anyone when he finally takes the Gaokao in a few weeks. Fingers crossed that all his practice with the new listening activities pays off! Maybe if he does really well, he can teach me some of the virtual scenario games. Those sound like a total blast. For now, I'll just have篇4The 2023 Gaokao Listening Exam Was So Cool!Hi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm in 5th grade. I just had to tell you all about the 2023 Gaokao English listening exam that I got to sit in on. It was so awesome! My cousin Jingjing is in her last year of high school, so she had to take the big Gaokao exam to try to get into a good university. I've always thought English was a really neat language, with funny words and those squiggly letters. I never imagined I'd get to experience a real English exam though!A few weeks ago, Jingjing asked me if I wanted to come watch her take the listening part of the English Gaokao exam as practice. She said it would be good experience for me to see what it's like. I was so excited! On exam day, I got up super early and my mom made me a big breakfast to get me ready. We met Jingjing at the exam hall, and I gave her a big high five for good luck. The teachers allowed me to sit in the back and watch. The exam started off kind of boring to be honest. They gave everyone instructions on filling out answer sheets and test procedure stuff like that. But then the listening tracks began! The first section had a bunch of short conversations between two people. After each one, there was a question about something they said or what the situation was. This helped test if you understood the key details.I tried reallyyyy hard to pay attention, but some of the conversations used slangs or idioms I didn't know. Like when they said "hit the hay", I thought they were talking about actually hitting hay, which didn't make sense! Grown-up English is tricky. The next part was my favorite though - it was a longer story about a girl and her pet hamster! The narrator spoke slowly and clearly, which made it easier for me to follow along. There were questions about the main events and details after every few paragraphs. The story was hilarious! Basically this girl's hamster kept escaping from its cage and causing all kinds of chaos around the house. I was cracking up picturing this tiny hamster outwitting the whole family. What a naughty little thing! After the mid-exam break, we moved onto passages about different topics like science, culture, and global issues. These were pretty difficult for me since they used more academic vocabulary. But I liked learning new things! One passage discussed environmental activism, which I thought was really cool. It talked about how young people were leading the charge to tackle climate change and protect nature. I decided then and there that I wanted to be an eco-warrior when I grow up!By the end, my brain was pretty fried from concentrating so hard. I had a whole new appreciation for how challenging English listening can be at that level. Jingjing looked tired but relieved when it was finally over.On the way home, I peppered her with questions about what certain words or phrases meant. I can't wait until I'm old enough to take the real Gaokao so I can put my English skills to the test!Even though a lot of the content was confusing for a kid like me, I had an awesome time witnessing the 2023 Gaokao listening exam. It really opened my eyes to the different varieties of English out there beyond what I learn at school.I'll never forget how incredible it felt being surrounded by so many students diligently working towards their academic dreams. Their determination inspired me to study hard too, so I can one day become a future English master! Who knows, maybe I'll even get to help write the Gaokao exams when I'm older. For now though, I'm just going to keep practicing my English skills through watching movies, reading books, and bugging Jingjing with millions of questions. Getting that first-hand Gaokao experience has me more motivated than ever before. Thanks for letting me share my little adventure! I hope you all continue working hard too towards your own dreams, whatever they may be. Study study study! Haha okay, I'll stop being cheesy now. Bai bai!篇5The Big Listening Test for Big KidsHi there! My name is Lily, and I'm a little girl in primary school. I'm really excited to tell you all about the big listening test that my older brother took this year. It's called the Gaokao English Listening Comprehension, and it's a super important test for all the big kids who want to go to university. My brother is in his last year of high school, and he's been studying really hard for the Gaokao. It's like the biggest exam ever! He has to take tests in all kinds of subjects, like math, Chinese, and English. The English part has a listening section, and that's what I'm going to talk about today. You see, in the listening test, they play lots of different recordings, and the big kids have to listen very carefully and answer questions about what they hear. It's kind of like when our teacher reads us a story and then asks us questions about it, but way harder! From what my brother told me, the recordings in the Gaokao English Listening Comprehension are all in English, and they can be about all sorts of different topics. Some of them are conversations between people, like two friends chatting or a teacher talking to a student. Others are lectures or talks, like a professor giving a speech or a news report. The big kids have to listen super carefully because the recordings can be pretty long and have lots of information. They need to understand not just the words but also the tone of voice, the emotions, and even the accents of the speakers. It's like a big game of "Who can listen the best?"My brother said that some of the questions are just about understanding the main idea or the key details of the recording. But others are trickier, like figuring out the speaker's attitude or opinion, or making inferences based on what's said (and what's not said!).It all sounds so complicated and grown-up to me. But my brother has been practicing a lot by listening to English podcasts, watching movies and TV shows in English, and doing practice tests. He even has a special app on his phone that helps him practice listening comprehension.I asked him if he was nervous about the big listening test, and he said he was a little bit, but also really excited to show off how much English he's learned over the years. He's been studying English since he was a little kid, just like me!I think it's so cool that the big kids get to take a test that's all about listening. In my opinion, listening is one of the mostimportant skills for learning a language. If you can't understand what people are saying, how can you communicate with them?I hope my brother does really well on the Gaokao English Listening Comprehension. I know he's worked so hard, and I'm super proud of him. Maybe one day, when I'm a big kid too, I'll get to take the same test and show off my amazing listening skills!Well, that's all I have to say about the big listening test for now. It's time for me to go practice my own English listening by watching my favorite cartoon in English. Wish me luck, and wish my brother luck too! We're both on our way to becoming English listening champions!篇6The 2023 Gaokao Was Really Hard!Hi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm a 5th grader here in Beijing. A few weeks ago, my big sister Jingjing took the infamous gaokao - that's the huge test that all high school students in China have to take to get into university. She studied sooooo hard for months leading up to the exam. I felt really bad for her having to work that much! The gaokao has four main sections - Chinese, math, a combined test with things like politics and history, and English. Jingjing said the English listening part on the second test day was absolutely brutal this year! She's going to tell me all about how difficult it was. I'll share what she told me so you can get an idea of just how challenging the 2023 gaokao English listening was.First off, the passages they had to listen to were super long this year, like way longer than in previous years from what I've heard. There were multiple passages that were 5-6 minutes long of just straight listening with no breaks! Jingjing said it was really mentally exhausting having to focus so intensely on understanding the English for that long without any chances to rest her ears and brain. A couple of the longest passages were about some scientific research studies too, with lots of technical vocabulary that was hard to catch. On top of the crazy long passages, Jingjing mentioned that the accents used in the recordings were very diverse andnon-standard this year. In past years, it was usually easy to understand American or British English speakers. But in 2023, there were thick regional accents from places like Scotland, Australia, India and Singapore! Those accents made it superchallenging to accurately comprehend what was being said, especially when combined with the length and complexity of the material.Another thing that really threw Jingjing for a loop was that the topics covered on the listening exam were super random and all over the place this year. Like one passage was about the history of the bagpipe instrument, which is just such an obscure and odd subject for a high stakes test like the gaokao. Then another passage gave instructions for changing a car's oil and filter, which is basically an adult task that high schoolers wouldn't know much about. Jingjing felt it was really unfair to include such weirdly specific and unrealistic topics that were far beyond the usual academic subject areas students are used to being tested on.As if all that wasn't enough, Jingjing also told me that the actual questions and tasks students had to complete were extremely convoluted and Byzantine on the 2023 English listening section. It wasn't just straightforward multiple choice questions about the key details and facts from the passages like usual. Instead, there were all these torturous types of questions like:Putting events or steps into the correct chronological sequence from the listeningIdentifying the speaker's tone, attitude or underlying implications about certain thingsSummarizing the main idea or key arguments made in a conceptual or abstract wayApplying or transferring information from the listening to new contexts to solve problemsJingjing said questions like those which required such deep inferencing, critical thinking and cognitive skills rather than just basic comprehension were brutal for a timed exam like the gaokao listening section. She ran out of time on quite a few passages because she had to spend so long analyzing and puzzling over what the convoluted questions were even asking for.I could go on with more examples of why Jingjing felt the 2023。
