Reading "Heidi and Grandpa" felt like taking a cozy trip back to the simple, sweet days of childhood. You know, those days where life was as simple as counting stars in the night sky and as pure as the mountain air Heidi breathed in. It's a story that wraps you in a warm blanket of nostalgia, making you feel all the feels—joy, sadness, wonder, and a whole lot of love.Heidi's world is a far cry from the hustle and bustle of today'stech-savvy life. She lives with her Grandpa, up in the Alps, where the days stretch out like lazy cats in the sun. The first thing that hit me was how close Heidi and her Grandpa were. It's like they were two peas in a pod, sharing a bond that's as strong as the roots of an old oak tree. Their little hut, nestled amidst the rolling hills and lush meadows, was more than just a home; it was a sanctuary of love and laughter.Grandpa was more than just a guardian to Heidi; he was her mentor, her playmate, and her best friend. He taught her the ways of the mountains, how to listen to the whispers of the wind and read the stories in the clouds. I could just imagine the two of them, walking hand in hand, exploring the wonders of nature. It's like they were living a fairy tale, every moment filled with magic and adventure. But life in the Alps wasn't always a bed of roses. Heidi faced her share of challenges, too. When she was sent away to live with her wealthy but emotionally distant aunt in Frankfurt, my heart broke for her. It was like pulling her away from the sun and planting her in a concrete jungle. The city was a stark contrast to the freedom and beauty of the mountains. Heidi missed her Grandpa, the fresh air, and the sound of birds chirping. She was like a fish out of water, struggling to breathe in a world that was so different from the one she knew and loved.Despite the challenges, Heidi never lost her spirit. She found friends in Clara, a wheelchair-bound girl who longed to dance and play like everyone else, and Peter, a mischievous boy who had a heart of gold. Heidi's positivity was contagious. She brought a ray of sunshine into Clara's life, showing her that even in the darkest corners of the city, there was still hope and joy to be found. And with Peter, she reignited his love for the mountains, reminding him of the beauty and freedom that awaited them beyond the city limits. The most heartwarming part of the story was when Heidi and Grandpa were finally reunited. It was like a dream come true, a moment filled with so much emotion that it made my eyes misty. You could feel the love pouring out of every page, like a warm hug from a long-lost friend. Heidi's return to the Alps was more than just a trip home; it was a journey back to her roots, to the place where she truly belonged. In the end, "Heidi and Grandpa" isn't just a story about a girl and her Grandpa; it's a celebration of love, family, and the simple joys of life. It's a reminder that no matter where we go or what we face, the bonds we share with our loved ones are the most precious things we have. And sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of courage and a lot of heart to find our way back home.。

The Life And Adventures Of Robinson CrusoeOn summer vacation, I read an English book called the life and adventures of Robinson Crusoe, I was attracted by the details of book and the quality of the hero.Robinson Crusoe is a youth of about eighteen years old who resides in Hull, England.presented when he is sent out with two Moorish youths to go fishing. After we close the covers of the book, after having a long journey of the spirit, Jane Eyre, a marvelous figure, has left us so much to recall and to think: We remember her goodness: for someone who lost arms and blinded in eyes, for someone who despised her for her ordinariness, and even for someone who had hurt her deeply in the past.We remember her pursuit of justice. It’s like a panion with the goodness. But still, a virtuous person should promote the goodness on one side and must check the badness on the other side.We remember her self-respect and the clear situation on equality. In her opinion, everyone is the same at the God’s feet. Though there are differences in status、in property and also in appearance, but all the human being are equal in personality. We also remember her striving for life, her toughness and her confidence。

The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr有个小女孩叫索菲。

The Black Cat is a short story by Edgar Allan Poe. It was first published in the August 19, 1843, edition of The Saturday Evening Post. It is a study of the psychology of guilt, often paired in analysis with Poe's "The Tell -Tale Hear t". In both, a murderer carefully conceals his crime and believes himself unassailable, but eventually breaks down and reveals himself, impelled by a nagging reminder of his guilt. The story is presented as a first-person narrative using an unreliable narrator. He is a condemned man at the outset of the stor y.The narrator tells us that from an early age he has loved animals. He and his wife have many pets, including a large, beautiful black cat (as described by the narrator) named Pluto. This cat is especially fond of the narrator and vice versa. Their mutual friendship lasts for several years, until the narrator becomes an alcoholic. One night, after coming home completely intoxicated, he believes the cat to be avoiding him. When he tries to seize it, the panicked cat bites the narrator, and in a fit of rage, he seizes the animal, pulls a pen-knife from his pocket, and deliberately gouges out the cat's eye.

When it comes to reading books in English, it's not just about understanding the words on the page; it's about delving deep into the ideas, cultures, and perspectives that the text presents Every book is like a new world, waiting to be explored and discoveredI remember the first English book I read "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain The story of Tom's mischievous escapades and his adventures along the Mississippi River captured my imagination The language was simple yet vivid, allowing me to follow the plot easily I found myself laughing at Tom's tricks and feeling for him when he faced difficulties This book not only introduced me to an exciting story but also gave me a glimpse into the life and values of people in a different time and placeAnother memorable read was "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen The complex web of relationships and the societal norms of the 19th century England were depicted so intricately The characters, especially Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy, were so welldeveloped that I felt as if I knew them personally Through the pages, I learned about the importance of not judging people based on first impressions and the power of love and understanding to overcome prejudicesOne of the key benefits of reading books in English is the expansion of vocabulary Instead of relying on rote memorization from vocabulary lists, encountering words in the context of a story makes them more memorableand meaningful For example, in "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee, words like "empathy" and "injustice" were used in a way that made their definitions crystal clear and left a lasting impression on meReading English books also helps improve grammar and sentence structure By observing how native speakers construct sentences and express their thoughts, one can internalize the correct usage of tenses, prepositions, and various sentence patterns It's like having an ongoing grammar lesson without the boredom of textbooksMoreover, it exposes you to different writing styles and literary devices From the descriptive prose of Charles Dickens to the concise and thoughtprovoking works of George Orwell, each author has a unique way of presenting their ideas This variety enriches one's own writing skills and makes it possible to express oneself more precisely and effectivelyHowever, reading in a foreign language can present challenges Sometimes, the archaic language or cultural references can make understanding difficult But this is where perseverance pays off Looking up unfamiliar words, referring to footnotes or online explanations, and rereading difficult passages can gradually break down these barriersIn conclusion, reading books in English is a rewarding journey that enriches the mind, enhances language skills, and offers a window into diverse worlds and ideas It's an adventure that keeps on giving, with each book being a new discovery and a step forward in one's language learning and personal growth So, pick up that English book and embark on your own literary adventure! The next book on my list is "1984" by George Orwell I'm eager to see what insights and challenges it will bring Maybe it will change my perspective on society and governance, or perhaps it will simply offer a thrilling escape from reality Either way, I know it will be a valuable addition to my collection of English readsI also find that sharing my thoughts and impressions about the books I read with others is a great way to deepen my understanding Discussing with fellow readers can bring out different viewpoints and interpretations that I might have missed on my own It's like adding another layer of meaning to the reading experienceAnother aspect I've noticed is how reading English books has made me more aware of cultural nuances Different authors from different backgrounds bring their own cultural flavors to their works This has broadened my horizons and made me more sensitive and respectful of cultural diversitySometimes, I come across books that are based on historical events or periods Reading about them in English not only helps me learn the language but also gives me a better understanding of world history It's like getting a double dose of knowledge and entertainmentFor those who are just starting out on their journey of reading in English, I would recommend beginning with simpler, contemporary novels or children's books These often have more straightforward language and engaging plots that can build confidence and momentumIn a world where technology often dominates our leisure time, taking the time to curl up with a good English book is a refreshing and enriching choice It's a form of entertainment that educates and inspires at the same timeI believe that the more we read, the better we become at understanding the world and expressing ourselves So, let's keep turning those pages and exploring the endless possibilities that English literature has to offer。

Their bond is as strong as the roots of an old tree, and their days are filled with hiking, cheese-making, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. It's like watching a slow-motion movie of happiness. But life in the Alps isn't always a bed of roses. When Heidi gets homesick and pines for the Alps, Clara's family decides to grant her wish –but only if Clara can come along. And so, the two girls embark on a journey back to Heidi's mountain home. It's like a real-life fairy tale come to life, with Clara's wheelchair rolling over paths that seem to have been paved with magic. In the mountains, Clara discovers a strength she never knew she had.

I was read the book which called “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”. This story is about a clever boy called T om Sawyer.Tom is a naughty boy, he doesn’t like school and he doesn’t like work and he never wants to get up in the morning. But he like playing like swimming, fishing and having adventures with his friends. In this story he and his friend have a lot of adventures. These adventures can be dangerous. One night in the graveyard he and Huck see three men. Then Tom and his friends saw a murder. Joey killed the doctor and referred to Peter. Tom and his friends exposed Joey and caught him and became hero.I think Tom is naughty but he is sympathetic and upright, he is brave he doesn’t afraid of Joey and full of his mind are wicked idea but he is clever and optimistic, he want his friend work for him, he make a lot of funny things. This book let me know we need to “The road sees rough, gone to bat” to face difficult things we can’t shrink back and we need to fight with them. In the same time l know if only have a dream have pursuit and should try our best to do it , we can’t give up easily .It just like in our study life we need to do our best. When we have problem we need to overcome it and get better scores. I believe that one of the factors that makes a piece of literature or even a movie a masterpiece is how well the reader can relate to the story. This is definitely a book everyone can relate to.The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a literary masterpieces, written in 1876 by the famous author Mark Twain. T om Sawyer is a mischievous young boy who lives in the small town on the Mississippi River called St. Petersburg. The story line is simple, the book reads like a biography or a memoir of a summer in T om Sawyer's life.Tom Sawyer seems to be the precursor of and the template for misfit kids such as Dennis the Menace, Malcolm in the Middle, and Calvin and Hobbs. What makes this story great is that Tom Sawyer represents everything that is great about childhood. The book is filled with Tom's adventures playing pirates and war with his friend Joe Harper. Tom has a trusted friend, Huck Finn, who few of the adults approve of. The book is filled with ideas of how the world works, such as how pirates and robbers work, that are so innocent, they could only come from a child. It is a story filled with action, adventure, ingenious ideas, love, and schoolyard politics. The whole story is seemingly a complication of what people did or wish they did during their childhood. The book is a little difficult to read at first. Personally, it takes me a little while to get used to the 19th century dialect in the book. Other than referring to persons of African decent in derogatory terms (which I'm sure uses terms even young children already know), the book would be an enjoyable read for people of all ages. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to feel young again, if just for a few hundred pages.。

And "Little Prince" can make people feel warm and fresh. The story is about a boy. He lives on a small planet. He is the only person of the planet. He is a lonely prince. Fortunately, a beautiful rose came in his life. They loved each other. But a little argument separated them. He left the planet which he lives, starts traveling. In real life, we often busy in the whole day, such as a fly without soul. The passage of time, childhood away, we grew up and took away a lot of memories, but we also have an oasis in the heart.Because ‘The Little Prince’ story, we live in quiet, the heart has a hope and love, have touched on the responsibility of the life. (4)I don’t remember the exact year I first read The Little Prince . Though the golden snake in the book plays a cameo role , I never forget the scene that he flashed kissed gently on the little prince’s ankle. It made me be afraid to reread this book.Later, I listened a Michael Wong’s song named Fairy-tale Story, the prince in his song is different from the prince in The Little Prince, the prince in the song is the same as Andersen’s tales’ princes, they all have happy endings. However, I think The Little Prince is a sad story. There is a saying: There are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand peoples eyes. Now, let me talk about my reading feeling. This simple story flies over every corner of the world: a pilot (the narrator) who had an accident with his plane and crashed in the Desert of Sahara then he met the little prince from the planet B-612, and the narrator listened little prince’s travel experience of seven planets. On theseven planets, he met a variety of persons. They are the king, the conceited man, the businessman, the tippler, the lamplighter, the geographer and so on.The Little Prince is a story belongs to adults who have childlike innocence.because children don’t understand the little prince’s deep sadness. This is not so much a fairy tale, as it is a tragedy. This story tells the grow-ups’ world is full of empty, lost and loneliness with kids’ perspective. Among the story, the alcoholic is impressive. He was surrounded by a pile of beer bottles when the little prince saw him, and prince asked him why he is drinking, but he answered he want to forget his shame of drinking. This short planet visit plunged little prince into deep puzzled. He think the grow-ups are certainly very, very odd. In kids' eyes, beautiful things must look with heart. But the adults pay more attention on things’ appearance that is just a shell and they don’t believe the eyes are blind and the heart is true.Through this story, it also made me understand what’s the love---love's more mineral, more dense, more bitter and more weighty than the earth's profoundest matter. When I first read The Little Prince, I can’t understand the mean of love and never to think why should the little prince leave alone since he love his rose so deeply. For years, I reread the story and think about it. The simple true was first love. The little prince didn’t know how to love and It was difficult to make him understand the rose’s heart, so it may lead to misunderstanding and hurts from time to time. He leaved his planet because he can not accept the rose and himself. This is why the little prince don’t know he have to leave : at that time, he had no idea he was in it. The little prince don’t understand the meaning of tame until he met the fox later. Thenhe produced the endless yearning for the roses and realized his responsibility."Do you want to be domesticated?" For me, this is a profound question. In the book, the little prince met a fox and invited the fox to play with him, but he was refused. The fox told him that he was not tamed. “what does that mean--tame?” little prince asked. The fox answered:” it means to establish ties: to me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. T o me , you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world.”Gradually the little prince was beginning to understand, because he remembered his rose and he thought his rose had tamed him. So he chose to go back to his planet in the end. But to the fox, the little prince’s farewell will make her sad, but the hurts because of love, she should learn to accept it gradually. I believe there are full of hurts within serious and true love.As long as the little prince flied to different planets and met a variety of persons can he understand himself and his rose. So I think traveling is a good way to experience life. (5)At first, the author told me in a somewhat sarcastic tone that the adults seemed to only understand the numeral language. For children, there is no significant number; for adults, it is the most important language. The little prince I saw is written by France. I like the two sentences in the book. One is children. They often give great tolerance to adults. I think this little prince and inquisitive spirit about it! Just as a child asks what it is, if a childdoes not say a child, he will always ask, because children give adults a lot of tolerance and patience, so they are willing to wait for the answer to the adult. The exception is the mysterious place of tears. A beautiful sentence, which is sad, sad and touching, has been described as beautiful and hazy. It's really lovely. The book refers to the little prince who has gone to many planets. It is sad to have a king, an arrogant man, a drunkard, a businessman, a geologist, and a light man, and it seems to be satirize all kinds of adults. But there is also a derogatory praise, the story also mentions the dedication, even love, I think this is a story book.Finish the story, finish the whole look, even read it again, I have a very two ends of the feeling, one end is sad, the sentimental of parting is out of the heart from the bottom of the heart; the other end is happy is happy, this is the later feeling, this book is very good!。
