复数可数名词

一．名词复数的规则变化

名词单数变复数，词尾-s，-es。

1.直接加-s。

2.以s、x、ch、sh结尾加-es。

3.辅音+y结尾，变y为i加-es，元音+y结尾直接加-s。

4.以f、fe结尾，f、fe变v加-es。

5.以o结尾，hero、mango、potato、tomato加-es，其他加-s。

1.元音发生变化

man —— men woman —— women foot —— feet

tooth —— teeth mouse —— mice goose —— geese

2.单、复数形式相同

deer fish sheep swine

spacecraft Chinese Japanese

3.特殊变化

child —— children ox —— oxen

4.有些名词只有复数形式

clothes glasses pants

scissors trousers

四．复合名词的复数形式

1. 第一个或最后一个词变成复数

girlfriend —— girlfriends passer-by——passers-by

son-in-law——sons-in-law

2. 构成复合名词的两个词都要变为复数
