七选五专题训练(一)
A Camping essentials (必需品)
Camping can be a fun and cheap family activity or vacation. But you do need quite a few supplies to manage life in the great outdoors.__1__ And remember to check your camping essentials.
Tent
Unless you're sleeping under the stars or you have a camper or an RV, don't forget the obvious one: a tent! Check the measurements and user reviews when you are buying one.
Sleeping Bag and Pillow
Even if the weather looks hot for your camping trip, bring a sleeping bag for every camper. Without a pillow, you would be facing a rocky night's sleep.__2__
__3__
Flashlights are another camping item. Bring multiple flashlights and extra batteries, and also consider buying a camping lantern. Lanterns are great because they shed more light in all directions and stand on their own so that you can play cards or games at night.
The Anti-itch Cream
Keep away from mosquitoes, black flies and other biters. Don't forget the anti-itch cream to apply after insect bites.__4__ Ask doctors for which products to use.
Campfire Supplies
Matches stored in a plastic bag, dry firewood and dry newspapers are all you need for a campfire.__5__ Each campfire should have its own stone campfire spot and many also provide a cast-iron shelf for cooking on. In addition, there are other camping essentials, such as kitchen items, bottled food and water, toilet paper, first-aid kits, and books and games. All the above can enrich your outdoor camping.
A.Cards or games

No matter how old you are, your mom will always remain as one of the most important people in your life. Maybe you don't know how to express your appreciation and love to her on an ordinary day. __1__ Here are several things we can do this Mother's Day to show how much we appreciate and care for our mothers.
Give her flowers.2 You can show your love to your mom by giving her flowers that match her personality. Or, if you do not know your mom's favorite, carnations(康乃馨) could be your best choice.
Cook for her. Mothers usually are the ones who cook for us. Your mom will absolutely love it if you surprise her by taking over the kitchen and cooking something for her. Just make sure you clean up afterwards.
3 You can just do so describing how much your mother means to you. It can be very effective that your mom will keep them and always be reminded of how important she is to your lives as a family member.
Travel with her. Mothers work hard, so traveling can help her to relax and forget her problems. She will treasure the moment—wherever you go, just your presence. 4
Take her to a spa. Massages or spas(按摩保健) are for moms of all ages, and she will enjoy breaking the boredom of staying indoors the whole day. 5
Mother's Day is coming. It is a time to let Mom know she's special to you.
A.Write her a letter.
B.Remember her wedding anniversary.
C.A lot of us forget that the best gift to give her is ourselves.
D.Almost every girl appreciates flowers and so does your mother.
E.She remains the center of attention and respect for a child for a long time.
F.And this will offer your mom comfort and an increased sense of well-being.
G.However, Mother's Day is the special time when you can let her know how important she is to you.
C
Having a healthy family life can lower the risk of heart attack and boost your chance of living longer. __1__
Care for elders in a loving way
Caring for an elderly loved one is a wonderful way to show compassion and service, and it doesn't mean you have to sacrifice everything. __2__ Kids and marriages can be powerfully impacted by how these decisions are handled, both negatively and positively. They thoroughly think through the potential impact of moving an aging parent into the home or providing extended care. A good boundary with an aging parent is to do occasional outgoings.
Cultivate an attitude of gratitude
Healthy families set a culture of being grateful for the things you appreciate in life, big and small. Set up a respectful space where at the end of each day, each family member share what they are grateful for. __3__
Keep treats out of sight(and out of mind)
What you see is what you want to eat. __4__ Put the sugary treats out of sight and leave colorful fruits and vegetables out on the counter or on the most visible shelves in the fridge so that you're more likely to reach for a nutritious snack.
___5__
Healthy families will create a safe environment for healthy communication, where each individual feels like their feelings are acknowledged. When conflict arises, they don't have to agree with each other but they still need to acknowledge each other's feelings. They still feel their opinions are valued. They also learn tools for how conflicts can be resolved. No one shuts down, or runs away when there is disagreement. They work it out.

In cities like New York, Chicago and Houston, some skyscrapers and other landmarks now have "lights out" programs during key bird migration times in the fall and spring.

However, forgiveness is possible, and it can be surprisingly beneficial to your physical and mental health. People who forgive show less sadness, anger and stress and more hopefulness, according to a recent research.

Raising Confident Kids
Selfesteem(自尊) is a collection of beliefs or feelings we have about ourselves. Research shows that children with high selfesteem grow up to be more confident adults. Selfesteem building should start young. __1__ Praise actions
Young children need feedback. It’s how they measure their actions and it plays a role in learning from experience. Provide specific praise about actual actions performed and efforts made in the process. __2__
Identify strengths
Preschoolers are always watching each other. On the bright side, they learn new things from each other. On the other side, they can become selfcritical when they see a peer accomplishing something they still struggle to do. __3__ Tell your child to focus on his strengths when he starts to draw comparisons.
Foster(培养)a sense of belonging
Young children may not understand how peer pressure(同龄人的压力) works, but they feel it when they’re being excluded(排除). Show your children that they are important by listening to and responding to their needs and ideas. As much as possible, save grownup conversations for later so that you can have family conversations. __4__ __5__
As much as they need us, they also need to work on taking small steps towards independence. When they know they can do things, they feel more confident. Teach problem solving skills. Step back and let them work on challenges before jumping in to help.
