I’m not so sure about the English name of the flower that I going to talk about. It’s pretty small, about the same size of our fingertips, and it resembles the miniature version of sunflowers. I learned about this kind of flower when I was a kid. It’s all over the place in summer days. Once, I picked some and brought them home, and my parents told me what they were.
I like this kind of flower because unlike most fragile and vulnerable flowers that need to be protected and taken care of by people, it’s actually pretty tough. The places where they grow on are usually dry, and not suitable for any other kinds of flowers. But this kind of flower is able to grow well in such harsh conditions. They are like little soldiers keeping their heads up, and embracing the warm sunshine. Even so, they are just as beautiful and fragrant as other kinds of flowers. That’s what I like the most about them. What’s better, it also has great medical value. People in my hometown like to collect these flowers and dry them up, then use them to make tea. And the tea is believed to be able to help people stay away from diseases. I like the tea made by the flower a lot. It has good smell and taste. Once I caught a cold, I coughed a lot and suffered from running nose. My parents made me the tea, I drank it for a couple of days in a row, and surprisingly, I recovered soon without taking any medicine or going to see the doctor.
Describe something you do to keep healthy.

I’d like to talk about jogging.
Basically I jog everyday as long as the weather is fine. I prefer to do it one or two hours after dinner coz it’s not that healthy to do exercises right after meals. And I often choose to jog in the park, coz I think busy streets crowded with people are not convenient for me to jog.
As is often the case, I take much pleasure in doing it, especially when I feel kind of bored after work, jogging is like a perfect pastime for me. Besides, it is beneficial to my health. To begin with, it can tone up my muscles. Before I started jogging, I often felt pain in my neck, waist as I have to stay in front of computers all day long. but now, all the pains are gone for good. What is more, jogging is also helpful for my mental health. Whenever I’m in blue, jogging will always have the magic power to cheer me up. And I can also sort through my problems and my emotions through jogging, which has made me more focused and balanced.
Describe the most polite person you know.
You should say: who the person is; how you knew the person; what the person does to show politeness;and explain what you think about this person.
Speaking of the most polite person I know, the first one that comes into my mind is my neighbor Jack, who is an engineer in a small company.
In terms of appearance, Jack is of medium build and a little chubby. His eyes are not big but his smile makes him look friendly and kind. Actually, I have known Jack for only several months. However, I think he is definitely the most polite person I know coz he can always make people around him feel comfortable and respected.
For instance, every time Jack and I meet in the corridor, he will wave hello to me with a big smile, and then we will greet each other happily. Sometimes he even invites me to play computer games or watch the NBA games with him.
Besides, he has always been very helpful to me. Last week, I gotta carry a big heavy case upstairs, as I live on the eighth floor with no elevator in the building, I felt a little overwhelmed. Fortunately, Jack happened to pass by and he offered me a hand right away.
Moreover, Jack is well-mannered in court. Whenever we play basketball on the court downstairs, he always treats our teammates and opponents with respect.
He is really fun to be around.
In a word, I think Jack has shown me how important it is to possess politeness in our daily life.
Describe a tourist attraction you’ve been to.
You should say: where the place is; when do people normally visit there; what features the attraction has; and explain how you feel about this place.
Well, speaking of a tourist attraction I've been to, I would like to talk about Hainan island, a world-renowned tourist resort in the South part of China.
I went there last month with my families.
I have to say, it is a vision of beauty. I’m deeply fascinated by its breathtaking scenery. The sea is so clean that people can see the passing fish as far as fifty meters away at times. Just lying on the beach, feeling the soft white sand on my bare feet, taking in nothing but the continuous rhythm of waves, the sea salt in the air is enough to soothe my senses. Apart from that, I can also dive in the oceans, I don't have to be a professional diver to enjoy Hainan island. The experience of seeing the world undersea is really eye-opening. What is more, It is widely acknowledged that Hainan island is one of the best places for honeymoon trips. Therefore, maybe, one day I will go there again with my future husband.
Describe a popular band or singer in your country.
You should say:when they first became popular;what style of music they perform; who (what kinds of people) like this band or musician;and explain why you think they are popular.
I would like to talk about a Taiwanese singer-songwriter Chen Xinhong. People like to call him Ashin. He is the lead singer of a famous pop band called Mayday in China. In general, his songs are well liked by young generations.
I admire him coz he is extremely musically inclined. As you might know, most people were capable of no specialty in middle school, but he had already begun to compose! He not only writes songs for his band, but also many other famous pop singers. Many of his lyrics won big prizes. Moreover, most of his songs are uplifting. They convey positive meaning of perseverance. Each time I feel down in the dumps or stressed out, I will wear my earphones and put his songs on repeat. I will feel full of strength as I hear his songs.
Last but not least, Ashin is very versatile. Apart from his accomplishment in music, he has got a talent for design. He runs his own fashion clothing brand called Stayreal. Also he is actively engaged in other fields. It is amazing that he is even a member of the board of Taiwan Public Broadcasting System(PBS).
I really admire him and want to be a person exactly like him. It is not because of the fact that he is famous or successful but because he is successful at doing what he really likes.
Describe an important building in your city. You should say:where it is; what it is used for; how you know about this building; and explain how you feel about this building.
One of the most important buildings in my city would be the city hall, which is located in the heart of the city. It’s a place everyone in the city knows about, and because it is designed by a famous international architect, the building enjoys quite good reputation national-wide as well. As for how I felt about this building. First of all, it serves significant functions, which are the bases of the operation of the whole city. When you enter the grand hall, you will find counters that represent all functional bureaus. Let’s say you wanna register a company, once you’ve got all the documents prepared, you can go through all the counters and get everything done within a matter of hours. Quite impressive, right?
In addition, the building is an iconic landmark of the city. It looks a bit like a giant bird in flight, and it’s got three colours, blue, yellow and red, nothing like a conventional city hall. At first, I heard everyone criticize that it looked weird for a city hall to be shaped like that. But the more we look at it, the more we start to love it, cos it’s young, modern, and audacious, just like our city. And the bird resemblance is a good symbol of the city’s upward growth.
Describe an interesting country (except your own) that you like.

Well. I adore Italy very much. I don’t actually remember how I first knew it. Maybe it was in my geography class when my teacher told me that it shaped just like a boot. Very interesting, isn’t it?
Anyway, as I grow older and learn more about Italy, my affection for it is getting even more stronger. First of all, it is a wonderful country full of great food. As you may know, creamy cappuccino and espresso are originated from Italy. And Spaghetti is also a world-famous appetizing Italian food. As a foodie, how can I not love it? What’s more, its nation’s craze for fancy cars is also legendary. I always wonder if their streets are parked with fast cars like Ferrari or Maserati. If so, it must be awesome. Also, Italy is abundant with art, as you might know, Florence is the birthplace of Renaissance. It has such a far-reaching influence that so many Italian words about music or architecture were borrowed directly by English or other languages. Last but not least, there are a multitude of tourist attractions like Milan, the city of water Venice or the Leaning Tower of Pisa, just to name a few.
It might literally take days for me to talk about the interesting things about Italy. I really hope I can go to Italy and stay there for a period of time, so that I can have enough time to enjoy the authentic food, the landscapes and the artworks there.
Describe your favourite weather. You should say: what kind of weather it is; when this weather usually occurs; what you usually do during this weather; and explain why you like this type of weather.
Well, I’d say my favourite weather would have to be sunny weather, which I guess is the same for most people.
And as for when this weather usually occurs, well, from where I’m from, the sky is usually blue, and it is no exaggeration to say that it is sunny all year round. As long as the weather is sunny, I usually would do some jogging. I prefer to do it one or two hours after breakfast coz it’s not that healthy to do exercises right after meals.
Honestly speaking, as long as I don't go outdoors, weather is no concern of mine. But if I have to go to work, rainy days would be awful, coz my clothes will get wet even when I have the umbrella with me, which makes rainy days more intolerable. As to why I like sunny weather, I have to say, I take much pleasure in enjoying sunshine. Personally, the best way to do so is to do some exercises as well, especially when I feel kind of bored, it is like a perfect pastime for me. What is more, whenever I’m in blue, sunshine will always have the magic power to cheer me up. And I can also sort through my problems and my emotions through its brightness, which has made me more focused and balanced. So all in all, I guess I like sunny weather just because it makes my day.
what kind of equipment makes people lazy?

I think most household appliances make people lazy, such as washing machines, cleaning robots, dish washers. Some equipment like TV and computer also makes people less active. We do less sport and even socializing nowadays, instead, we spend the majority of our time in front of a screen.。
