设计理念
本节课为八年级下册第三单元Never Give UP 的阅读课。在EEC教材的 教学中我们常把每单元分为五部分：词汇课，听说课，阅读课，语法课， 和写作课。在本课中，我根据教材内容，将阅读课与写作课进行了合理的 整合，设计出不同的课堂活动, 引导学生进行阅读方法的总结和训练，并 进行写作的指导。学生在阅读过程中不再像以前一样，通篇精读，既费时 又费力，而现在运用多种阅读方法，能够迅速准确地在文章中找出有关的 信息并进行恰当的概括和总结，改变了阅读理解只停留在对所阅读文章的 理解层次上。而现在将积累应用于写作，两者相得益彰，互相促进。 从阅读方法的积累，到写作能力的培养 ，形成了阅读积累的输入到写作 的输出，培养了学生阅读能力的同时，也为写作能力的提高奠定了基础。 勇于将所学的知识融汇贯通，以达到真正应用语言的目的。

教材分析
初三（上）Unit 3 的阅读课以王焕生的故事 为主要内容，是单元教学的重点。《初中英语 课程标准》要求八年级学生达到四级目标，即 能读懂简单文章，能尝试使用不同资源，从口 头和书面材料中提取信息，扩展知识，解决简 单的问题并描述结果，能在学习中互相帮助， 分享学习成果。根据此目标的描述，结合初三 学生实际， 制定以下教学目标。
