WeChat and Micro-blog
With the rapidly development of the Internet technology especially the mobile internet and the widely use of the smart phone, the way we acquire information and communication method has been changed a lot. Nowadays, almost every of us have at least one intelligent terminal with various Apps or software to connect with the world, and the most important two of them probably are WeChat and Micro-blog. WeChat and Micro-blog are so prevalent and while both are social media platform and social communication platform, there are differences in terms of personal intercourse, information transfer mode and commercial use.
One of the major differences between WeChat and Micro-blog is the emphasis placed on personal social intercourse. WeChat focuses on social communication while Micro-blog places more weight on social media, though both have these features. Generally, contact with our friends and relatives will be strengthened by sending text, image, voice messages or call and video conversation to communicate with our acquaintances via WeChat, while we acquire and comment real-time event and information and get our fans(mostly are strangers in real life) in our Micro-blog. Although both of them have functions which are similar with the other, they have their own superiorities.
The second areas of differences are the information transfer mode on the two platforms. We share our life trends, express our emotions on our Moments(circle of friends) and comment and reply continually with each other intentionally. WeChat public platform provides a stage for individuals, organazitons and companies to show their influences. And for Micro-blog, we may be free as most of our fans are not very close to our self. Our true inside views and emotions tend to be expressed easily. At the same time, as the content is very short and real-time, there are mountains of advertisements and authorized Internet celebrities that have powerful mass influence, and information spread broadly in this way.
The third one is the push messages which are written by individuals or organazitions with commercial purpose or publicity purposes. For commerce, the number of their customers and potential users usually displays it’s vitality and its development trend. And definitely, business operators will not miss the chance to get more focus of people through the internet social platforms. They use WeChat to enhance the bonds with their old customers and develop new user by relationships, and vermicelli effect play a major to promote and conduct propaganda.
In conclusion, WeChat and Micro-blog really take an important part
in our daily life. As the product of the Internet Age, both of them distinguish themselves in their respective fields. In terms of personal intercourse, information transfer mode and commercial use, they are helpful and complementary. Only by using them properly and correctly, can these two tools service us better.。
