山上寺庙很多，著名的有福严寺、南台寺、藏经 殿、方广寺。福严寺规模很大，称为“南山第一古 刹”，寺右有一株1400余年的银杏树，树干粗壮， 枝叶茂盛。南台寺建于六朝，到现在已有1400多年。 日本佛教曹洞宗视南台寺为祖庭。藏经殿因明太祖 赐大藏经一部存放于此，故名藏经殿。其周围层峦 叠翠，古木参天，景色秀丽，附近有摇钱树、同根 生、连理枝等奇树以及允春亭、梳妆台、钓鱼台等 古迹。“藏经殿之秀”为南岳四绝之一。方广寺处 于南岳峰岭间，古树苍苍，流水潺潺，幽雅深邃， 因而有“方广寺之深”的说法。但是，南岳最大的 寺庙是位于衡山脚下的南岳庙。它规模宏大，布局 严谨，占地面积多达98500平方米，在南方一带也 是数一数二的大庙。南岳庙始建于唐，历代进行重 修、扩建，规模不断扩大。现存建筑是清代重修的。 整个庙宇有9进，包括正殿、寝宫、御书楼、盘龙 亭等建筑。正殿高22米，庄严肃穆，气势雄浑。殿 内有72根石柱，象征着衡山七十二峰。正殿中央供 奉着“南岳司天昭圣帝”，即祝融神君。
气势磅礴-东岳泰山
“山以岳遵，岳为东最”。自汉代我国确立“五岳”以来，泰山就居于 “五岳独尊”的地位。我国历代的封建帝王在这里举行隆重的封禅典礼， 文人墨客在这里流连观赏，吟咏赞叹。到泰山，既可以饱览历史文化的精 品，又可以领略大自然的神奇之美。异峰突起在华北平原大地上的泰山， 山势突兀挺拔，气势磅礴，颇有“擎天捧日”之势，通常被人们看做是崇 高、伟大的象征，成为中华民族的骄傲。 泰山主峰海拔1545米。名 为“玉皇顶”，又称“天柱 峰”，其相对高度为1391米， 是我国东部沿海地带大陆口 的第一高山。它山势峻拔高 挺，素有“泰山天下雄”之 誉。

• The Great Wall was renovated from time to time after the Qin Dynasty. A major renovation started with the founding of the Ming Dynasty in 1368, and took 200 years to complete. The wall we see today is almost exactly the result of this effort.
