很多同学在学校里从来没有用英文描述过数学图表，所以对图表题的语言特色不是很清楚，仍然把议论文的饱含感情色彩的词汇拿到task 1来用，结果导致写出的文章和平常不一致。
图表式作文是客观性写作，写作风格力求客观真实，最好不要太激情。
我们可以明显地看出，和议论文相比，图表题的语言比较“板”。
不过一个很有趣的现象是，它们也使用了我们在议论文部分推荐过的很多重点连词（再次强调，英文里面连词的数量很有限）
图表题的3个核心要求
我们首先要把握一个大方向，即要分清图表题和议论文的差异在哪里。

pie chart 饼状图
图表题和议论文最根本的差异就是图表题是客观性写作而议论文是主观性写作。
好的图表题有3个特点：

2 准确性
3 详尽性
1 客观性
好的图表作文，不应该有任何自己主观想象的成分。
图里面有什么我们介绍什么。
即使是结尾针对图表作出的总结性结论，也不能海阔天空随便写，而应该是根据图表的实际内容作出符合逻辑的总结归纳。
2准确性
图表里面的数据要力求精确，一定不能抄错。
不过，当一个特征点并没有落在一
个准确的坐标值上（比如500或者1000）时，我们还是可以进行合理的目测或者说个大概数值的。
3详尽性
这点容易被误解。
详尽，其实并不是让大家面面俱到，也不是说一定要把所有数字都抄一遍，而是在时间允许的情况下尽可能多地介绍一些。
图表题里有5类特征信息，即起点，拐点，终点，交点与变化趋势，如果题目里面出现了，是一定要介绍的。
其他的非特征数据，则是根据时间的情况，尽可能多介绍一些，如果非逼迫自己把所有的数字都抄一遍，在实战中很可能写不完或者导致真正重要的信息描述得并不彻底。
决定成败的3个准备工作
1 仔细审题
这一步看起来一是看图一定要看清楚单位，如果图上标出了km，millions，这样的单位可千万要抄到文章里，否则数量级就全错了；二是要记住，当数字实在看不准时，剑桥是允许你使用“大约”这类词的，比如about, around, just over, just under, approximately, roughly等。

完全遵循地道英文写作中“时态与发生时间一一对应”。
对于“此图表展示了……”或“由图可以看出……”或“此图表由……组成”这类陈述永恒事实的句型，其主句的谓语动词必定是用一般现在时。
