毕业典礼学生代表英文演讲稿Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, faculty and staff, parents, and fellow graduates,Good afternoon! It is truly an honor to stand before you today as the student representative of our graduating class. I would like to begin by expressing my heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported us throughout this incredible journey. Without your unwavering support and guidance, we would not be standing here today.Over the past years, we have encountered numerous challenges, overcome obstacles, and embraced opportunities for growth. Our time at this institution has shaped us into the individuals we are today – resilient, determined, and well-prepared to face the future.First and foremost, I would like to acknowledge our dedicated faculty and staff. Their passion for teaching and unwavering commitment to our education have played an integral role in our success. The guidance and knowledge they have imparted on us will forever be cherished. They have not only taught us academic lessons but have also instilled in us important life skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their unwavering support and belief in our abilities.Additionally, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to our families. You have been the pillars of support, providing us with love, encouragement, and sacrifices throughout our academic journey. Whether it be late nights helping us with our studies orattending every soccer game or ballet recital, your unwavering dedication has shaped our character and instilled in us the values of hard work and perseverance. Your presence here today is a testament to the pride and joy we have brought to your lives, and we are eternally grateful for your unwavering support. As we embark on the next chapter of our lives, let us not forget the friendships we have made during our time here. The bonds we have formed with our classmates will undoubtedly be cherished for a lifetime. These friendships have been a source of strength, laughter, and support throughout our academic journey. In times of stress and uncertainty, our classmates have lifted us up, pushed us to excel, and celebrated our achievements. Let us cherish these relationships and continue to support and uplift each other in the years to come.Graduation represents a milestone, a stepping stone towards the future we have all dreamed about and worked relentlessly for. However, it is essential to remember that graduation is not the end goal but rather the beginning of a new chapter. Today, we stand at the threshold of endless possibilities, ready to make our mark on the world. As we step into this unknown future, it is crucial that we approach it with courage, resilience, and an unwavering belief in ourselves. The journey ahead may not always be smooth sailing, but it is through adversity that we grow and discover our true potential. Let us embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and approach them with an indomitable spirit. Remember, it is during the darkest times that stars shine brightest. As we move forward, let us also not forget the importance of giving back. Our education and experiences have equipped us with a unique set of skills and knowledge. It is our responsibility to use these abilities to make a positive impact on the world around us. Let us strive to be compassionate, empathetic, and active members of society, always seeking opportunities to contribute to the greater good.In conclusion, today is a day of celebration, reflection, and gratitude. We have reached the end of one journey and the beginning of another. As we leave this institution, let us carry with us the memories, lessons, and friendships we have gained. Let us embrace the future with open minds and open hearts, confident in our abilities to conquer any challenges that come our way.Congratulations to the class of [year]! May the road ahead be filled with success, fulfillment, and happiness. Thank you.As we gather here today, we not only celebrate our individual achievements but also acknowledge the collective accomplishments of our class. Each one of us has faced unique challenges and overcome obstacles that have shaped us into the individuals we are today. Together, we have formed a community that is bound by shared experiences and a common goal of personal and academic growth. Our time at this institution has been marked by growth and transformation. We have been pushed outside of our comfort zones, encouraged to question and challenge our beliefs, and provided with opportunities to explore our interests and passions. We have experienced countless moments of triumph and failure, andthrough it all, we have emerged stronger and more resilient. When we first started this journey, many of us may have had doubts about our capabilities and whether we could successfully navigate the demands of college life. However, we have persevered and proved to ourselves that we are capable of achieving greatness. We have learned the importance of hard work, dedication, and self-belief.Our education has not been limited to textbooks and lectures. We have been fortunate enough to learn from professors who have a genuine passion for their subjects, classmates who have diverse perspectives and experiences, and extracurricular activities that have allowed us to explore our interests beyond the classroom. These experiences have broadened our horizons, cultivated our critical thinking skills, and taught us the value of collaboration and teamwork. With the knowledge and skills we have acquired, we are now ready to enter the next phase of our lives, whether it be further education, entering the workforce, or pursuing other endeavors. The world we are about to step into is ever-changing, with new challenges and opportunities constantly emerging. However, because of the education and experiences we have gained, I have no doubt that we are well-prepared to face whatever lies ahead. As we embark on this new chapter, it is important to stay true to ourselves and our passions. Let us not be swayed by societal expectations or the pursuit of success at the expense of our happiness. The world needs individuals who are not onlysuccessful but also compassionate, empathetic, and committed to making a positive impact. In addition to pursuing our own goals and dreams, let us also remember to uplift those around us. We have been fortunate enough to receive an education, but not everyone has had the same opportunities. Let us use our privilege to advocate for those who are marginalized and work towards creating a more just and equitable society. As we say our goodbyes and move forward on our individual journeys, let us not forget the importance of community and connection. Stay in touch with your classmates, support one another in times of need, and continue to foster the bonds that were formed here. Remember that we are part of something greater than ourselves. In conclusion, today marks an important milestone in our lives. We have achieved a great feat, and we should be proud of our accomplishments. However, let us not rest on our laurels. As we leave this institution, let us carry with us the values that have shaped us, the skills that have empowered us, and the memories that will forever be etched in our hearts.Congratulations once again to the class of [year]. 毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿Ladies and gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening,Firstly, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the faculty members, parents, friends and fellow graduates who have gathered here today to celebrate this momentous occasion - our graduation. It is indeed an honor to stand before you as a representative of this exceptional graduating class.Today marks the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. For many of us, it has not been an easy journey. We have faced numerous challenges and obstacles along the way. However, it is precisely these experiences that have shaped us into the resilient individuals we are today.During our time at this prestigious institution, we have not only acquired knowledge, but we have also learned valuable life skills that will serve us well in the future. We have learned to think critically and to approach problems from different perspectives. We have learned the importance of teamwork and collaboration. We have learned to embrace diversity and to acknowledge the value that each individual brings to the table. These are the qualities that will enable us to thrive in an increasingly globalized and interconnected world. As we stand here on the threshold of the next chapter of our lives, we are filled with a mixture of excitement and apprehension. On one hand, we are eager to embark on new adventures, to pursue ourpassions, and to make a positive impact in our chosen fields. On the other hand, we are acutely aware of the challenges that lie ahead. The job market is fiercely competitive, and the world is fraught with complex issues that demand innovative solutions.Nevertheless, it is important to remember that we are equipped with the tools necessary to overcome these challenges. We have been nurtured in an environment that has fostered intellectual curiosity and personal growth. We have been guided by mentors who have instilled in us a sense of purpose and a drive to make a difference. We have been supported by family and friends who have stood by us through thick and thin.Today, as we receive our diplomas, let us not forget those who have played a significant role in shaping who we are today. Let us take a moment to express our gratitude to our parents, whose unwavering support and sacrifice have made our education possible. Let us thank our professors, whose passion and dedication have ignited in us a love for learning. Let us acknowledge our friends, who have been our pillars of strength during times of stress and uncertainty. Now, as we step out into the world, it is important to remember that success is not measured solely by material wealth or professional accomplishments. True success lies in the relationships we build, the impact we make, and the happiness we experience along the way. It is crucial that we strive for a balanced and fulfilling life, one that encompasses not only career achievements, but also personal growth, health, and meaningful relationships. In conclusion, I would like to remind my fellow graduates that we are the architects of our own destiny. As we embark on this new chapter, let us seize every opportunity, embrace every challenge, and never lose sight of our dreams. Let us be guided by our values, our passions, and our desire to leave the world a better place than we found it.Thank you and congratulations to the Class of [year].Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for your kind attention. Now, I would like to delve deeper into some of the key lessons and experiences that have shaped us during our time at this esteemed institution.Throughout our academic journey, we have encountered a myriad of subjects and disciplines. We have absorbed knowledge from textbooks, engaged in rigorous debates in classrooms, and conducted countless experiments in labs. However, it is not just the factual information we have acquired that is of value, but rather the skills and mindset we have developed. One of the most important skills we have honed is critical thinking. We have been taught not to accept information at face value, but to question, analyze, and evaluate it. This ability to think independently and critically will be a crucial asset as we face the challenges of the real world. In an era of information overload and fake news, the ability to discern reliable sources and to think critically is more important than ever.Another valuable skill we have acquired is the ability to collaborate and work in teams. Throughout our studies, we havebeen consistently placed in group projects, where we have had to navigate differences in opinions, work through conflicts, and harness the strengths of each team member. These experiences have taught us the importance of effective communication, compromise, and the power of collective intelligence. We have learned that no great achievements are accomplished alone, and success is often the result of a collaborative effort.Furthermore, our time at this institution has exposed us to a diverse range of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. We have been challenged to step outside of our own comfort zones and engage with people who hold different beliefs and values. Through this exposure, we have learned to embrace diversity and to appreciate the richness that comes from a multitude of perspectives. Our experiences with diversity have taught us acceptance, empathy, and the importance of building inclusive communities.Beyond academic pursuits, our time at this institution has also been marked by personal growth. We have navigated countless personal challenges and setbacks along the way. We have experienced moments of self-doubt, exhaustion, and even failure. However, it is through these trials that we have discovered resilience and the strength to persevere. It is in these moments that we have learned the power of grit and determination. Finally, as we stand on the precipice of this new chapter, it is important to remember that success is not solely defined by professional achievements. It is vital to prioritize our own well-being and to cultivate a sense of purpose and fulfillment in our lives. To achieve this, we must strike a balance between work andpersonal life, and never lose sight of our passions and the things that bring us joy.In conclusion, the skills, experiences, and values that we have gained during our time at this institution have prepared us for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. As we step out into the world, let us carry these lessons with us and strive to make a positive impact in our communities, our professions, and the world at large. May we continue to learn, grow, and contribute to the betterment of society.Thank you, and once again, congratulations to the Class of [year].。

Good morning/afternoon/evening! It is with great pleasure and a sense of accomplishment that I stand before you today to address the graduating class of [Year]. As we gather here in this magnificent hall, filled with the echoes of laughter, tears, and countless memories, I am reminded of the incredible journey that we have all embarked upon together.Firstly, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of you. You have worked tirelessly, faced challenges head-on, and emerged as remarkable individuals ready to take on the world. Today marks the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. You have earned this moment, and I am proud to be a part of it.As we reflect on our time at [University Name], it is impossible not to feel a sense of nostalgia. The halls of this institution have become our second home, where we have grown, learned, and discovered ourselves. From the early days of orientation to the final moments of graduation, we have experienced a rollercoaster of emotions, challenges, and triumphs.During our time here, we have been exposed to a diverse range of subjects, cultures, and ideas. We have had the opportunity to broaden our horizons, challenge our preconceived notions, and develop critical thinking skills that will serve us well in the years to come. The knowledge and skills that we have acquired are not just academic; they are the foundation upon which we will build our future careers, relationships, and lives. As we move forward, it is important to remember that our education does not end today. The learning process is a lifelong journey, and the true value of our education lies in how we apply what we have learned toreal-world situations. It is about embracing change, adapting to new challenges, and continuously seeking personal and professional growth. In this speech, I would like to share a few thoughts that I hope will resonate with you as you step into the next chapter of your lives.Firstly, embrace the power of diversity. Our university has been a melting pot of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. The friendships we have forged, the conversations we have had, and the experiences we have shared have enriched our lives in ways that cannot be measured. As you go out into the world, remember that diversity is a strength, not a weakness. Embrace different viewpoints, challenge yourself to step outof your comfort zone, and be open to new ideas.Secondly, never underestimate the power of perseverance. The road to success is rarely smooth, and there will be moments when you will feel like giving up. But remember, it is during these challenging times that you will grow the most. Learn from your failures, be resilient, and keep pushing forward. Believe in yourself, and never lose sight of your goals.Thirdly, cultivate a sense of gratitude. It is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life and forget to appreciate the people and opportunities that have shaped us. Take a moment to acknowledge the mentors, friends, and family who have supported you along the way. Show appreciation for the lessons learned, the experiences gained, and the memories created. Gratitude will not only enrich your own life but will also inspire those around you.Fourthly, always stay curious. The world is a vast and fascinating place, and there is always more to learn. Stay open to new experiences, be willing to take risks, and never stop asking questions. Curiosity will fuel your passion, drive your innovation, and keep you growing as an individual.Lastly, remember that success is not solely defined by the achievements you accumulate but also by the impact you have on others. As you go out into the world, be a force for good. Use your knowledge and skills to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Whether it is through community service, social activism, or simply being a kind and compassionate person, the impact you have on those around you will befar greater than any accolade or recognition you may receive. As you leave this institution, take with you the lessons learned, the friendships formed, and the memories created. Let them be the guidinglight on your journey ahead. Remember that you are part of a community that will always support and uplift you, regardless of where life takes you.In closing, I want to leave you with a quote from Nelson Mandela: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." You have been equipped with this weapon, and now it is time to use it wisely. Go out into the world with confidence, determination, and passion. You have the power to make a difference, and the world needs your unique talents and perspectives.Congratulations, Class of [Year]. Thank you for allowing me to sharethis special moment with you. May your future be filled with endless possibilities, success, and happiness.Thank you.。

大学英文毕业典礼演讲稿Dear fellow graduates, distinguished guests, and esteemed faculty members, It is a great honor to stand here today and address the class of [insert graduation year]. We have all come a long way since the first day we stepped onto this campus, full of hope, enthusiasm, and perhaps some trepidation. Today, we stand here proudly as graduates of this esteemed university, ready to take on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. As I look back on our journey, I am filled with mixed emotions. On one hand, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude towards the university, our professors, and our families for their unwavering support throughout our academic journey. It is because of them that we were able to reach this milestone. On the other hand, as we leave this place that has been our home for the past few years, we are also filled with a sense of apprehension about what lies ahead. But if there is one thing that we have learned during our time here, it is that with hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to our goals, we can achieve anything we set our minds to. This applies just as much to our lives after college as it does to our academic pursuits. As we step out into the world, we face a rapidly changing world that is full of challenges and uncertainties. The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated how quickly our world can change, and how important it is to be adaptable and resilient in the face of adversity. But it is not just the pandemic that has made our future uncertain. We live in a world that is grappling with a host of complex problems, including climate change, political polarization, economic inequality, and social injustice. As graduates of this esteemed university, we have a responsibility to use our knowledge, skills, and experience to respond to these challenges and work towards a better future for all.But how do we do this? How do we make a difference? There are many ways, of course. Some of us may pursue careers in public service or non-profits, working to improve the lives of the most vulnerable. Some of us may enter the private sector, using our entrepreneurial skills to create new products or services that improve people’s lives and contribute to sustainable development.Regardless of the path we choose, I believe that there are three key traits that we must cultivate if we wish to make a meaningful impact on the world.Firstly, we must be passionate about what we do. Passion is what drives us to work tirelessly towards our goals, even in the face of obstacles and setbacks. Without passion, our work becomes drudgery, and we are unlikely to make much of an impact.Secondly, we must be lifelong learners. The world is changing at an unprecedented rate, and it is essential that we keep up with these changes if we are to remain relevant and effective. We must be curious, open-minded, and willing to learn from both our successes and failures. Finally, we must have empathy. Empathy is the ability to put oneself in the shoes of others and understand their perspectives, needs, and desires. It is the foundation of effective collaboration, problem-solving, and social change. Without empathy, we are likely to be unresponsive to the needs of others and to miss important opportunities for growth and development. In conclusion, I want to congratulate each and every one of you on this momentous occasion. Graduating from university is a significant accomplishment, and it is a testament to your hard work, dedication, and perseverance. As we move forward into the next chapter of our lives, let us remember these three traits: passion, lifelong learning, and empathy. If we can embody these qualities, I am confident that we will go on to make a positive difference in the world.Thank you, and congratulations!。

Good morning! Today, I stand before you as a proud representative of the graduating class of [Year]. It is with great pleasure and a mix of emotions that I address you all at this significant moment in our lives. We have come a long way since we first stepped into this esteemed institution, and today, we are about to embark on a new journey. I would like to take this opportunity to share some thoughts and insights that I hope will inspire and motivate us as we move forward.Firstly, let me express my heartfelt gratitude to the faculty, staff, and administration of [University/College] for their unwavering support and guidance throughout our academic journey. Your dedication has been instrumental in shaping us into the individuals we are today. We owe you a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid. As we gather here today, we are not only celebrating the end of our academic careers but also the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. This moment marks the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, and sacrifice. We have faced numerous challenges, overcome obstacles, and emerged stronger and more resilient. Today, we stand at the threshold of a world full of opportunities and possibilities. As we embark on this new journey, let us remember the lessons we have learned during our time here. The first lesson I would like to share is the importance of lifelong learning. The world is constantly evolving, and we must be willing to adapt and grow with it. Education does not end with graduation; it is a continuous process that we must embrace throughout our lives. Let us never stop seeking knowledge, exploring new ideas, and challenging ourselves to become better individuals. The second lesson I would like to emphasize is the value of teamwork and collaboration. Our time here has taught us that no one can achieve greatness alone. We have learned to work together, share our ideas, and support one another. In the real world, we will face numerous challenges that require us to collaborate and pool our resources. Let us carry this spirit of teamwork with us as we move forward, and let us never underestimate the power of unity.Another crucial lesson we have learned is the importance of resilience and perseverance. Life is not always smooth sailing, and we will undoubtedly face setbacks and failures along the way. However, it is how we respond to these challenges that will define us. Let us never give up in the face of adversity; instead, let us use these experiences as stepping stones to our success. Remember, every failure is a lesson learned, and every setback is an opportunity for growth. As we step into the real world, it is essential to remain grounded and compassionate. Let us never lose sight of the values that have guided us throughout our academic journey. Be humble, respect others, and always strive to make a positive impact on the world around us. We have the power to create a better future, and it is our responsibility to usethat power wisely. One of the most important lessons we have learned here is the value of self-belief and self-worth. As we leave this institution, let us carry with us the confidence and self-assurance that we have earned through our hard work and dedication. Never doubt your abilities, and never let others define you. Believe in yourself, and you will be able to achieve anything you set your mind to.As we move forward, let us also remember the importance of gratitude. Take a moment to reflect on the people who have supported and encouraged you throughout your journey. Express your appreciation to them, and never forget the role they have played in your success. Gratitude is a powerful force that can transform our lives and bring us closer to the people we care about. In conclusion, today marks the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. As we leave this institution, let us carry with us the lessons we have learned, the values we hold dear, and the dreams we aspire to achieve. Remember, the future is ours to shape, and we have the power to make it a better place. As we embark on this new journey, let us never forget the friendships we have formed, the memories we have created, and the knowledge we havegained. These experiences have shaped us into the individuals we are today, and they will continue to guide us as we move forward.Congratulations, Class of [Year]! Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and you have earned the right to be proud of yourselves. The world is waiting for you, and I have no doubt that you will make a positive impact on it. Go out there and make your mark, and never lose sight of the dreams that have driven you thus far.Thank you for allowing me to share these thoughts with you today. May the road ahead be filled with success, happiness, and fulfillment. Good luck, and Godspeed!Thank you.。

关于大学毕业典礼英文演讲稿5篇大学毕业典礼英文演讲稿【篇1】Madam President Faust, members of the Harvard Corporation and the Board of Overseers, faculty, family, friends, and, most importantly, todays graduates,Thank you for letting me share this wonderful day with you.I am not sure I can live up to the high standards of Harvard Commencement speakers. Lastyear, J.K. Rowling, the billionaire novelist, who started as a classics student, graced thispodium. The year before, Bill Gates, the mega-billionaire philanthropist and computer nerdstood here. Today, sadly, you have me. I am not wealthy, but at least I am a nerd.I am grateful to receive an honorary degree from Harvard, an honor that means more to methan you might care to imagine. You see, I was the academic black sheep of my family. Myolder brother has an M.D./Ph.D. from MIT and Harvard while my younger brother has a lawdegree from Harvard. When I was awarded a Nobel Prize, I thought my mother would besatisfied. Not so. When I called her on the morning of the announcement, she replied,"Thatsnice, but when are you going to visit me next." Now, as the last brother with a degree fromHarvard, maybe, at last, she will be satisfied.Another difficulty with giving a Harvard commencement address is that some of you maydisapprove of the fact that I have borrowed material from previous speeches. I ask that youforgive me for two reasons.First, in order to have impact, it is important to deliver the same message more than once. Inscience, it is important to be the first person to make a discovery, but it is even more importantto be the last person to make that discovery.Second, authors who borrow from others are following in the footsteps of the best. Ralph WaldoEmerson, who graduated from Harvard at the age of 18, noted "All my best thoughts werestolen by the ancients." Picasso declared "Good artists borrow. Great artists steal." Why shouldcommencement speakers be held to a higher standard?I also want to point out the irony of speaking to graduates of an institution that would haverejected me, had I the chutzpah to apply. I am married to "Dean Jean," the former dean ofadmissions at Stanford. She assures me that she would have rejected me, if given the chance. When I showed her a draft of this speech, she objected strongly to my use of the word"rejected." She never rejected applicants; her letters stated that "we are unable to offer youadmission." I have difficulty understanding the difference. After all, deans of admissions ofhighly selective schools are in reality, "deans of rejection." Clearly, I have a lot to learn aboutmarketing. My address will follow the classical sonata form of commencement addresses. The firstmovement, just presented, were light-hearted remarks. This next movement consists ofunsolicited advice, which is rarely valued, seldom remembered, never followed. As Oscar Wildesaid,"The only thing to do with good advice is to pass it on. It is never of any use to oneself."So, here comes the advice. First, every time you celebrate an achievement, be thankful tothose who made it possible. Thankyour parents and friends who supported you, thank yourprofessors who were inspirational, and especially thank the other professors whoseless-than-brilliant lectures forced you to teach yourself. Going forward, the ability to teach yourself is thehallmark of a great liberal arts education and will be the key to your success. To your fellowstudents who have added immeasurably to your education during those late night discussions, hug them. Also, of course, thank Harvard. Should you forget, theres an alumni association toremind you. Second, in your future life, cultivate a generous spirit. In all negotiations, dontbargain for the last, little advantage. Leave the change on the table. In your collaborations, always remember that "credit" is not a conserved quantity. In a successful collaboration, everybody gets 90 percent of the credit.大学毕业典礼英文演讲稿【篇2】Answering speechDear professors and dear friends of China Jiliang University,I’m honored to address you on behalf of all the graduations this year.I would like to thank my parents, classmates, and friends who helped us ,and encouraged and supported us as we worked towards to our graduate degrees.I also want to thank Jiliang’s faculty members who served as our instructors, mentor, and friends, relatives, like Prof.Yu, Prof.Gao, Mrs. Liang. Through their commitments, they have inspired us to achieve and guided us to our dream. On this stage, at my graduation ceremony, when I look back my four years at Jiliang, my mind is filled with memories. May be you will ask me: do you have special to share? Yes, I want to share few simple but critical suggestions with you and with for the coming juniors: First, be work hard and think smart.Secondly, believe things happened for a reason.Thirdly, just as Jobs said at the graduation ceremony in Stanford University, stay hungry, stay foolish.Today, we will graduate from China Jiliang University, but we will be with Jiliang forever. Let us think forward and work together to make the new history of China Jiliang University.Thank you.大学毕业典礼英文演讲稿【篇3】When I was in middle school, a poisonous spider bit my right hand.I ran to my mom for help—but instead of taking me to a doctor, my mom set my hand on fire. After wrapping my hand withseveral layers of cotton, then soaking it in wine, she put a chopstick into my mouth, and ignited the cotton. Heat quickly penetrated the cotton and began to roast my hand. The searing pain made me want to scream, but the chopstick prevented it. All I could do was watch my hand burn - one minute, then two minutes –until mom put out the fire. You see, the part of China I grew up in was a rural village, and at that time pre-industrial. When I was born, my village had no cars, no telephones, no electricity, not even running water. And we certainly didn’t have access to modern medical resources. There was no doctor my mother could bring me to see about my spider bite. For those who study biology, you may have grasped the science behind my mom’s cure: heat deactivates proteins, and a spider’s venom is simply a form of protein. It’s coolhow that folk remedy actually incorporates basic biochemistry, isn’t itBut I am a PhD student in biochemistry at Harvard, I now know that better, less painful and less risky treatments existed. So I can’t help but ask myself, why I didn’t receive oneat the time.Fifteen years have passed since that incident. I am happy to report that my hand is fine. But this question lingers, and I continue to be troubled by the unequal distribution of scientific knowledge throughout the world. We have learned to edit the human genome and unlock many secrets of how cancer progresses. We can manipulate neuronal activity literally with the switch of a light. Each year brings more advances in biomedical research-exciting, transformative accomplishments. Yet, despite the knowledge we have amassed, we haven’t been so successful in deploying it to where it’s needed most. According to the World Bank, twelve percent of the world’s population lives on less than $2 a day. Malnutrition kills more than 3 million children annually. Three hundred million peopleare afflicted by malaria globally. All over the world, we constantly see these problems of poverty, illness, and lack of resources impeding the flow of scientific information. Lifesaving knowledge we take for granted in the modern world is often unavailable in these underdeveloped regions. And infar too many places, people are still essentially trying to cure a spider bite with fire. While studying at Harvard, I saw how scientific knowledge can help others in simple, yet profound ways. The bird flu pandemic in the 2000s looked to my village like a spell cast by demons. Our folk medicine didn’t even have half-measures to offer. What’s more, farmers didn’t know the difference between common cold and flu; they didn’t understand that the flu was much more lethal than the common cold. Most people were also unaware that the virus could transmit across different species. So when I realized that simple hygiene practices like separating different animal species could contain the spread of the disease, and that I could help make this knowledge available to my village, that was my first ―Aha‖moment as a budding scientist. But it was more than that: it was also a vital inflection point in my own ethical development, my ownself-understanding as a member of the global community.Harvard dares us to dream big, to aspire to change the world. Here on this Commencement Day, we are probably thinking of grand destinations and big adventures that await us. As for me, I am also thinking of the farmers in my village. My experiencehere reminds me how important it is for researchersto communicateour knowledge to those who need it. Because by using the sciencewe already have, wecould probably bring my village and thousands like it into the world you and I take for granted every day. And that’s an impact every one of us can make! But the question is, will we make the effort or notMore than ever before, our society emphasizes science and innovation. But an equally important emphasis should be on distributing the knowledge we have to where it’s needed. Changing the world doesn’t mean thateveryone has to find the next big thing. It can be as simple as becoming better communicators, and finding more creative ways to pass on the knowledge we have to people like my mom and the farmers in their local community. Our society also needs to recognize that the equal distribution of knowledge is a pivotal step of human development, and work to bring this into reality. And if we do that, then perhaps a teenager in rural China who is bitten by a spider will not have to burn his hand, but will know to seek a doctor instead.大学毕业典礼英文演讲稿【篇4】Honorable teachers, principles, dear parents and students:Good morning to you all. On this sunny and unforgettable day, we gladly welcome you to our grade 12’s graduation ceremony. Two years ago, when we first came to this program and began our three years of high school education. You will walk towards the light of the glory of tomorrow, with our best wishes from the bottom of our hearts! Go for it Best of Luck,TheGrade11’s大学毕业典礼英文演讲稿【篇5】Unlike any other creature on this planet, humans can learn and understand, without having experienced. They can think themselves into other people’s minds, imagine themselves into other people’s places.Of course, this is a power, like my brand of fictional magic, that is morally neutral. One might use such an ability to manipulate, or control, just as much as to understand or sympathise. And many prefer not to exercise their imaginations at all. They choose to remain comfortably within the bounds of their own experience, never troubling to wonder how it would feel to have been born other than they are. They can refuse to hear screams or to peer inside cages; they can close their minds and hearts to any suffering that does not touch them personally; they can refuse to know.I might be tempted to envy people who can live that way, except that I do not think they have any fewer nightmares than I do. Choosing to live in narrow spaces can lead to a form of mental agoraphobia, and that brings its own terrors. I think the wilfully unimaginative see more monsters. They are often more afraid. What is more, those who choose not to empathize may enable real monsters. For without ever committing an act of outright evil ourselves, we collude with it, through our own apathy. One of the many things I learned at the end of that Classics corridor down which I ventured at the age of 18, in search of something I could not then define, was this, written by the Greek author Plutarch: What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality. That is an astonishing statement and yet proven a thousand times every day of our lives. It expresses, in part, our inescapable connection with the outside world, the fact that we touch other people’s lives simply by existing. But how much more are you, Harvard graduates of 20XX, likely to touch other people’s lives? Your intelligence, your capacity for hard work, the education you have earned and received, give you unique status, and unique responsibilities. Even your nationality sets you apart. The great majority of you belong to the world’s only remaining superpower. The way you vote, the way you live, the way you protest, the pressure you bring to bear on your government, has an impact way beyond your borders. That is your privilege, and your burden. If you choose to use your status and influence to raise your voice on behalf of those who have no voice; if you choose to identify not only with the powerful, but with the powerless; if you retain the ability to imagine yourself into the lives of those who do not have your advantages, then it will not only be your proud families who celebrate your existence, but thousands and millions of people whose reality you have helped transform for the better. We do not need magic to change the world, wecarry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.I am nearly finished. I have one last hope for you, which is something that I already had at 21. The friends with whom I sat on graduation day have been my friends for life. They are my children’s godparents, the people to whom I’ve been able to turn in times of trouble, friends who have been kind enough not to sue me when I’ve used their names for Death Eaters. At our graduation we were bound by enormous affection, by our shared experience of a time that could never come again, and, of course, by the knowledge that we held certain photographic evidence that would be exceptionally valuable if any of us ran for Prime Minister. So today, I can wish you nothing better than similar friendships. And tomorrow, I hope that even if you remember not a single word of mine, you remember those of Seneca, another of those old Romans I met when I fled down the Classics corridor, in retreat from career ladders, in search of ancient wisdom:。

毕业典礼英语演讲稿(精选4篇)毕业典礼英语演讲稿篇1i am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. i never graduated from college. truth be told, this is the closest i've ever gotten to a college graduation.today i want to tell you three stories from my life. that's it. no big deal. just three stories.the first story is about connecting the dots.i dropped out of reed college after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before i really quit. so why did i drop out?it started before i was born. my biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. she felt very strongly that i should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife. except that when i popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl. so my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking: "we have an unexpected baby boy; do you want him?" they said: "of course." my biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. she refused to sign the final adoption papers. she only relented a few months later when my parents promised that i would someday go to college.and 17 years later i did go to college. but i naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. after six months, i couldn't see the value in it. i had no idea what i wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. and here i was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. so i decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out ok. it was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions i ever made. the minute i dropped out i could stop taking the required classes that didn't interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.it wasn't all romantic. i didn't have a dorm room, so i slept on the floor in friends' rooms, i returned coke bottles for the 5 deposits to buy food with, and i would walk the 7 miles across town every sunday night to get one good meal a week at the hare krishna temple. i loved it. and much of what i stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. let me give you one example: reed college at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed. because i had dropped out and didn't have to take the normal classes, i decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this. i learned about serif and san serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great. it was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can't capture, and i found it fascinating.none of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life. but ten years later, when we were designing the first macintosh computer, it all came back to me. and we designed it all into the mac. it was the first computer with beautiful typography. if i had never dropped in on that single course in college, the mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. and since windows just copied the mac, its likely that no personal computer would have them. if i had never dropped out, i would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do. of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when i was in college. but it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years later.again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. you have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. this approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.my second story is about love and loss.i was lucky – i found what i loved to do early in life. woz and i started apple in my parents garage when i was 20. we worked hard, and in 10 years apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4000 employees. we had just released our finest creation - the macintosh - a yearearlier, and i had just turned 30. and then i got fired. how can you get fired from a company you started?well, as apple grew we hired someone who i thought was very talented to run the company with me, and for the first year or so things went well. but then our visions of the future began to diverge and eventually we had a falling out. when we did, our board of directors sided with him. so at 30 i was out. and very publicly out. what had been the focus of my entire adult life was gone, and it was devastating.i really didn't know what to do for a few months. i felt that i had let the previous generation of entrepreneurs down - that i had dropped the baton as it was being passed to me. i met with david packard and bob noyce and tried to apologize for screwing up so badly. i was a very public failure, and i even thought about running away from the valley. but something slowly began to dawn on me – i still loved what i did. the turn of events at apple had not changed that one bit. i had been rejected, but i was still in love. and so i decided to start over.i didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. the heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. it freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.during the next five years, i started a company named next, another company named pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife.pixar went on to create the worlds first computer animated feature film, toy story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world. in a remarkable turn of events, apple bought next, i retuned to apple, and the technology we developed at next is at the heart of apple's current renaissance. and laurene and i have a wonderful family together.i'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if i hadn't been fired from apple. it was awful tasting medicine, but i guess the patient needed it.sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. don't lose faith. i'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that i loved what i did.you've got to find what you love. and that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. and the only way to do great work is to love what you do. if you haven't found it yet, keep looking. don't settle. as with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. and, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. so keep looking until you find it. don't settle.my third story is about death.when i was 17, i read a quote that went something like: "if you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." it made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, i have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "if today were the last day of。

毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿1Dear professors and dear friends of China Jiliang University, I’m honored to address you on behalf of all the graduations this year.I would like to thank my parents, classmates, and friends who helped us ,and encouraged and supported us as we worked towards to our graduate degrees.I also want to thank Jiliang’s faculty members who served as our instructors, mentor, and friends, relatives, like Prof.Yu, Prof.Gao, Mrs. Liang. Through their commitments, they have inspired us to achieve and guided us to our dream. On this stage, at my graduation ceremony, when I look back my four years at Jiliang, my mind is filled with memories. May be you will ask me: do you have special to share? Yes, I want to share few simple but critical suggestions with you and with for the coming juniors:First, be work hard and think smart.Secondly, believe things happened for a reason.Thirdly, just as Jobs said at the graduation ceremony in Stanford University, stay hungry, stay foolish.Today, we will graduate from China Jiliang University, but we will be with Jiliang forever. Let us think forward and work together to make the new history of China Jiliang University.Thank you.毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿2Unlike any other creature on this planet, humans can learn and understand, without having experienced. One of the many things I learned at the end of that Classics corridor down which I ventured at the age of 18, in search of something I could not then define, was this, written by the Greekauthor Plutarch: What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality. That is an astonishing statement and yet proven a thousand times every day of our lives. It expresses, in part, our inescapable connection with the outside world, the fact that we touch other people’s lives simply by existing. But how much more are you, Harvard graduates of 2008, likely to touch other people’s lives? We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.I am nearly finished. I have one last hope for you, which is something that I already had at 21. The friends with whom I sat on graduation day have been my friends for life. They are my children’s godparents, the people to whom I’ve been able to turn in times of trouble, friends who have been kind enough notto sue me when I’ve used their names for Death Eaters. At our graduation we were bound by enormous affection, by our shared experience of a time that could never come again, and, of course, by the knowledge that we held certain photographic evidence that would be exceptionally valuable if any of us ran for Prime Minister. So today, I can wish you nothing better than similar friendships. And tomorrow, I hope that even if you remember not a single word of mine, you remember those of Seneca, another of those old Romans I met when I fled down the Classics corridor, in retreat from career ladders, in search of ancient wisdom:毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿3You must believe in yourself and in your work. When our first Batman movie broke all those box-office records, I received a phone call from that United Artists exec who, years before, had told me I was out of my mind. Now he said, “Michael, Im just calling to congratulate you on the success of Batman. I always said you were a visionary.” You see the poin t here —dont believe them when they tell you how bad you are or how terrible your ideas are, but also, dont believe them when they tell you how wonderful you are and how great your ideas are. Just believe in yourself and youll do just fine. And, oh yes, dont then forget to market yourself and your ideas. Use both sides of your brain. You must have a high threshold for frustration. Take it from the guy who was turned down by every studio in Hollywood. You must knock on doors until your knuckles bleed. Doors will slam in your face. You must pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and knock again. Its the only way to achieve your goals in life.毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿4Sheryl Sandberg told a graduating class of TsinghuaUniversity that great leaders want genuine enthusiasm, something she said her late husband, Dave Goldberg, always had.雪莉·桑德伯格鼓励清华大学毕业学子说,伟大的领袖需要“真正的激情”,而这一点她和她已故先生戴夫·哥德伯格(Dave Goldberg)一直怀有。
