教学内容:条件状语从句

教学目标:

1 知识目标:正确运用if 引导的条件状语从句

2 能力目标:能用if 引导的条件状语从句作出假设,用will谈论结果。

3 情感目标:本课时围绕party展开话题,贴近学生生活,符合他们热爱休闲的

心理,可以提高他们学习英语的兴趣,积极参与英语实践活动。

教学策略和方法:

通过pair work和groupwork,鼓励学生对if引出的结果进行推测。

教学重点、难点:

(1)重点句型:—I think I’m going to go to the party with Karen and Ann.

—If you do, you’ll have a great time.

(2)正确使用if 引导的条件状语从句

Teaching Procedures

Step 1 Warming up and Leading in

1. Enjoy an English song : If you are happy

1 Ask some questions.

If you are happy, what will you do?

If I am happy, I will smile.

If you become sad, what will you do?

If I become sad, I will cry.

What will happen if do too much work?

If I do too much work, I will get tired.

Step 2.Presentation

1.Show some pictures to present new structure:

If it is sunny this Sunday, I’ll go fishing .

Ask seveval students:

What will you do if it is sunny this Sunday?

If I have much money, I will buy a big house.

What will you do if you have much money ? Practice with the students :

2.Show some pictures to present the following: (1)I think I’m going to stay at home.

If you do ,you’ll be bored.

(2)I think I’m going to work until night.

If you do ,you’ll be tired.

(3)I think I’m going to exercise.

If you do ,you’ll be healthy.

(4)If you go to the party ,you’ll have a great time .

(5)If you watch TV every night ,your parents will be mad at you . Purposes for the designs

Step3 Presentation and Pratice

Today is Jenny’s birthday, she wants to organize a birthday party. What will you do if you go to the party? Discuss with the students.

If you do, Jenny will be very happy.

If you do, Jenny won’t let you in.

-I am going to _____to the party.

If you do, you won’t be late.

Students practice in pairs .

Step4 Practice

(1)Show the pictures of SectionA1,ask the students to predict the consequences. Talk about the pictures

1a Look at the pictures. Then match the statements with responses.

(2)1b Listen. Were your answers to activity 1a correct? Play the tape and then check the answers

(3)1c Pairwork

First ask students to look at the pictures and then make conversations.
