二、阅读理解
(A) In some parts of the world there are large deserts. There are no trees and no water there. Travelers must take food and water with them. The only animal that can walk through the desert is the camel. It can go without food or water for a long time and it can carry heavy things. People call the camel “the ship of the desert”. The camel's humps (驼峰) hold fat, and its stomach (胃) holds water in twelve deep pockets. Each pocket has a mouth which closes, and the food does not mix (混合) with the water. When the camel wants some water, it can get it out of the pockets. The camel's food is grass and leaves of trees.
根据短文内容, 判断正误, 正确的写T, 错误的写F.

(B)Many teenagers feel that the most important people in their lives are their friends. They believe that their family members, and in particular their parents, don’t know them as well as their friends do. In large families, it is quite common(普通的)for brothers and sisters to fight with each other and then they can only go to their friends for advice.
It is very important for teenagers to have one good friend or a circle of friends. Even when they are not with their friends, they usually spend a lot of time talking among themselves on the phone. This communication(交际) is very important in children’s growing up, because friends can discuss(讨论) things too difficult to say to their family members.
However, parents often try to choose their chil dren’s friends for them. Some parents may even stop their children from meeting their good friends. The question of “choice” is an interesting one. Have you ever thought of the following questions?
Who choose your friends?
Do you choose your friends or do your friends choose you?
Have you got a good friend your parents don’t like?
Your answers are welcome.
