Personal Statement
My name is*****, coming from ***, Henan Province an ancient and beautiful city who lies in the center of China. All my school life from primary school to the University is all there. I am an outgoing boy who loves to make friends, explore and experience new things. I like reading, singing, playing basketball and Chinese Calligraphy. Since I was in Primary school, I had served as a monitor in my class and I have a strong sense of responsibility and ability of organization. I am always ready to help others. And I can get on well with other students.
I got my bachelor degree this July，from *** University. Although my University is not the 211 and 985 Project University, but it is famous enough in the textile filed. I was major in textile engineering. In my university life, the most important experience I got is grasp time do anything useful to do. In these years, my self-study ability has been improved significantly, and I got a lot of knowledge. Of course, of all my progress couldn’t apart from the impression of professor **** who had guided me to be a man of integrity all the time. Professor Zhu told me whenever I do anything I must have a positive and seriously attitude.
When I entered the university, my father told me that competition is getting more and fiercer, and the best way to stay ahead is to be learning all the time. During those four years, I learned English, Textile Enterprise Management, International Trading, Textile Import and Export, Economic Management and so on. And I made full use of my spare time by reading English novels and attending lectures on various business-related subjects.
During my campus life, I didn't just focus on my academic work. I took part in many extracurricular activities and contests to broaden my knowledge and improve my social skills. I was the member of Calligraphy Lovers Association and the Players of Bicycle Association. And through 2-year’s practicing, I became to be the vice president of our university’s Basketball Club. And what proud me most is that I built a non-profit organization named Musical Lovers Club. When I charge of the daily affairs of the two clubs, I acquired some essential social skills of leadership ，management and economic.
Knowledge is a treasure but practice is the key, so I spent my holidays in 2006 in the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, I analyzed customers’ need, sorted them into different groups and
provide suggestions. In the summer of 2007, 2008 and 2009, I worked in Henan QingChuan Cotton Corporation Limited. I did some job in production department in 2007. In 2008 and 2009, I worked in marketing department to analyze the market trend, make market research and do some sale plans and so on. All of these offered me many chances to demonstrate my abilities. By these practicing I had a good understanding of Business. Through negotiation with clients and colleagues, I also made a lot of progress in interpersonal communication skills.
After my four-year study in university, I find that my knowledge is not sufficient for business, and it will be necessary for me to undertake a more advanced business program. After China hosted the 2008 Olympics, especially the successfully holding of Shanghai Expo, and of course after the Asian Games, I believe there will be more and more business opportunities springing up. And we can find many new chances in the entire world. For those opportunities and chances, I have made up my mind to study in another country to gain more advanced knowledge
Middlesex University is a very well regarded British university who has a long history, a good reputation and strong teaching advantages. And it is a perfect school for me where I can make my dreams come true. So I would like to choose your university, and I believe I will not make you disappointed. I am confident that I will be successful in my academic studies. I would really like to study in your university and hope that you will approve my application.
There is an old saying in Chinese saying "Where there is a will, there is a way ". I will manage to overcome language barriers by study hard. And with those various experiences in life, I personally believe that my passion and preparation will allow me to succeed in my studies and make career in business.
