In the lecture, the professor elaborated on a specific example of his friend to explain the concept of “comfort zone bias”.

To begin with, the professor’s friend from college wanted to be a film reviewer because he loved to watch and write about movies. As a result, he looked for a job as a film reviewer. But unfortunately he could not find a job. Hence he took a position as a news reporter. And at first he wasn't sure if he would be a good news reporter. Nevertheless, he eventually realized that he was a great reporter. So when he was offered a job as a film reviewer, he actually turned it down simply because he didn't want to try something else.

To sum up, this was a perfect example of comfort zone bias, which is the tendency to prefer remaining in comfortable and familiar situations given by the professor in the lecture.
