2025年全国大学英语CET四级考试模拟试卷及答案指导一、写作(15分)CET-4 Writing SectionDirections: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay entitled “The Importance of Teamwork”. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.Sample Essay: The Importance of TeamworkIn today’s fast-paced and highly competitive world, the concept of teamwork has become more crucial than ever. It is often said that one can go fast alone, but to go far, one must go together. This saying underlines the importance of teamwork in achieving common goals effectively and efficiently.Teamwork allows for the pooling of diverse skills and talents, which leads to more innovative solutions and better decision-making. When individuals with different backgrounds and expertise collaborate, they bring unique perspectives to the table, fostering an environment where creativity thrives. Furthermore, working as a team builds a support system, enabling members to rely on each other during challenging times, thus reducing stress and increasing job satisfaction.Another significant benefit of teamwork is the ability to accomplish tasksthat would be impossible for an individual to handle. By dividing work among team members based on their strengths, teams can tackle complex projects, ensuring all aspects are thoroughly covered. This not only improves the quality of work but also accelerizes the completion time.In conclusion, the value of teamwork cannot be overstated. It is through collaboration and mutual support that we can achieve great things, overcome obstacles, and reach our full potential. Embracing the spirit of teamwork is essential for both personal and professional success in our interconnected world.Analysis:•Introduction: The essay begins with a clear statement about the increasing significance of teamwork in the modern era, setting up the main argument.•Body Paragraphs:•The first body paragraph discusses how teamwork enhances innovation and decision-making by combining varied skills and viewpoints.•The second body paragraph highlights the supportive nature of teamwork, emphasizing its role in managing stress and boosting morale.• A third point is made about the efficiency and effectiveness gained from dividing labor according to individual strengths, allowing for thesuccessful execution of complex tasks.•Conclusion: The concluding paragraph reinforces the thesis, summarizing the key benefits of teamwork and linking them to broader concepts ofachievement and personal growth. This sample response adheres to the word limit (156 words), maintains a coherent structure, and provides specific examples to support the main points, making it a strong example for the CET-4 writing section. News Item 1:A new study has found that the popularity of online shopping has led to a significant increase in the use of plastic packaging. With just a few clicks, customers can purchase products from all over the world and have them delivered to their doorstep. However, this convenience has also brought about some challenges, particularly in terms of logistics and environmental impact. One of the biggest concerns is the environmental impact of packaging. Traditional packaging materials, such as plastic bags and boxes, are not biodegradable and often end up in landfills, contributing to pollution.E-commerce companies have started to address this issue by offering packaging-free options and promoting the use of sustainable materials.Another challenge is the issue of returns. Some companies have introduced policies to encourage customers to return fewer items, such as offering incentives for reuse or donation.Despite these challenges, the e-commerce industry is not standing still. 六:阅读步骤:Step2(10mins)
5.注意逻辑关系的运用(显性信息) 逻辑关系分布在文章的句子内部、句句之间、以及段落之间,最基本的逻辑关系有以下几种: (1) 因果关系:as a result, therefore, hence, consequently, because, for, due to, hence, 等等 (2) 并列、递进关系:and, or, then, what’s more, in addition, besides, in other words, moreover等 (3) 转折关系:however, nevertheless, while, whereas, but, yet, in fact等等。
六:阅读步骤:Step2(10mins)

全国大学英语CET四级考试模拟试卷及解答参考一、写作(15分)Section I: Writing (30 minutes)Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on the topic “The Advantages and Disadvantages of Studying Abroad”. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.Writing Sample:Studying abroad is an experience that can be both exhilarating and challenging. On one hand, it offers numerous advantages that contribute to personal growth and career development. When students go abroad, they are exposed to new cultures, which can broaden their perspectives and foster a deeper understanding of the world. Additionally, international study programs often provide access to cutting-edge research and technology, as well as opportunities to learn from leading experts in various fields. Furthermore, studying in a foreign country can enhance language skills and communication abilities, which are highly valued by employers around the globe. On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages associated with studying overseas. The cost of living and tuition fees in many countries can be significantly higher, placing a financial burden on students and their families. Moreover, being away from home for an extended period can lead tofeelings of homesickness and isolation, especially if the student struggles to integrate into the local community. There’s also the challenge of adapting to a different educational system, which might not always align with the student’s learning style or previous academic experiences. In conclusion, while studying abroad has its pros and as well as cons, it is up to each individual to weigh these factors and decide whether such an opportunity is right for them. It is important to consider personal goals, financial circumstances, and adaptability before making the decision to embark on this life-changing journey.Analysis:•Introduction: The writer starts by acknowledging the dual nature of studying abroad, highlighting that it is both exciting and filled with challenges. This sets the stage for a balanced discussion.•Body Paragraphs:•The first body paragraph focuses on the benefits of studying abroad. The writer points out three key advantages: exposure to new cultures, access to advanced resources, and improvement in language and communicationskills. Each point is briefly explained to support the claim.•In the second body paragraph, the writer addresses the potential drawbacks. The high costs, emotional difficulties like homesickness, and the need to adapt to a new educational system are all mentioned. These points help to present a realistic view of the experience.•Conclusion: The concluding paragraph summarizes the main ideas and suggests that the suitability of studying abroad depends on thei ndividual’s personal circumstances. It encourages readers to carefullyconsider their own situation before deciding, reinforcing the idea that while the experience can be beneficial, it is not without its challenges.•Language and Style: The sample uses clear and concise language, appropriate for a formal essay. Transitions between paragraphs and within paragraphs are smooth, ensuring that the flow of the argument is logical and easy to follow. The use of specific examples (e.g., “access tocutting-edge rese arch and technology”) adds credibility to the arguments presented. This writing sample effectively demonstrates how to structure a balanced argumentative essay, providing a good model for students preparing for the CET-4 writing section. News 1A team of archaeologists has discovered a well-preserved ancient city in the desert of northern China. In this article, we explore both perspectives and discuss the potential impact on the workforce. In the short term, automation is likely to displace workers in certain industries. For example, the manufacturing sector has already seen a significant reduction in jobs due to the introduction of robots and automated machinery. Similarly, the service industry, particularly in areas such as retail and food service, may experience a decrease in employment as self-service kiosks and automated systems become more common. However, proponents of automation argue that it will also create new job opportunities. 2025年全国大学英语CET四级考试自测试卷及解答参考一、写作(15分)Task 1: WritingWrite an essay of 150-170 words on the following topic:“Online Education: Blessing or Curse?”You should write in three parts.1.State your view on whether online education is a blessing or a curse.2.Support your view with relevant reasons and examples.3.Provide a conclusion based on your analysis.Sample Essay:Online education has become increasingly popular in recent years, but whether it is a blessing or a curse is a topic of debate. In my opinion, online education is a blessing due to its flexibility and accessibility.Firstly, the flexibility of online education allows students to study at their own pace and schedule. This is particularly beneficial for working professionals or individuals with other commitments who cannot attend traditional classes. For example, I have been taking online courses to supplement my work experience, and it has been incredibly convenient.Secondly, online education breaks down geographical barriers, making quality education accessible to people in remote areas. This has the potential to bridge the education gap between urban and rural regions. However, some argue that online education lacks the personal interaction and hands-on experience that traditional classrooms offer. While this is a valid concern, advancements in technology, such as virtual reality, have made it possible to replicate some aspects of face-to-face learning. In conclusion, while online education does have its limitations, its benefits in terms of flexibility and accessibility outweigh the drawbacks. As long as the technology continues to evolve, online education can be a powerful tool for learning and development.Analysis:This essay effectively addresses the topic by first stating the writer’s opinion that online education is a blessing. The essay then proceeds to support this view with two main reasons: the flexibility it offers and its ability to overcome geographical barriers. The essay provides specific examples to illustrate these points, such as the writer’s own experience with online courses. This adds credibility to the argument. Finally, the essay acknowledges the potential drawbacks of online education but counters them by discussing technological advancements that can mitigate these issues. The conclusion summarizes the main points and reinforces thewriter’s overall view. The essay maintains a clear structure, with each paragraph focusing on a specific aspect of the argument, and it is written in a coherent and logical manner. News Item 1:A new study reveals that the world’s largest ocean current, the Gulf Stream, is showing signs of slowing down due to climate change. It refers to the gap between those who haveready access to computers and the Internet, and those who do not, due to socioeconomic or other barriers. The digital divide is particularly significant in education, where it can exacerbate existing inequalities. Schools in affluent areas tend to have better technology resources than those in poorer areas. This disparity can lead to students from less privileged backgrounds falling behind their peers when it comes to digital literacy and, consequently, academic performance. However, there are initiatives aimed at closing this gap. Non-profit organizations, government programs, and private companies are working together to provide affordable or free Internet access and devices to underprivileged communities. Teachers are also being trained to integrate technology effectively into their lessons, ensuring that all students benefit from digital learning tools. Despite these efforts, challenges remain, including the need for ongoing support and the integration of technology into curricula in a way that is meaningful and enhances learning outcomes.1、What does the term ‘digital divide’ refer to?A. Passage One (Clinton Is Right)President Clinton\ decision on Apr.8 to send Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji packing without an agreement on China's entry into the World Trade Organization seemed to be a massive miscalculation. The President took a drubbing from much of the press, which had breathlessly reported that a deal was in the bag. The Cabinet and Whit House still appeared divided, and business leaders were characterized as furious over the lost opportunity. Zhu chiirged (hat Clinton lacked .^thc courage” to reach an accord・ And when Clinton later telephoned the angry Zhu to pledge a renewed effort at negotiations, the gesture was widely portrayed as a flip-flop.In fact Clinton made the right decision in holding out for a better WTO deal. A lot more horse trading is needed before a final agreement can be reached・ And without the Administration^ goal of a "bullet-proof agreement” that business lobbyists can enthusiastically sell to a Republican Congress, the whole process will end up in partisan acrimony that could harm relations with China for years.THE HARD PART. Miiny business lobbyists, while disappointed that the deal was not closed, agree that better terms can still be had. And Treasury Secretary Robert E・Rubin. National Economic Council Director Gene B. Sperling, Commerce Secretary William M. Daley, and top trade negotiator Charlene Barshefsky all advised Clinton that while the Chinese had made a remarkable number of concessions, •Ue're not there yet/ according to senior officials. Negotiating with Zhu over the remaining issues may be the easy part. Although Clinton can signal U.S. approval for China's entry into the WTO himself he needs Congress to grant Beijing permanent most-favored・nalio!)status as part of a broad trade accord・ Andthe temptation for meddling on Capital Hill may prove over-whelming. Zhu had barely landed before Senate Majority Leader Trent Loll (R-Miss) declared himself skeptical that China deserved entry into the WTO. And Senators Jesse A. Helms (R-N.C.) and Emest E Hollings (D-S. C.) promised to intrixluce a bill requiring congressional approval of any deal. The hidden message from these three textile-state Southerners: Get more protection for the U. S. clothing industry. Hoping to smooth the way, the Administration tried, but failed, to budge Zhu on textiles・Also left in the lurch: Wall Street, Hollywood, and Detroit・Zhu refused to open up much of the lucrative Chinese securities market and insisted on ^cultural'' restrictions on American movies and music. He also blocked cflorts to allow U. S. auto makers to provide fleet Gnancing・BIG JOB. Already, business lobbyists are blanketing Capitol Hill to presale any eventual agreement, but what they've heard so far isn't cncouraging. Rq)ublicans, including Lott, say that "the time just isn't right*' for the deal. Translation: We're determined to make it look as if Clinton has capitulated to (he Chinese and is ignoring human, religious, and labor rights violations; the theft of nuclear-weapons technology; and the sale of missile parts to America's enemies・ Beijing's fierce critics within the Democratic Party, such as Senator Paul D. Wellstone of Minnesota and House Minority leader Richard A. Gephardt of Missouri, won't help, either. Just how tough the lobbying job on Capitol Hill will be become clear on Apr. 20. when Rubin lectured 19chicf executives on the need to discipline their Republican allies. With business and the White House still trading charges over who is responsible for the defeat of fasbtrack trade negotiating legislation in 1997, working together won't be easy. And Republicans- with a winky that they Mleventually embrace China's entty into the WTO as a favor to Corporate America. Though not long before tliey torture Clinton. But Zhu is out on a limb, and if Congress overdoes the criticism, he may be forced by domestic critics to renege・ Business must make this much dear to both its GOP allies and the Whil House: This historic deal is too important to risk losing lo any more partisan squabbling 1 ・ The main idea of this passage is(A|.

W(what had happened; when did it happen; where did it happen; who are the main characters; why did it happen)和1个H(how did it happen)重要问题。
Secretary of State, the Prime Minister, Ambassador, Foreign Minister, Counselor…;各国主要行政机构,如:State Department, House of Representatives, CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference);主要的世界性组织机构,如:UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization), NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries), APEC (The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation), PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization), OAU (The Organization of African Unity), ASEAN (The Association of Southeast Asian Nations). . .

That brings the number seen in nearby waters alone this year to 3. That’s big news because the whalepopulation has been falling and no baby whales were seen last year. In all, seven baby whales have been spotted so far this year. [20]The whale population has become endangered due to commercial whaling activities in recent years. This is because they are sometimes hunted for their meat or their skin. Over-hunting could lead to the disappearance of the whale population, possibly causing major problems to the global food chain. [21]The whales give birth off the southeast coast of America in the winter and travel to feeding grounds of the northeast coast in the early spring. Northeast coast is a critically important source of food. The animals often feed close to shore. This provides watchers on land with unbeatable views of one of the rarest of marine mammals. It’s illegal to get within 1,500 feet of the animals without federal research permit, so well watchers are discouraged from tempting to get to the whales.Questions 19 to 21 are based on the passage you have just heard.19. What do we learn from the passage about the North Atlantic right whale?20. What has caused the decline of the whale population in recent years?21. What do the whales travel to the northeast coast of America in the early spring? An average person consumes 144 pints of milk a year, but 40% of that is poured on to cereal and 60% of those people are children. But what was once advertised as nutrition is becoming unpopular. [22]Americans drinks 37% less milk than they did in the 1970s. And in the UK, dairy consumption overall has fallen by a third in the past 20 years. [23]Milk is increasingly being described in a negative light. A recent blog suggested:“M aybe people are drinking less milk because it is poisonous to many of us.”[24]Lactose is the sugar found in milk and dairy products. It needs a series of complex proteins to break it down. Without enough of these proteins, the lactose is broken down by bacteria in the human body. This can cause physical pain and produce gas in the stomach. However, after we have finished breast and formula feeding, most of us don’t continue producing the complex proteins in our bodies, which are necessary to break down the lactose. Despite the problems in degisting milk, it does provide many benefits. [25]Milk is nutritious—it contains vitamins A and D as well as protein and isn’t full of calories. You can test yourself by drinking a large glass of milk. If you get sick in your stomach within the next 24 hours, you are lacking the proteins to digest milk.Questions 22 to 25 are based on the passage you have just heard.22. What does the passage say about Americans?23. How do Americans and British think of milk nowadays?24. Why does drinking milk cause pain in some people?25. What does the passage say is a benefit of milk?。

A. Christmas-time attacks made by Somali rebels. B. An explosion at a bus station in central Nairobi. C. The killing of more than 70 Ugandans in Kampala. D. Blasts set off by a Somali group in Uganda’s capital.
What is the main idea of the news?/
A. All taxis began to use meters. B. All taxis got air conditioning. C. Advertisements were allowed on taxis. D. Old taxis were replaced with new cabs. All taxis, old taxis, new cabs等可以看出这是一则与出租车有关的新闻,而 且涉及新旧出租车。

UN United Nations 联合 国 UNCF United Nations Children‘s Fund 联合国儿 童基金 GNP Gross national product国民生产总值 OECD Organization Economic Cooperation Development国际经济合作 发展组织 ASEAN Association of Southeast Asian Nations东 南亚国家联盟 CPC Communist Party of China 中国共产党

Last July, the Somali group al-Shabab said it was behind the blasts in the Ugandan capital which killed more than 70 people. Will Ross reports from the Kenyan capital…

BENWEDEMAN: The gates of Guantanamo were open to the media today. when : today who: Guantanamo what: Open to the media
Q: What is the news report mainly about?
录音首句说, 肯尼亚警方公布关于一 起在内罗比中部某巴士站发生的爆炸事件的情况 (an explosion at a bus station in central Nairobi).
A. There are no more irregular practices. B. All new cabs provide air-conditioning. C. New cabs are all equipped with meters. D. New legislation protects consumer rights. Q: Why do customers no longer arguer with new cab drivers?

A. On Christmas Eve. B. Just before midnight. C. During a security check. D. In the small hours of the morning.
WASHINGTON, July 25--- The White House today threatened for the first time to … The Chinese Embassy in Washington criticized the Pentagon report on Monday…. 此处 Pentagon(五角大楼)代表美国国防部。
