Facing your fears
1.Each of us will have fear, Once I thought I will not overcome this fear, but later I found that I was wrong.
我们每个人内心都会有恐惧,曾经我一直以为自己不会战胜这个恐惧,但后来我发现自己错了。
2.A psychologist once said, ”If you’ve conquered every one of your fears, congratulations—you’re dead.” This humorous quote points to a simple truth: No one can escape fear completely.So everyone will have fear.Fear can not be beat, the key is to overcome it.
一位心理学家曾经说过,“如果你克服了每一个恐惧,恭喜你死定了。”这个幽默的引用指向一个简单的事实:没有人能完全逃离恐惧。所以每个人都会有恐惧。有恐惧并不可拍,关键是去克服它。
3.I think, sometimes fear can be a good thing. It is a natural, healthy reaction to danger. But sometimes we are afraid of things that aren’t dangerous. You might fear of being alone, failing a test, or being rejected. And I, afraid of speaking in public.
我认为,有时候恐惧会是一件好事。这是一个自然的,健康的反应的危险。但有时我们害怕的东西并不危险。你可能会害怕独处,考试不及格,或被拒绝,而我,害怕在公共场合演讲。这些恐惧可能会给我们的生活带来很多的烦恼。
These fears may bring us a lot of trouble.So how can we successfully face our fears? I'll try the following methods.
那么如何才能成功地面对我们的恐惧?我会尝试以下的方法:
(1)Admit my fears:
I don't want to always be the annoyance, So I must first admit that what I was afraid of, And then share it with the people I trust.I think it can make me no longer fear.
承认我的恐惧:
我不想总是被这个烦恼困扰,所以我首先必须承认我害怕什么。然后与我信任的人分享。我觉得这样能让我不再那么恐惧。
You might worry that others know your fears will despise you. But you might be surprised how many other people share the same fears. What do you do?
也许你会担心别人知道你的恐惧后会看不起你。但是你可能会惊讶有多少人有相同的恐惧。你会怎么做呢?
(2)Change the angle of view:
When I feel scared ,i will Ask yourself, “What is the worst-case scenario?”This question can help me gain perspective.If I want, the worst may not be so bad.
转换视角
当我感到恐惧的时候,我会问问自己,“最坏的情况是什么?“
这个问题可以帮助我获得我的视角。如果我想一想,最坏的可能不是那么糟糕。
Such as when I spoke, I would say to myself, in the worst case is to forget the words didn't say.When it came to power, will feel nervous, but will continue to encourage myself,because it is not the worst.
如当我要上台演讲时,我会和自己说,最坏的情况就是忘词没话说。当真正上台时,会感到紧张,但会不断的鼓励自己,因为还没有到最坏的情况。
(3)Take baby steps:
Finally, take small steps toward conquering your fears. For exmple,I fear public speaking, don’t try to give a presentation in front of hundreds of people. Start by giving a small talk to a few people. When I talk is not smooth, try again. Persistence is one of the keys to success.
采取小步骤
最后,对克服你的恐惧的小步骤。例如我害怕公众演说,不会试图在几百人面前演讲。开始给小跟几个人。当我的谈话不顺利,再试一次。坚持是成功的关键之一。
You might never completely conquer your fear of certain things. But what is important is that you can bring yourself to do what you fear. True bravery is feeling scared but doing what you have to do anyway.
你可能永远无法完全克服你对某些事物的恐惧。但重要的是,你可以让自己去做你害怕的事。勇敢面对恐惧,做你必须做的。
