按英国著名翻译理论家纽马克（Ｐｅｔｅｒ Ｎｅｗｍａｒｋ）的说法，广告文本应属于“呼唤型文本”。
作为商业广告的主体语，广告标语（ｓｌｏｇａｎ） 是每一则广告中最醒目、最引人注目的部分。
广告标语向消费者传达产品或品牌的核心概念，其语言表达要精炼准确，语言表述要特色鲜明、生动优美，彰显文化底蕴，带给消费者美的享受。
本文从英文航空广告标语这个微观层面出发，对其在语音、词汇、句法和修辞方面的特点进行探讨，以期对航空业者、广告研究人员以及对此感兴趣的学者有所启示。
二、广告标语的作用第一，确立广告形象。
广告标语首先是企业、商品、服务与受众之间的认知桥梁。
它可以将企业、商品的特征及所提供的利益以最简练的文字表达出来，加深受众对企业的经营特点、商品以及劳务优良个性的理解和记忆，无形中成为人们购买商品或选择劳务时的依据。
第二，影响公众态度。
广告标语的表现内容不外乎企业的理念和商品的特性。
广告标语在表现企业特征、商品特性的同时也体现了消费新观念进而引导公众的行为，亦影响公众的态度。
第三，形成口碑效应。
口碑是自发形成的，但好的口碑更需要企业自己主动制造并培育。
标语的口语化语言风格利于人们的接受和记忆，也利于口头传播产生。
当然良好的口碑不是空谈，无论是实体产品、网络产品，还是各种服务，都必须以其自身的品质作为基础。
三、英文航空广告标语的语言特点（一）语音特点押韵修辞手段常用在诗歌中，英文广告中使用的押韵常为头韵（ａｌｌｉｔｅｒａｔｉｏｎ）和尾韵（ｒｈｙｍｅ）两种。
头韵，相当于汉语的“双声”，即两个以上词的词首辅音相同。
尾韵是两个或两个以上词的尾元音及其后的辅音相同而产生的音韵。
