They live in this really prettyneighborhood with palm trees and swimming pools. My grandpa gave me the biggest hug and my grandma had baked my favorite chocolate chip cookies! Their dog Daisy was so happy to see me too and she licked my face about a hundred times.The next day, we all piled back into the car and drove to Disney World. I could hardly contain my excitement! When we got there, the first thing we did was go on the Haunted Mansion ride. Some of the ghosts popped out and made me jump, but I didn't get too scared because I knew they were just pretend.After that, we rode on Splash Mountain and got completely drenched from the big drop at the end. We got to go into their stables and see them up close. Mr. Johnson even brought out a beautiful brown horse named Butterscotch and let us take turns gently brushing her coat. She was gorgeous! I had always dreamed of riding a horse. The main character is a little orphan girl named Sophie who discovers the BFG's secret life. I loved all the funny made-up words the BFG used tospeak, like "whizzpopping" and "delumptious." Maybe if I keep reading, my vocabulary will get that good too!In science, we've been learning about the human body. We even got to dissect a frog, which was pretty gross but really cool at the same time! I was surprised by how many organs and stuff were packed inside that little guy.
