从TGA曲线得到的树脂的耐热性能指标见表1.

0:1 2.3 表2为不同PBI和MDPES配比对树脂吸水率的影响表。表2数据表明改性后

的固化树脂大大改进了PBI容易吸水的缺点,吸水率比PBI低将近一半,而且还

比MDPES单独固化的吸水率略低。

综上所述,PBI和MPDPES通过共混改性后,树脂的耐热性能优异,耐水性能

得到改善。

Methyldiphenynylenesilane modification

Polybenzimidazole(PBI) is a kind of polymers which contain benzimidazole rings and have remarkable heat-resistance property. PBI ,with its main chain configuration stable, has predominant heat-resistance property and excellent mechanical property. However, it is easy to absorb water , which restricts its application on composite materials. Methyldiphenynylenesilane(MDPES) resin has outstanding heat-resistance property, very good electrical and good water-resistance properties. However,its mechanical property is not good. So PBI and MDPES modified by each other, the heat-resistance and water-resistance properties will be improved.

Poly-2,2’-(m-phenylene)-5,5’-bibenzimidazole has been synthesized using 3,3’-diaminobenzidine(DAB) and dipheny isophthalate(DPIP) .and then modified by Methyldiphenynylenesilane. The results of study show that, the resin , modified by each other ,has better heat-resistance property when PBI/MDPES is 1:1 and the highest solidified temperature is 400℃.Its temperature of 5% weight loss (Td5) is 675.3℃,and its mass residual at 800℃ in nitrogen is 88.6%.At the same time, after modified, the water-resistance property of the resin has been improved largely. The water absorption(%) of the resin modified is less nearly as half as PBI.
