I JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS

The role

To provide a quality service to EK and Code share passe ngers in respect to check-i n, board ing, special services and baggage services as per company's commercial and safety standards and procedures, so that EK and code share passe ngers and their baggage are han ded in a con siste nt and

efficie nt manner.

Locati on

The positi ons are based in the Dubai Intern ati onal Airport, either in the term in al (check-i n hall) or in the con course (tra nsfer or board ing gate area).

Resp on sibilities

Positions are allocated various duties, which could include:

Check-in/boarding:

« Fully adhere to all operati onal procedures (SOP) with regards to travel, immigrati on and safety regulatio ns.

* Identify and meet the standard and special service requirements of the passengers at check-in, transfer desk, special services and boarding gates by adhering to the set

service standards and procedures so that the passengers are handled in a friendly and

efficie nt manner.

* Collect briefing sheet and staff allocation, check all the counters equipments and stati on ary, report tech ni cal fault to Mercator through EMACS

* Provide a proactive service to passengers prior to check-in such as, managing queues, removi ng old baggage tags, han dli ng denied board ing passe nger, staff passe ngers, help ing

families, ide ntify ing those with special n eeds and code share passe ngers, so that they are

directed to the releva nt check-i n coun ters and are han dled efficie ntly.

* Initiate boarding at the gates, following laid down boarding priorities, announcements, hand baggage removal, flight coup on recon ciliati on and head count con firmati on in order

to assist the process for a safe and on time departure of EK flights. For flights board ing from remote, en sure the han dli ng procedure applies.

* Deliver an efficient service at the transfer desks for arriving EK passengers who are connecting to another EK / OAL flights by verifying that their baggage details are recorded in MACS (Mercator Airport Check-i n System) prior to check ing in passe nger and

issu ing board ing cards and meal voucher where appropriate so that the tran sfer

passe ngers are processed accurately and expeditiously.

* Ascerta in the han dli ng requireme nts of the various categories of passe ngers (e.g.

un accompa nied minors, wheelchair, elderly and in capacitated etc.) the n en sures that appropriate special services and facilities are provided to meet the special services requireme nts of the customers.

* Provide cover for role above whe n operati onal requireme nts dema nd this i.e. Act Up '
