Can and May 1、can和may都可以表示请求,can可以用could, may可以用might代替,语气更委婉,更有礼貌,但 时间上没有区别 eg. Can /Could I use your phone please? May I use your phone please? Might I use your phone please? 含有情态动词的普通回答: 肯定:Of course you can/may.
