• 一切科学术语最突出的特点是词义的单一性和固定性，而对于陶瓷英语 术语来说则是一个例外。如pot一词，其对应的汉语词则可能是“壶、 锅、罐、钵、盆”等。又如汉语中的“陶瓷”一词，与之相对应的英语 词汇则有ceramics, pottery, porcelain, china, earthenware, clayware 等 。 • “body”一词的翻译： ①Clays perform two important functions in ceramic bodies.
