一．Various of festivals and celebrations have been held everywhere since ancient times. The Tomato Festival in Spain is a good example.

As a traditional celebration in Spain, it falls on the last Wednesday of August in Bunol Square, which is famous for its agricultural produces. As with many other festivals, the festival also has its origin about a food battle in the 1940s, when young people throw food at others in the street. Amazingly, this custom passes down and becomes a tradition.

On the feast day annually, thousands of people gather in the square and throw tons of juicy tomatoes at each other. Each spares no effort to enjoy themselves and the laughter makes a wonderful Spanish experience. Soon people are drowned in the red ocean of tomatoes. The event is so interesting that a growing number of tourists are being attracted.

Usually the festival will last 1 hour, after which people go to the nearby river to clean themselves.

二．Li Ming used to be a healthy boy, but one year ago, he fell into the habit of having plenty of junk food, such as hamburgers and French fries, especially cola, which was his favorite. What’s worse, he enjoyed watching TV while lying on sofa eating. Apart from these, he didn’t do any exercise. As a result, he put on so much weight that it even was rather difficult for him to climb up the stairs.

Fortunately, he realized how terrible his lifestyle was and decided to change it. First of all, he went on a balanced diet which contains less fat and more fibre. To lose more weight and keep fit, he also turned to regular exercise.

Through his great effort, Li Ming became fit and slim once again.

三.When people think of the Spring Festival in China, setting off fireworks always comes to mind.

There is no doubt that setting off fireworks adds to an atmosphere of happiness and joy of the festival. However, it may also lead to many bad effects. First of all, big fires are often caused by fireworks. It’s also not rare that people get injured while playing them, especially children. More importantly, setting off fireworks will certainly result in bad noise and air pollution. Personally, I strongly urge the government to take immediate measures to forbid setting off fireworks, for the sake of environment and safety.

四.The Olympics are the biggest and most important sports meeting in the world which many great athletes compete in every 4 years. So certainly, we love to watch the exciting matches. But how can people enjoy it if they are at work? Let’s take a look.

Some clerks are brave enough to watch the games at work time without the boss’permission. Perhaps they will be out of work because of it. Others may watch the games secretly and pretend to be hard-working. It’s not a good way for their computers always can’t work.

There is a creative idea of hiding the mobile phone inside the books. So it’s difficult to be discovered.

We can find people really love Olympics through all the ways. But it’s not proper for them to watch games during work time.
