A meaningful Activity

Our school has now started an activity called “Build Civilized Classes and a Harmonious Campus.” The topic is “ Get Rid of Bad Habits and Greet Civilization”.

Bad habits do exist. Some students throw rubbish everywhere or spit in public. Some wear long hair. Others are even addicted to smoking and drinking. We require that the students break away from these bad habits.

We urge the students to wear their school uniform and be polite to others.

Good afternoon, boys and girls!

First of all, thank you for giving me this opportunity. Now allow me to introduce myself. I’m Lihua from China. As an energetic boy, I love sports, and I’m captain of the school football team. I’m open and easy-going, maybe that’s why everyone wants to make friends with me. I’m warm-hearted and always ready to help others. I like reading, both for fun and for knowledge. I speak good English, which helps me to communicate easily with all of you.

If you choose me to be chairman of the Students’ Union, I will organize various activities to make your life more colorful. Firstly I will set up an international club where students can learn about different cultures from each other. Also the Students’ Union will regularly collect ideas and opinions from you and pass them on to the teachers in charge.
