中文摘要禁忌语是一种非常普遍的语言现象。每一个民族的语言都有自己的禁忌语，它存在于日常生活的各个方面，这些禁忌语在交流中起到举足轻重的作用。语言是受思想控制的，禁忌语之间的差异反映了人们思想和思维的不同，人们思想的种种禁忌导致了禁忌语的出现，而文化是决定人们思想的最终因素。东西方文化的不同决定了汉英禁忌语在很多方面存在差异，了解和把握这种差异，有助于消除跨文化交际障碍，实现跨文化交际的目的。本文主要通过对汉英禁忌语内涵及特点、语用差异、表达手段、形成因素及在跨文化交际和对外汉语教学中的应用进行研究分析，旨在减少汉英语言交际过程中引起的不悦，避免语用失误，从而实现有效的跨文化交际。关键词：禁忌语；跨文化交际；语用；汉英对比 - I - Abstract Taboowhich exists in almost every field of daily life is a kind of very commonphenomenon.
