向外国朋友介绍你的家乡英语作文
向外国朋友介绍你的家乡英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Awesome HometownHi! My name is Michael and I'm 10 years old. I was born in the best city ever - Guangzhou, China! It's the biggest city in my province called Guangdong. Guangzhou is super cool and I want to tell you all about it.Guangzhou has been around for a really really long time, like over 2,200 years! It used to be the capital of a few different dynasties in ancient China. Because of that, we have tons of amazing historical sites leftover from the old days. My favorite is Chén Clan Ancestral Hall which is th is gigantic temple that's been standing since 1888. The architecture is breathtaking with all the intricate wooden carvings and bright colors. I love exploring all the different rooms and hallways. It's like stepping back in time!Another iconic Guangzhou landmark is the Canton Tower. It's a huuuuge twisty tower that's over 600 meters tall, making it one of the tallest towers in the world! You can go up to the observation decks and see the entire city laid out before you. Theviews are epic, especially at night when all the skyscrapers and streets are lit up. From up there, Guangzhou looks like a twinkling starry sky. I've been up to the top a bunch of times and it never gets old.Eating is definitely one of the best things about living in Guangzhou though. We're known for having some of the most delicious food in all of China (in my opinion anyway!). Cantonese cuisine is like the specialty here, which uses a lot of fresh seafood since we're right on the Pearl River. My absolute favorite Cantonese dish is dim sum, which are all those scrumptious little dumplings and buns. My mouth waters just thinking about shrimp dumplings, barbecue pork buns, and egg tarts! Yummm. Don't even get me started on all the other amazing food we have too - hand-pulled lamian noodles, rice noodle rolls, egg waffles, milk tea, and so much more deliciousness.Since Guangzhou has been a major trading port for centuries, we've got a really diverse mix of cultures here too. Walking around you'll see influences from all over - Chinese temples next to mosques next to churches. People of all backgrounds live side-by-side. There are ethnic minority neighborhoods like the Hui Muslim district where you can get some fire halal beef noodles. And Xinshi Old Town is this quaintarea that feels frozen in time with its narrow alleyways and shophouses. I love grabbing sugar cane juice and snacking on wife cakes there. As you can probably tell, I'm kinda obsessed with the food here! But there's tons of other awesome stuff to do in Guangzhou too. We have waterparks, arcades, trampoline parks, go-kart racing, botanical gardens, childrens museums - you name it. One of my favorite spots is Yuexiu Park right in the heart of downtown. It's this enormous lush park with lakes and hiking trails weaving through it. I have so many memories of riding bikes, having picnics, and just running around exploring there when I was a kid. Whenever I'm feeling stressed I'll go read a book by the lake to relax. It's an oasis of nature and calm in the middle of this huge bustling city. And I can't forget about SPORTS! We are crazy about sports here, whether it's soccer, basketball, badminton, table tennis, you name it. My personal favorite (like every Cantonese kid) is soccer. You can find little matches and pick-up games happening in practically every neighborhood park, day or night. I'm on my school's soccer team and we're a force to be reckoned with! Whenever there's a big match between the Guangzhou Evergrande club and another team, the whole city is plastered inred and blue. We get SO hyped. The energy and cheering at those games is unreal.Whew, I could honestly go on and on about why Guangzhou is the best city ever. But I'll wrap it up by saying that it's just such a vibrant, exciting, delicious place to live. There's never a dull moment here. The mix of ancient history and modern city life is so cool - you get the perfect blend of tradition and innovation. I feel so lucky to have been born here and gotten to experience all the sights, sounds, and flavors this place has to offer. Hopefully you can come visit someday and see what makes my hometown so special!篇2My HometownHi friends! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I live in a city called Hangzhou in eastern China. Hangzhou is famous all over the world for being a beautiful place. I'm so lucky to live there! Let me tell you all about my amazing hometown.Hangzhou is the capital city of Zhejiang Province. It's not quite as huge as Beijing or Shanghai, but it's still a pretty big city with around 10 million people living there. The city has a long history going back over 2,200 years to the Qin Dynasty. There arelots of ancient temples, gardens, and other heritage sites to explore. But Hangzhou is most famous for its stunning natural scenery. We have the beautiful West Lake right in the middle of the city. The lake is surrounded by green hills and gardens with willow trees, pagodas, and historic bridges arching over the water. On sunny days, the lake reflects the hills like a mirror and the whole scene looks like a traditional Chinese painting come to life! At night, the Two Causeways across the lake light up and you can see their reflections shimmering in the dark water. It's so romantic and picturesque. One of my favorite things is taking a little boat ride across the West Lake. The boats are powered by a man rowing with his feet - it's called a gondola ride. As you glide across the peaceful waters, you can feed the fish and swans and soak in the incredible views all around you. Sometimes my parents take me to one of the gardens around the lake and we'll have a picnic or fly a kite. It's such a great way to spend the day surrounded by nature right in the heart of the city.Another amazing sight in Hangzhou is the Lingyin Buddhist Temple. It's one of the most famous ancient Buddhist monasteries in China, with tons of intricate wooden carvings, pagodas, grottoes, and shrines tucked away in the green hills. You can ring the gigantic temple bell for good luck! My favourite thing is the peek-hole carved in one of the rocks - if you look through it, an entire Buddhist monastery appears framed in the tiny circle. It's like magic! We have yummy local food in Hangzhou too. Our most famous dish is a delicacy called Longjing Shrimp. It's fresh shrimp cooked in a special type of green tea called Longjing or Dragon Well Tea that's grown in the hills around West Lake. The tea gives the shrimp a unique grassy aroma and flavour. So good! We also have other tasty dishes like braised bamboo shoots, beggar's chicken baked in clay, and meatballs made with Longjing tea leaves inside. Our local snacks and desserts are out of this world too - try milk bars, lotus root stuffed with sticky rice, and my personal favourite, fried sesame balls filled with sweet red bean paste!Spring is probably the most beautiful season in Hangzhou. That's when we have the incredible Cherryblossom Festival along the lake's edges. Thousands upon thousands of cherry blossom trees burst into pink and white blooms, petals raining down over the willows, pagodas and historic bridges. The whole city is covered in a blanket of delicate flowers and it smells sweeteverywhere you go! Often, gentle breezes will cause clouds of petals to flutter through the air like little butterflies. Poets have written about springtime in Hangzhou for centuries because it's just so breathtakingly romantic. Sometimes the petals cover the surface of the West Lake too, creating a magical rosy carpet rippling across the waters. I always beg my parents to take a pedal boat ride so we can glide through the ocean of cherry blossoms!I hope you can come visit my hometown someday and experience the incredible beauty of Hangzhou for yourself. From the willow-lined West Lake to the serene Buddhist temples, the romantic cherry blossom season to our yummy local cuisine, my city has so much to offer. We'll take a scenic boat ride, visit ancient gardens, and of course sample as many delicious Hangzhou specialties as we can eat! You'll never forget the charms of this amazing place nicknamed "Paradise on Earth." I'm so lucky to call Hangzhou home.篇3My HometownHi! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I live in a city called Shanghai in a country called China. Shanghai is a really cool place and I want to tell you all about it!Shanghai is a huge city with over 24 million people living there. That's more people than many entire countries! It's located right on the coast of eastern China where the Yangtze River flows into the East China Sea. Shanghai has a really long history going back over 700 years to when it was just a small fishing village. But today it's one of the biggest and most modern cities in the whole world! The coolest part about Shanghai is all the tall skyscrapers downtown. The city has over 4,000 skyscrapers which is more than any other city. The tallest one is called the Shanghai Tower and it's 2,073 feet (632 meters) high, which is taller than any building in America! At night, the entire city lights up with neon signs and lights on all the buildings. It looks so bright and beautiful. My favorite skyscraper is called the Oriental Pearl Tower. It's two huge bright pink balls stacked on top of each other and it sparkles with colored lights at night. Isn't that awesome?Downtown Shanghai is right on the Huangpu River and has a really famous area called the Bund. On one side are a bunch ofold European-style buildings from the 1800s when people from the UK, France and other countries controlled parts of Shanghai. But on the other side of the river are all the brand new glass and steel skyscrapers. It's so cool to see the modern and historic buildings together. At night the Bund is packed with people taking pictures and just enjoying the amazing view.Shanghai has some of the best foods in China and the whole world. Because it's a coastal city, there is delicious fresh seafood like fish, shrimp, crab and more. But the most famous Shanghai food is definitely xiaolongbao, which are small steamed dumplings filled with pork and soup broth. They are hard to make but taste so yummy when you bite into the hot juicy inside! Another really good food is shengjianbao, which is a fluffier fried dumpling. For breakfast, a popular Shanghai dish is cifan, which is like a savoury fried bread or doughnut served with a vinegar dipping sauce and often stuffed with pork. It sounds weird but it's really tasty!Since Shanghai used to be controlled by Western countries, there are still some older areas of the city that have European-style buildings and churches. One historical area is called the French Concession which has cute houses with courtyards and trees lining the streets. The old Bund area withthe European buildings is also very pretty. And you can visit the churches and cathedrals left over from when missionaries lived there. My favourite is the Xiahai Chenghuang Temple which is an old Chinese temple dedicated to gods and spirits, but it looks super cool with all the carved dragons and phoenix statues. There are tons of fun places to go around Shanghai too. One of my favourites is The Bund Sightseeing Tunnel, which is a tunnel under the Huangpu River that you travel through on a cart. The entire tunnel is lit up with bright neon lights, lasers, and displays about the history and future of Shanghai. It's like being inside a video game! We also have lots of amazing parks to visit like Century Park which has beautiful gardens and lakes. And Yu Garden is an ancient Chinese garden right in the center of the city with dragon sculptures and rock piles.Shanghai is a huge center for sports and has some of the coolest stadiums in the world. There's the Mercedes-Benz Arena which is a giant golf ball-shaped building that hosts basketball and other events. And the Shanghai Stadium is this circular red stadium where we watch soccer games. My favourite though is the Oriental Sports Center which has a square stadium but the roof is designed to look like the Chinese symbol for "person." You can even rock climb on the roof!No matter what you like, Shanghai has something for everyone. It's such a fun, fascinating city to live in - I hope you can visit one day! Let me know if you have any other questions about my awesome hometown.篇4My Awesome HometownHey there foreign friend! I'm so excited to tell you all about where I live. My hometown is the coolest place ever and I just know you're going to love learning about it.First off, the name of my hometown is Anytown. I know, kind of a boring name right? But trust me, the town itself is anything but boring! Anytown is located right smack dab in the middle of America. That means it's not near any oceans or big famous cities, but that's okay because we've got plenty of awesome stuff right here. One of the very best things about Anytown is the food. We've got so many amazing restaurants around here, you could eat somewhere different every day for months! My personal favorite is Zappy's Pizza Palace. They make this crazy pizza with pepperoni in the crust. It's so crazy and delicious! There's also an amazing Mexican place called Hacienda El Rodeo that has thesehuge burritos bigger than my head. Whenever I eat one I get so full but I can never stop eating them because they're that good.Anytown has some pretty cool attractions too. Probably the most famous one is the Awesome Park & Zoo. It's got a huge zoo area with lions, tigers, bears, and all the cool animals you can think of. But my favorite part is the amusement park section where they have awesome roller coasters and rides like the Mega Loops that flips you upside down eight times! I love riding that one even though it makes me feel like I'm gonna hurl afterwards.Another really neat place in Anytown is Chaos Castle. It's this giant indoor playground that's like a huge wooden castle on the inside. It's maze after maze of tunnels, tubes, stairs, and slides to climb through and around. You can easily get lost in there for hours! One time my friend Jeremy got stuck in one of the tubes and a firefighter had to come rescue him. It was so funny but Jeremy wasn't laughing!Of course, every town needs good schools and Anytown has some great ones. I go to Sunshine Elementary and it's a really nice place to learn. All the teachers are really nice and they make learning actually funbelive it or not. We have lots of awesome afterschool clubs too like Skateboard Squad, Chess Mashers, Coding Crew and more. Sometimes we even get to go onawesome field trips to places like the Fire Station, Zoo, or Skating Rink.Summers in Anytown are amazing because there's so much fun stuff to do. They have this really cool outdoor water park called Splash Works that has giant twisting water slides, a lazy river, and a huge bucket that drenches you with 1,000 gallons of water every few minutes. Whenever I go there I have to bring about five thousand towels because I get so soaked!Another thing I love about summer is Skyline Beach. It's a huge lake nearby with a beach and everything. You can swim, build sandcastles, have picnics, or just lay around all day. Sometimes they even have nighttime campfires and movies playing on a huge screen over the water. It's so relaxing to watch a movie under all the stars as the cool water laps against the shore. In the winter, Anytown is an awesome playland too thanks to Powder Mountain Ski Resort only about an hour away. It's got tons of ski slopes from easy bunny trails all the way up to double-black diamond runs for extreme skiers and snowboarders. There's also a really fun tubing park where you can go sledding down monster hill after monster hill. I've gottenso much air off some of those that I thought I was going to end up in another state! So as you can see, my hometown of Anytown is just an amazing place with so much awesome stuff to do all year round. We've got great food, attractions, schools, and entertainment for all ages. Whenever my family talks about moving somewhere else, I always beg them not to because I'm not sure anywhere else could ever be as fun as good ol' Anytown. You've just got to come visit me here sometime, foreign friend! I'll take you to all the best places and you can experience what makes my hometown so incredibly cool. Just don't be surprised if you never want to leave. Anytown has that effect on people!篇5My Awesome HometownHi there, foreign friends! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm 10 years old. Today, I want to tell you all about my amazing hometown. Get ready for an exciting journey! My hometown is called Zhengzhou, and it's the capital city of Henan Province in central China. It's a really big and importantcity, with over 10 million people living there! That's a lot of people, right? But don't worry, it's not too crowded or anything. There are lots of fun places to go and cool things to see.Let me start by telling you about the food in Zhengzhou. We have sooo many delicious dishes! My favorite is probably the world-famous Shuan'rou, which is a kind of tasty soup with thin noodles and juicy mutton. It's so yummy, especially on cold winter days. We also have amazing snacks like hui-guan bing, which is a kind of flatbread stuffed with all sorts of goodies. And don't even get me started on the street food stalls – they sell everything from skewered meats to sweet potatoes and candied fruits. Mmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!But Zhengzhou is about more than just food (even though the food is amazing). We also have a ton of cool historical sites and cultural attractions. For example, there's the Erqi Memorial Tower, which was built over 1,000 years ago! It's this huge stone tower that looks like it came straight out of a history book. And then there's the Shaolin Temple, where kung fu was invented. Monks still practice martial arts there every day. How awesome is that?!Speaking of awesome, let me tell you about Huayuankou, which is this mind-blowing underground water system. It'sbasically a giant network of underground canals and caves that was built centuries ago to transport water. You can actually take a boat tour through the tunnels! It's a little spooky but really, really cool.Of course, Zhengzhou also has all the modern stuff you'd expect from a big city. We've got huge shopping malls, skyscrapers, amusement parks, and theaters showing the latest movies. One of my favorite places is the Henan Museum, which has an enormous dinosaur skeleton on display. How crazy is that? But you know what I like best about my hometown? The people. Zhengzhou is famous across China for having some of the warmest, friendliest folks around. We love cracking jokes, telling stories, and making guests feel welcome. Whenever family or friends visit from out of town, we make sure to take them out for a huge, delicious meal. And we never let them leave without shoving some local snacks in their bags for the journey home!I could go on and on about Zhengzhou, but I don't want this essay to get too long and boring. Let me just say this: if you ever get a chance to visit my hometown, you absolutely have to come! Experience the incredible food, explore the mind-blowinghistorical sites, and get ready to make some new best friends. Zhengzhou is awesome, and I'm so lucky to call it home.Well, that's all for now. Thanks for reading, foreign friends! I hope you enjoyed learning about my hometown. Maybe one day we can meet up and I can show you around in person. Until then, stay cool!Your friend,Xiao Ming篇6My Wonderful HometownHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I live in a really cool city called Chengdu. It's the capital of Sichuan Province in southwest China. I love my hometown and I want to tell you all about it!Chengdu has been around for a really, really long time - over 2,300 years! Can you believe that? It's one of the oldest cities in China. A lot of important stuff happened here throughout history. But these days, it's just a fun, modern place to live. The weather in Chengdu is awesome. We have a mild climate with lots of sunshine and rain to keep everything green.Summers are warm but not too hot, and winters are cool but never freezing. My favorite season is spring when all the trees and flowers bloom. Everything looks so pretty and colorful! One of the best things about Chengdu is the food. We're famous across China for our delicious Sichuan cuisine. The food here is super spicy and flavored with lots of chilies and Sichuan peppercorns. My favorite dish is mapo tofu - I can't get enough of that numbing spice! We also have the most amazing hot pot restaurants where you cook your own meats and veggies in a huge bubbling pot of broth on the table. Eating hot pot with my family is the best.I should probably warn you, though - Sichuan food is not for the faint of heart! The spice levels can be pretty intense. But don't worry, we have plenty of other yummy (and milder) foods too like dumplings, noodles, and barbecue. My mom makes the tastiest pork dumplings. Mmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!Chengdu isn't just about the food, though. We also have some awesome parks and fun things to do. My favorite is Renmin Park right in the center of the city. It's this huge park with beautiful gardens, ancient temples, a fantastic museum, andeven an amusement park inside! I love riding the roller coaster and Ferris wheel there.Another cool place is Kuanzhai Alley. It's this old neighborhood with tiny crooked streets lined with teahouses and restaurants serving yummy snacks. I always beg my parents to take me there so I can try different candies and fried snacks from the street vendors. It's like traveling back in time! Then there are the pandas! Chengdu is the panda capital of the world. The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a huge facility dedicated to conserving these adorable bamboo-munching bears. They have nurseries for baby pandas that are just too cute. I'm lucky because my class goes on a field trip there every year to learn about conservation efforts. Pandas are my favorite animal - they're so fuzzy and lazy, just like me!Of course, living in Chengdu means dealing with somenot-so-great stuff too. The traffic is really bad, with tons of cars and motorbikes crowding the streets. The air pollution can also get pretty nasty sometimes from all the factories and construction. My parents are always nagging me to wear a face mask when it's smoggy out. No fun!Still, I really love my city. The friendly people, the beautiful scenery, the amazing culture - Chengdu has it all. We even haveour own cute little mascot called the Tan Tan. He's this adorable little figure that looks like a cross between a panda and a chuanqi mythological creature. You can find Tan Tan stuff for sale everywhere - plushies, snacks, trinkets. He represents the laidback, relaxed vibe of Chengdu.Locals like to say there's an "easy going" attitude here. We never seem to be in much of a rush - we prefer to take it slow and appreciate the simple things in life. On weekends, you'll see tons of Chengdu folks out strolling in the parks, playing mahjong, and just hanging out with friends and family. That's the Chengdu way!I feel really lucky to have been born in such a special place. Chengdu is my home and I can't imagine living anywhere else. The sights, the sounds, the smells - they're all a part of me. Sichuan is truly the "Heaven on Earth" that it's nicknamed.I hope you've enjoyed learning about my incredible hometown. If you ever get a chance to visit, let me know! I'll show you all the best spots for amazing food, fun activities, and peaceful downtime in the parks. You'll leave with a newfound love for Chengdu's easygoing charm. Thanks for reading and feel free to ask me any other questions!Your friend,Xiaoming。

我的家乡Myhometown英语演讲(五篇)我的家乡My hometown英语演讲 1Hello everyone,It’s my honor to have a speech here.We all know that autumn is a harvest season; it brings us achievements and celebrations. But this year is quite different. We are ing the 60th birthday of our nation! What proves the growth of our country? What proves that our country is ing stronger and stronger?Of course, the changes, the avhievements. Now we can touch the pulse of the social progress, the changes of clothing, food, the living conditions and so on.Once my grandma said that in the planned economy, everything has its own certificate,“New Dress” is only a desire and many children could only expect new clothes on Chinese New Year. When my grandmother put on new clothes on New Year’s Day,she would be quite satisfied and proud, because many children would e to appreciate it.At that time, new clothesare rare for mon people.Sixty years ago,it’s quite usual that a big family crowded in a small room. They put up a curtain separating the house into two parts, and sometimes there might be some mice.My grandma said they played only seated in bed and several children did their homework on a small table. But now, good conditions, most families not only have a nice house with a lot of furniture, but also have more than one house.Great changes have taken place gradually around us,especially after The Reform and Opening up.History tells us and tells future,DengXiaoping’ construction was right. In 2001,our country joined the WTO.Then we launched the Shenzhou V,VI,VII and Chang’e spaceship into space, and held the Beijing Olympics. We still remember the yesterday of last year, when the big earthquake happened, the whole nation was shocked and moved. Not only volunteers but everyone was devoted to help people in need.Today we see a new look of Sichuan people, the energy and hope of Sichuan people. What a beautiful day!As students,we are enjoying the benefits of the progress of our country. Now we are studying in a garden school which has experienced one hundred years of unusual history.Look, thebright classrooms, the tall buildings, the green trees and these energetic students! We should work hard, for our future, for our school and for our nation. And I’m sure that a better life and a harmonious society are around the corner.Have you seen them?第二篇:Green-colored sunshine shining though soft leaves, all the gre en days in the growth rings’ telling legend to the future and the past. These green hopes in the Olympic rings are just like warm hugs and brilliant haloes under the blue sky of Beijing. As the 29th Olympic Game which is held in Beijing is ing up soon, every citizen in our city is a messenger of green Olympic, we love our city and care more and more about our environment. In those lovely smiling face, I’m touched dee__ for all the efforts we make.I can see the grassland is greener; the blue sky is beautiful and clean, and every little tree is growing happily in warm and gentle breeze. This is my hometown, this is beautiful Beijing, and there place the Green Olympic hopes on.Thinking about a few years ago, when I saw the taxonomic dustbin in our munity for the first time, the Green Olympic made no difference in my mind. I just regarded it as an interesting wayto sort garbage. But when a few days later I raised my hands high up and was eager to be a member of “the Communist Youth League’s EPD group", I told myself firmly, "It’s a great way to make contribution to the 2008’s Beijing." Maybe this is why I have that much passion on this great action. In the following months, we have activities such as picking up all the plastic things which are surrounded our school together with our teacher. We were all very excited about this meaningful thing. We also set up special dustbins for used batteries, so that we can both pollute less and recycle more. When seeing all the plastics and the batteries were carried on the truck which was going to the recycle factory to handle these things, we were all very happy about it. Everyone forgot all the hardness. To let the dream of" Green Beijing" e true, all of us should give a hand. "I’ve do something great for you Beijing," What a great sentence! And at the same time, the actions of protecting the environment are going on, too. My father changed all the taps in my family into saving-water ones, and all the water we use are recycled for at least 2 or 3 times. I always can hear this ad on CRI, it says, "5 million children died each year, just for the drinking water." So, help us to make the world safer. Although my actionsare rather small, but I think with all of you guys help, there will be a strong power. The color green gives the Olympic Game a deeper meaning, green is in flowers, grasslands and in trees; Green is in the sky, in the earth and in the sunshine. But to my opinion, green’s also in our minds, in our smiles and in the great love.Once in an activity which was to plant trees for the munity, every planter got a card to hang out on the tree with writing a few meaningful words. Do you know I have written what? That is: "Happy growing!""Happy growing!" To every little tree in our green dreams."Happy growing!" To The changing Beijing!"Happy growing!" To The green Olympics bud in every citizen’s heart! It’ll turn out sweet 3 years later in 2008!我的家乡My hometown英语演讲 2Beijing is not only the city where I was born, but also the only place I've never been able to leave. 5 years ago, I moved from here to another city to begin my college life. The day I left beijing I felt as a fish out of water.beijing is the only place where I've walked past a schoolyard and pictured a future son or daughter of mine playing balls.I love this city. She’s small and quiet. Every day I live here, I could have the safety feeling which I got when my mother held me in her arms.I love this city. She is very beautiful and lovely. Everywhere you can see the flowers, grass and trees. The shops are full of all kinds of goods. When you walk in the street, you can feel the gentle wind touching your face and breathe the fresh air.I love this city. The climate here is very warm which is very suitable for people to do some outdoors activities.I love this city. She is where I have lived for fifteen years with my parents, my good friends, and my teachers who have supported me. She has almost all my memories.I love the night of beijing. People sit in the gardens of their houses or in the small restaurants, chatting, drinking and enjoying the delicious seafood which is abundant in our city.I love the sunrise of beijing. When I was still a little girl, my parents and I used to climb up the hill in the morning to see the sunrise. When the beautiful sun went up, the gentle breeze brought us the fragrance of the flowers, the golden sunshine made our hair shimmer, and my heart would be filled with hope and happiness!Maybe someday I will have to leave this city, but no matter where I would go I will never forget this city, its people, its trees and its sunrise. Yes, everything that it gave me could be given by other places, but my love won’t be changed, because it is my home town.我的家乡My hometown英语演讲 3My hometown of Changsha, the provincial capital of Hunan Province. 英文作文向外国人介绍自己的家乡
英文作文向外国人介绍自己的家乡全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My HometownHi there! My name is Johnny and I'm going to tell you all about my awesome hometown. I live in a really cool city called San Francisco. It's in California, which is a state on the west coast of the United States.San Francisco is famous for its big red bridge called the Golden Gate Bridge. It's super tall and you can walk or drive across it. The bridge connects San Francisco to another city called Marin County. Underneath the bridge, there's a lot of water called the San Francisco Bay. You can go sailing or fishing on the bay.One of my favorite places in San Francisco is Fisherman's Wharf. It's right on the bay and there are tons of restaurants, shops, street performers, and sea lions! The sea lions just lie around on these wooden docks, barking and sunbathing. They're really funny to watch. At Fisherman's Wharf, you can buy freshseafood like crabs, shrimp, and clam chowder (that's a soup). It's delicious!Another awesome place is Golden Gate Park. It's a huge park right in the middle of the city with gardens, playgrounds, museums, and even a Japanese tea garden. My friends and I love riding our bikes on the trails. There's also an aquarium, a buffalo pasture with real buffalos, and a botanical garden with tons of cool plants and flowers from around the world. The streets in San Francisco are really steep and windy, kind of like a rollercoaster! To get around, a lot of people ride on cable cars. Cable cars are these old-fashioned trolley vehicles that hang onto tall wires to help them up and down the big hills. They're pretty neat.San Francisco is famous for its diverse neighborhoods and cultures too. In Chinatown, there are amazing Chinese restaurants, stores, and celebrations for holidays like Chinese New Year. The streets are decorated with lanterns and dragons! The Mission District is a Hispanic neighborhood with colorful murals on the walls and yummy Mexican food like burritos and tacos.I love the pizza, pasta, and gelato (that's fancy ice cream) in North Beach, which is the Italian neighborhood. And inHaight-Ashbury, there are lots of funky vintage stores and it's where hippies gathered back in the 1960s. There's street art, music events, and a fun, artistic vibe. The weather in San Francisco is pretty crazy. Even when it's sunny, there can be freezing cold wind and fog coming off the Pacific Ocean. That's why people call it "foggy San Francisco." We always have to dress in layers and bring a jacket, even in the summer! But when the fog clears up, the views of the bay and city from the top of San Francisco's hills are just breathtaking.Every year, there's a huge Pride parade in San Francisco to celebrate the LGBTQ community. My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I was born and raised in a city called Xi'an in the middle of China. It's an amazing place with a very long history and I'm really lucky to live there. Let me tell you all about my exciting hometown!Xi'an used to be the capital of ancient China over 1000 years ago during the Tang Dynasty. That was when China was ruled by emperors who lived in huge fancy palaces. The most famous sight in Xi'an is the City Wall that goes all the way around the old city center. It's one of the biggest ancient city walls in the whole world! You can even walk or bike along the top of the wall and see the view over the city. It's so tall and wide that historians say chariots used to ride across the top back in olden times. How cool is that?!Inside the City Wall there are loads of fascinating historical sites to explore. The most incredible one is probably the Bell Tower right in the middle of the city. The giant bell hanging at the top was rung every single day to tell the people what time itwas before we had clocks and phones! Another amazing place is the Muslim Quarter with its lively markets and yummy food stalls selling local Xi'an specialties like roujiamo (shredded pork burger) and biangbiang noodles. The smells of spices and sizzling meat wafting through the narrow streets make my mouth water just thinking about it.But Xi'an isn't just about old monuments and history stuff. We have a brand new modern city too with huge skyscrapers, massive shopping malls, and tons of fun attractions for kids like me. My favorite is the Qujiang Ocean Wolrd - an epic aquarium where you can see sharks, dolphins, seals and fish from all over the world swimming around you in huge tanks of water. The best bit is the transparent underwater tunnel you can walk through with sharks circling above your head! There's also a roller coaster and other cool rides outside.Another place I really enjoy is the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a beautifully carved tower standing 64 meters tall. Legend says it was built to harbor Buddhist scriptures brought to China from ancient India over 1300 years ago. You can climb up inside the hollow pagoda all the way to the top and look out over the whole city. It's the perfect place to take photos and selfies! Atnight when it's all lit up, the pagoda looks like a giant shining candle in the sky. So pretty!Of course, living in Xi'an also means getting to experience the most important Chinese festival - Chinese New Year! Every year in late January or February, the city gets decorated with billions of bright red lanterns, colorful lights and amazing displays for the big celebration. My favorite part is watching the incredible fireworks shows that light up the night sky for hours with thundering explosions of color. Sometimes the smoke from the fireworks gets so thick you can barely see! It's absolute chaos but so much fun.Xi'an is famous all across China for its delicious local food too. As well as the classic dishes like roujiamo and biangbiang noodles, we have so many other yummy snacks and specialties. You've got to try rou'an crunchy cracker snacks, pomegranate juice, and the soft and chewy tounai pastries filled with sweet or savory fillings. My mouth is watering again just thinking about the flavors! We even have entire streets devoted tonight markets selling mountains of sizzling skewers with every kind of meat, veggie and seafood you can imagine. You haven't lived until you've wandered those bright, noisy food alleys with thedelicious smells wafting all around you. I'm getting hungry just writing about it!As you can probably tell, I absolutely love my vibrant, exciting, fascinating hometown Xi'an. It has a bit of everything - amazing ancient history, beautiful architecture, incredible food, and state-of-the-art modern fun too. Xi'an really is one of the coolest cities in the whole world! If you ever get the chance to visit China, you have to come see my home city. I'll take you to all the best spots and you can experience Xi'an's magic for yourself. Just watch out for the guys dressed up as ancient Terracotta Warriors trying to make you pay for photos - that's a classic Xi'an travel scam! But apart from that, Xi'an is an absolute blast and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do.篇3My Wonderful HometownHi there! My name is Andy and I'm 10 years old. I live in a really cool city called Shanghai in China. Let me tell you all about it!Shanghai is a massive city with over 24 million people living here. That's a lot of people! The city is right on the coast of the East China Sea. We have a really long history going back over700 years to the Ming Dynasty. Lots of famous things happened here over the centuries. But these days, Shanghai is known for being a modern, global city. We have the second tallest building in the world called the Shanghai Tower. It's 632 meters (2,073 feet) tall! The top looks like it's touching the clouds. At night, the whole building lights up in colorful lights. It's so pretty.Another iconic sight is the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. It's this huge tower that kind of looks like a giant golf ball on a stick. You can go up to the top and get an amazing view of the whole city below you. The Bund is a famous waterfront area with tons of cool buildings from the 1800s and 1900s. It's right along the Huangpu River that flows through Shanghai. My favorite place is probably the Shanghai Disney Resort though! It opened in 2016 and has the biggest Disney castle in the world. The roller coasters and rides are so much fun. I love going there with my family.Shanghai has a humid subtropical climate, which means we have four seasons but it's pretty mild overall. Summers can get really hot and humid though. Winters are cool but we rarely get snow. Spring and fall are just about perfect weather. Thanks to being a global hub, we have food from all over the world here. But you have to try the local Shanghai cuisine too! My favorite dishes are xiaolongbao (small steamed dumplings), shengjianbao (pan-fried dumplings), and jianbing (an egg crepe kind of snack). The seafood is also amazing since we're right on the ocean.Shanghai people are known for being kind of fast-paced and work-oriented. The city never sleeps with businesses and markets open super late. But we're also proud of our traditions like annual festivals and holidays. Every Chinese New Year is like a big city-wide party with fireworks, dragon dances, and delicious feasts.I love growing up in such a vibrant, international city. There's always something new and exciting to explore here. Modern skyscrapers stand right next to historic temples and gardens. The mix of global and local culture is really special.Shanghai isn't perfect though. The traffic can be absolutely crazy with so many cars and people out on the roads. The city smog also gets pretty bad some days. And with millions of people crammed together, it can feel overcrowded at times. My parents always tell me to be careful when I'm out.Even with those downsides, I'm so grateful I get to call Shanghai my hometown. Where I live is unique and fascinating. We have world-famous attractions but also quiet neighborhoods to escape the hustle and bustle. There are endless opportunities here for someone like me.In the future, I hope Shanghai can become even more globally influential while preserving our history and traditions. I can't wait to see what other amazing changes happen as I get older! Maybe I'll take over the family business or start my own company here. As long as I'm in Shanghai, I know I'll be able to achieve anything I dream of.If you ever get the chance to visit, you have to come experience the energy and excitement of my hometown for yourself. I'll show you all the best places to go! Just be ready to walk a ton because it's a big city. Maybe I'll even introduce you to some of my favorite xiaolongbao spots. Trust me, you'll never want to leave once you get a taste of amazing Shanghai!篇4My HometownHi there! My name is Michael and I'm 10 years old. I was born and raised in a city called Shanghai in China. Shanghai is a really cool place and I want to tell you all about it!Shanghai is a massive city with over 24 million people living there. That's a ton of people! The city is right on the coast of the East China Sea. There's a huge river called the Huangpu River that runs through the middle of Shanghai too. Because it's by the ocean, we get to eat a lot of delicious fresh seafood like crabs, shrimp, and fish. The city has so many tall skyscrapers and bright lights at night. It almost never gets totally dark out because of all the neon signs and buildings lit up. One of the most famous views is called "The Bund." It's this waterfront area with oldEuropean-style buildings on one side and futuristic modern skyscrapers on the other side. At night it's all lit up and looks so cool!Shanghai is famous around the world for its incredible skyline. The tallest building is called the Shanghai Tower and it's over 2,000 feet high! That's almost as tall as two Empire State Buildings stacked on top of each other. From the top observation deck, you can see the entire city in every direction. It's crazy.Another thing that's awesome about Shanghai is the food. My city is known for having some of the best cuisine in China and maybe even the world. We have these crazy good soup dumplings called xiaolongbao that are filled with hot soup and meat. You have to be careful eating them so you don't burn your mouth! Shanghai is also famous for a dish called Hongshao rou which is super tender braised pork belly in a sweet soy sauce. It's so fatty and delicious. There are bustling outdoor markets all over Shanghai selling fresh produce, meats, and snacks. I love going with my grandma to the wet markets and sampling all the different street foods. Some of my favorites are shengjianbao (fried pork dumplings), jianbing (crispy crepe with egg and crispy wonton wraps), and tanghulu (candied fruit on a skewer). Yum!Transportation in Shanghai is really convenient too. We have one of the largest and most modern subway systems in the world with over 300 miles of track. The metro goes pretty much everywhere you'd want to go. Above ground there are tons of buses, regular taxis, and these fun mini-vans called bao-bao che that you can hail down like a taxi. For longer trips, we have high-speed bullet trains that can reach over 200 mph! That's faster than a cheetah running. If you visit Shanghai, one place you have to go is the Yu Garden. It's this gigantic traditional Chinese garden with beautiful pavilions, ponds, bridges, and rock formations. All the buildings and structures are so intricate and ornately decorated. It feels like you've stepped back in time to ancient China when you walk around inside. For fun, there are a bunch of great arcades and game centers that are perfect for kids like me. My favorite is Happy Valley which has roller coasters, go-kart racing, laser tag, and virtual reality games. I also love going ice skating and skiing at some of the huge indoor facilities around the city.Of course, Shanghai has its problems too. Because there are so many people and cars, the traffic can be absolutely terrible, especially during rush hour. The air pollution gets pretty bad too from all the factories, construction, and vehicles. Sometimes the sky is completely gray with smog. But the government is working hard to try to improve the environment. All in all, Shanghai is an awesome city that blends the ancient and modern together. The food is incredible, the sights are amazing, and there's always something fun to do. If you've never been, you have to come visit my hometown! Just beprepared for the crowds and bring an umbrella - it rains a lot here. Let me know if you have any other questions!篇5My Awesome HometownHi there! My name is Jordan and I'm 10 years old. No matter which beach you pick, you're guaranteed to have a great time.Downtown San Diego has lots of tall buildings and is a busy, exciting place. My name is Alex and I'm 10 years old. I was born and raised in a city called Shanghai, which is in the country of China. Shanghai is a really big and exciting place that I'm going to tell you all about!Shanghai is located right on the coast of East China. It sits along the Huangpu River that runs into the Yangtze River. The Huangpu River divides Shanghai into two parts - Puxi on the west side and Pudong on the east. Pudong is the newer side with all the big skyscrapers and fancy shopping malls. Puxi is the older downtown area with traditional neighborhoods called "lilong" lined with little alleyways. There are over 24 million people living in Shanghai, making it one of the biggest cities in the whole world! All those people means the city is always buzzing with energy and excitement. The streets are packed with cars, buses, taxis and scooters zipping around. The sidewalks are crowded with people walking, shopping, eating at street food stalls and just hanging out. Atnight, the city lights up with huge neon signs, illuminated skyscrapers and decorations for holidays and festivals. It's truly a city that never sleeps!Speaking of holidays, we have so many fun celebrations and festivals throughout the year here. The biggest one is Chinese New Year in late January or February. During that time, we decorate our homes with red lanterns, firecrackers go off constantly, dragon dances happen in the streets, and everyone gathers for huge feasts with their families. For the Qingming Festival in early April, we visit our ancestors' graves to tidy them up and make offerings. In June, we have the Dragon Boat Festival where we eat sticky rice dumplings and watch dragon boat races along the river. Mid-Autumn Festival in September is when we admire the full moon and eat delicious mooncakes! There's always a fun holiday to look forward to.When it comes to food, Shanghai has some of the best and most unique dishes in China. We're famous for our delicious xiaolongbao soup dumplings that are filled with hot broth and pork. Shengjianbao is another tasty dumpling that's fried on the bottom so it's crispy. Other local specialties are hairy crab in the fall, hongshao rou (braised pork belly), niangao (sticky rice cakes), and jianbing (crispy crepes). There are food streets and nightmarkets all over the city where you can sample the most amazing snacks and meals from mobile food carts and tiny restaurants. I especially love going to the Huaihai Road community courtyard to eat at all the affordable hole-in-the-wall places there. We have some really cool attractions and landmarks here too. One of the most iconic is the Oriental Pearl Tower which has these awesome extending arms and looks like a giant spaceship landed in the city. You can go up to the observatories at the top and see amazing views of the whole metropolis below. The Bund is this famous waterfront area with lots of old European-style buildings from when Shanghai was divided into foreign concessions. It's one of my favorite places just to walk around and take in the classic architecture along the Huangpu River. Another must-see is the Yu Garden in the Old Town part of the city - it has these beautiful carved jade rock gardens and ancient pavilions where you can feed the koi fish and turtles in the ponds. One of my personal favorite things about Shanghai is that there's always entertainment and activities for kids like me. We have huge world-class amusement parks like Shanghai Disneyland and Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park where you can see marine animals and ride insane roller coasters!
