[教材分析]
教学内容为“go for it ”新目标英语八年级上册第六单元section a
(1a-3c)。
学习内容主要体现在以下3点:
1、学习有关人物特点的单词:tall, fat, thin, short, heavy, calm, wild, long hair, short hair, outgoing, quiet, funny, serious, smart, athletic, beautiful, ect.
2、学习人物比较的重要句型:
(1) pedro is funnier than paul.
(2) tina is taller than tara.
(3) tom is more athletic than sam.
3、掌握语法点:the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives (形容词的比较级和最高级)
[学生分析]
1、利用多媒体课件上英语课,学生视听感受明显,表现出极大兴趣,在欣赏和享受中学习,学习效果很明显。
2、学生以前已经学过有关人物特点的单词,但不会将其变形,用于
人物或事物的比较中。
通过对本课的学习可以巩固所学知识,掌握
用正确的语
言结构表达人物特点和人物比较。
[教学目标]
本课以素质教育为目的,结合教材重点、难点及英语学科特点,利
用多媒体辅助教学,从视、听、说等方面使学生得到锻炼,在愉快、轻松的氛围中温故而知新,达到初步运用英语交际的能力。

[教学设计]
本节课的教学内容一共有五个部分:lead-in; words study; listening and speaking; comparison degree learning; homework.
step 1 lead-in(10minutes)
1.把全班学生分为四个小组,看哪个小组能说出最多的关于人物外
貌或性格的形容词。
teacher: which group can tell me the adjective words(形容词)about appearance (外貌) and personalities (性格) as many as possible?
2.展示一些名人或有趣的相片,并和学生谈论他们的人物特点。
[1、复习已学内容,自然延伸到新课学习,起到承上启下的作用。
2、开展竞赛活动,既可调动课堂气氛,又可提高学生求知欲望,一
举两得。

step 2 words study(5minutes)
在学生已掌握部分人物特点形容词的情况下,增加新的单词,扩充
学生词汇量。
step 3 listening and speaking(15minutes)

1、listen to the tape and number the pictures in 1b.
2、listen to the tape and complete the chat in 2a. listen again and fill in chat in 2b.
3、check the answers.

1展示相互比较的图片,让学生归纳规则单音节词及少数双音节词、多音节词比较级的构成形式。
在课堂上让学生多动脑思考,养成其
独立思考解决问题的习惯。

激发学生的学习兴趣,并且有利于加深学生课堂记忆】

[教学材料备份]
此课堂是主要建立在利用多媒体教学设备进行教学的,作为教师不能是依靠多媒体,而应该是借助多媒体设备进行教学。
所以教师应该考虑到设备可用性问题,在课前将教学材料备份。
如:准备纸质相片以备ppt不能正常播放

一、教学设计思路:
本课是一节任务型听说课。
通过听说练习以达到灵活运用所学英语的能力。
步骤一:热身准备激活学生已有知识。
目的:让学生进入上课状态,导入教学内容。
激活学生已有知识,准备
学习新知识,并激发学生学习兴趣。
步骤二:导入新语言项目
目的:通过一定的场景导入性语言结构,同时呈现其用法。
步骤三:感受词语
目的:学生在教材内容的刺激下激活已有的词语运用,并学习新词语,
形成新的词语运用能力。
步骤四:感受新知
步骤五:总结发现语法规律,实践操练语法项目。
目的:引导学生总结语法现象,通过练习和例句,让学生理解语法项目
更广泛的用法,提高语法运用的准确性。
步骤六:运用新语言完成任务
目的:学生通过小组活动等形式完成任务,体验新学知识的真实运用形
态,形成在所给语境中运用语言的能力。
步骤七:课外拓展,布置作业
二、教学目标:

1) 能掌握以下单词:shoot, stone, remind
能掌握以下句型:
① how does the story begin?
② what happened next?
③ what do you think of the story of yu gong?
④ what could yu gong do if he didn’t move the mountains?
2) 能够用英语询问故事的开始、发展及后续等。
能够对故事中的人物或情节发表一些简单的看法或观点。

学习愚公,要学习他“顽强拼搏”的精神。
在我们生活工作中存在着很多的“山”。
在这些山的面前我们应该采取怎样的态度对待它?是通过“搬家”来避开它;还是像愚公一样明知困难却迎难而上?凭借自己的力量勇敢地克服困难。
愚公不畏艰险,不怕困难,勇敢面对的精神,正是值得我们所学习的。

1. let ss read the sentences below. explain some main sentences for the ss. make sure they know what to do.
2. play the recording for the ss to circle the correct words in the brackets.
1) a man saw yu gong and his (children / family) when they were working on moving the mountains.
2) he told yu gong he could never do it because he was old and (poor / weak).
3) as soon as the man finished (talking /speaking), yu gong said that his family could continue to move the mountains after he died.
4) finally, a god was so moved by yu gong that he sent (two / three) gods to take the mountains away.
5) this story reminds us that you can never (know / see) what’s possible unless you try to make it happen.

新课程标准强调要促进每个学生身心的健康发展,培养学生良好的
品质和终身学习的能力,提倡交流与合作,自主创新学习。
本人现
就本课教学实际反思如下:
1.创设语境,激发学生学习兴趣
本课通过目标话题yu gong moves the mountain 到 hou yi shoot the suns 等中国传统故事,引发学生学习兴趣。
学习兴趣的培养还
要给予学生一定的语言基础,使学习兴趣更加巩固。
所以,词汇的
积累也是十分必要。
激发学生学习兴趣还要让学生敢于开口。
故而,学习应由简到繁,循序渐进。
本课先让学生听,然后回答问题how does the story begin? what happened next? 并给予足够的练习,再到让学生口述故事梗概。
2.语法讲授,拓展训练
在学习英语语言的过程中,基本的语法讲解是必要的。
新教材重语
境忽视语法讲解并不是不能进行语法讲解。
对于初中学生来说,又
没有自然的语言环境,除了大量的语言训练,还要有语法讲解。
本
课就remind这个单词的用法提出了其常用的短语remind sb of sth
和 remind sb to do sth .而后设计了几个训练题。
拓展训练有用自己口语化的语言复述课文,向小组或者班级讲愚公移山的故事。
通
过讲故事,达到练习巩固所学英语和运用的能力。
3.重视思想教育,练习生活实际
英语学习仍然离不开思想教育。
本课联系愚公移山的精神,引导学
生努力学习文化知识,将这一精神运用到生活中去。
并联系新乡市
郭亮村村民发扬愚公精神开凿穿山公路这一事实,进一步激励学生
不畏艰难,勇于进取。
