In the film we saw that a small accident led to large-scale blackout in New Y ork City, 40 million people are affected, the bustling convenient city turned chaotic, people can only rely on walking to work, autos parked on the road can't do anything. USA has one of the world's most advanced technology, but when out of the electricity the super machine will not be able to run. People always say American is a nation on wheels, but I think America is more like a country on power grid.
From the faraway space overlooking the United States, little light outline the net, from New Y ork to Seattle, from Boston to Miami, the power makes this country's night no longer darkness
In twenty-first Century people's life has been already cannot do anything witho ut electricity, the invisible things have become the basis of our daily life. So what is the electricity? How it is produced? America Revealed told me the answer .Every day, nearly 10 million tons of coal from Wyoming black thunder coal mine was transported to different power plants, The fossil fuel boil the water, steam driven turbine to generate electricity, And then the electric energy is delivered to the factory, hospital, school, transported to thousands of households
With the energy demand increasing and the great contradiction between pollution and energy demand , forcing the United States to have to look for new energy sources to replace traditional pollution large power plants. Wind power, nuclear power, natural gas power generation technology emerge as the times require . The energy of the future must be more clean, convenient and efficient.
